Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 600

Ch. 600 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

On the seventh day after chemotherapy, Tabitha could slowly get out of bed. But her hair had fallen out completely after this round of treatment.

Looking at herself in the mirror, her chin was sharp, but the top of her head was empty.

Theodora, supporting her, quickly tried to smooth things over, "Tabitha, it's okay. Your hair will grow back once you stop the medication."

Tabitha, however, laughed nonchalantly, "If I lose my life, what's the use of a beautiful appearance? I'm already grateful to the Moon Goddess for making me alive."

"Tabitha, I'm relieved to see you're so positive. But honestly, even without hair, you still outshine those with hair. Seeing you, I understand why that thrilling war happened back then."

"Dora, help me walk around. I want to get some fresh air."

"Sure."

This city was not like Seattle, which was now covered in heavy snow. The temperature here was suitable. It was not easy to catch a cold, and very suitable for Tabitha to recuperate.

After learning that Derek had left, she relaxed completely.

She knew she couldn't rush. She had to take her time with the treatment, and she would definitely get better.

Today's sunlight was not strong. The breeze gently brushed her face, bringing a few petals that fell on Tabitha's face.

It reminded her of many things, such as the smart Tucker, whom she had lost forever.

If it weren't for them, Tucker could have lived a few more years.

What a pity and smart dog.

And Joanna, after all this time, Tabitha still remembered the fresh face of that girl.

The past slowly emerged before Tabitha's eyes. Whenever Tabitha was in extreme pain, she thought of them.

Compared to the suffering they endured, she was way luckier. No matter how painful, she must persist.

Derek waited for seven days before the micro camera captured a picture of Tabitha.

She has changed a lot from before. She was thin, with no hair on her head. Her face was pale and frightening.

Even though it was just a video, Derek could clearly feel her current predicament, his eyes full of heartache.

Even Rolf, with his carefree personality, shed tears when he saw Tabitha like this, "Tabitha is too pitiful. I heard that chemotherapy gets worse each time, and the drugs seep into the bones bit by bit. And in the end, the whole body, even the bones, are in pain."

Alvin glared at him fiercely, his eyes full of blame.

Rolf was really a stupid guy, completely unable to observe the situation. He was like a reckless bull rushing into a porcelain shop.

He knew Derek was being tormented by pain. His heart was deeply stabbed by countless needles. But Rolf still said such things, which was only adding salt to Derek's already bleeding wound.

"Alpha Derek, Tabitha has finally endured. As long as she is alive, there is hope, right?"

Derek didn't speak. He just regretted why he had pushed Tabitha to this point, making her suffer so much.

He turned his back and spoke heavily, "Keep filming, don't let her find out."

His voice trembled when Alvin heard it.

"Okay, Alpha Derek."

Derek quietly left and went to Elena's courtyard. Even though her tendons were broken, Derek ordered the bodyguards to guard her strictly and not give her a chance to escape.

Elena sat staring at the butterflies dancing in the distance. Derek sat down beside her, his voice hoarse, "It's been so long, can you tell me why you targeted Tabitha?"

Elena probably thought Tabitha was already dead, so she was willing to speak.

"Do you want to hear my story?"
