Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 545

Ch. 545 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Orson felt a chill down his spine as the current Derek seemed like a wild beast about to break free from its chains.

Tabitha was the last chain that could hold him. Once something happened to her, who knew what he would become?

Orson's wolf had already sensed a strong danger and kept reminding Orson in his mind to stay away from Derek.

"Don't you think you're being too arbitrary? At least you should ask Tabitha herself for her opinion about this."

Derek said word by word, "The only outcome I wanna see is she lives. I don't care about the process. I just want her to be alive. Do you understand?"

Then he strode away. Watching his back, Orson felt sorry for Tabitha.

He figured that Derek was as self-centered as always and never knew how to love others.

Kamp came all the way here as fast as he could. As soon as he saw Derek, he seemed utterly guilty.

He slapped himself hard on the face and said, "Alpha Derek, it's all my fault. I neglected the most important point, which led Luna Tabitha to the current condition."

Derek didn't think he had any right to blame anyone. He was the one who did this to Tabitha.

"Now is not the time to apologize. Here are Tabitha's test results. See if there's anything you can do."

"OK." Kamp wiped his rain-soaked hands and took the report.

Then he immediately frowned. "This bad? She already has cancer? How could this be?"

Derek clenched his fists tightly and pounded the wall with great force, suppressing his great heartache.

He lowered his head and said in a muffled voice, "It was M-1 that caused Tabitha's wolf to lose her self-healing ability. The wolfsbane has invaded her system and has turned into cancer."

"Alpha Derek, don't beat yourself up. Alvin has already told me that the medical examination results for Luna Tabitha were tampered with. Besides, she was determined to keep it from you. You don't wanna see this."

Fate was cruel; things often went contrary to one's wishes.

Derek tried his best to keep Tabitha by his side, yet he only ended up pushing her further away.

Derek gritted his teeth and said, "It was Elena."

Kamp sighed. It wouldn't be appropriate for him to blame Elena together with Derek.

He could only change the subject quickly. "How is Luna Tabitha doing now?"

"The doctors advised giving up treatment. I asked them to schedule Tabitha with chemo to suppress the spread of cancer cells and buy some time. Are there any better anti-cancer drugs available in Poison and Wolf Shadow or Wellness Corp?"

Kamp nodded. "There's news that they've been developing anti-cancer drugs. It's worth a try."

Alvin reminded, "Alpha Derek, Elena has tried to kill Luna Tabitha multiple times. I'm afraid Poison and Wolf Shadow..."

He didn't finish his sentence. What Elena wanted was probably making things worse. How could she possibly help Tabitha?

"There's one more person!"

A cold light flashed across Derek's pupils. "Jasper!"

"Right! He's always wanted to take Luna Tabitha away. He won't harm her. Besides, he's a key member of Poison and Wolf Shadow. Maybe he has a way.

"But he hasn't been seen since we wiped their base out. I'm afraid there's no way to contact him."

"Try contacting him using Tabitha's number."

"Alpha Derek, rest assured. I'm gonna find him no matter what."

Derek took out his phone to contact Klein.

Klein owed Tabitha a favor, and he was the hidden financial magnate of Wellness Corp, so it was most appropriate to seek his help.

After Derek dialed Klein's number, he couldn't get through. He quickly told Alvin, "Contact Klein."

"OK, Alpha Derek."

Back then, Derek stopped Klein from exchanging kidneys with Tabitha. He was sure that an influential figure like Klein could manage to find a similar source of kidneys sooner or later. It had been so long, and perhaps Klein had already recovered.

Seeing Derek busy making arrangements, Kamp couldn't help but speak up, "Alpha Derek, I don't know if Wellness Corp and Poison and Wolf Shadow can save Luna Tabitha. I think it's better you get prepared in advance."
