Third person's POV
Jenny was not far away. And when she saw the chaos here, she immediately dashed over and pushed Tabitha away.
Before leaving, she stole a glance at Derek, feeling both helpless and annoyed, and thinking, 'What happened? It was all fine just a moment ago. What did he do to make her so pissed?'
Alvin also stepped up and said, "Alpha Derek, you shouldn't be so hasty. Patient, OK?"
Derek sighed, "I was just afraid that Tabitha would lose her will to live. I thought when she saw Kyrian, she would subconsciously have some motherly love towards him and try to pull herself together. But it turned out that I was wrong."
Alvin advised, "Just give up on that thought, Alpha Derek. Luna Tabitha can't get too emotional now. You should let her know about Kyrian's matter later."
"You're right."
Derek then crouched down and picked up Kyrian. He really hated Daphne to the bone.
After all, Kyrian was the only child that he had with Tabitha. And this was why he loved and took care of Kyrian so meticulously.
Controlling her wheelchair, Daphne slid up to Derek and said cautiously, "Derek, I just wanted to check on Tabitha. I didn't mean anything else."
"Daddy, Mommy misses you very much," Reid whispered timidly.
"Good boy." Derek rubbed Reid's head dotingly.
When he looked at Reid, there was endless tenderness in his eyes. And this was what Tabitha saw when she turned her head.
The four of them stood together, clearly looking like a happy family, which made Tabitha feel a bit uncomfortable in her heart.
She felt that Derek's love was so cheap.
When Jenny noticed this, she was a little worried and spoke up, "Luna Tabitha, don't misunderstand it. Alpha Derek only has you in his heart."
But Tabitha just said lightly, "Jenny, please don't say such things again."
She felt sick of it.
Then, Tabitha was sent back to her ward. Derek naturally didn't allow Daphne to go to see Tabitha. But later, he found that he wasn't allowed either.
Jenny stood at the door with a cold expression and said, "Alpha Derek, this is Luna Tabitha's order. Please don't make things difficult for me."
"Tabitha misunderstood something. I just wanna explain to her..." Derek sounded a bit anxious.
Jenny interrupted, "Alpha Derek, do you think your explanation can change anything? In Luna Tabitha's eyes, that's just another lie from you. I'm begging you, Alpha Derek, please don't go upset Luna Tabitha and make things worse again."
Jenny's accusation left Derek speechless. He did many things for Tabitha. But in the end, nothing he did was ever good for her.
Seeing Derek's dejected look, Jenny sighed helplessly and suggested, "Alpha Derek, you've been staying here and taking care of Luna for so many days. You should go back and have some rest. Also, give her some time."
Derek didn't wanna make things between him and Tabitha worse, so he took Jenny's advice and left.
When Jenny came back to the ward, she saw Tabitha reclining on the bed, thinking silently.
"Luna, Alpha Derek has gone back. He won't come to disturb you for some days at least," Jenny said softly.
Tabitha didn't respond, just staring fixedly into the distance.
Looking at her thin figure, Jenny felt very worried and asked softly, "Luna, do you wanna take a nap?"
But Tabitha breathed, "Jenny, I don't wanna stay in the hospital."
Hearing this, Jenny hurriedly explained, "Although you've had the chemotherapy, your condition is still not very stable. You need to stay in the hospital in case anything goes wrong with your body. Well, Luna, are you homesick? Maybe we can go home after you get a bit better."
"Home?"
Tabitha showed a bitter smile and sighed, "It's Derek's home, not mine."
As she spoke, she stared blankly at the ceiling. "I have no home in this world. I lost it a long time ago."
