The ongoing drama was no longer the center of attention. Instead, the woman at the door caught everyone's eye.
The expressions of Alpha Elliott and Andrea changed drastically.
How did Daphne manage to be here?
They had already taken measures, not giving Daphne a chance to come near Tabitha.
Who helped Daphne?
Zander, with blood all over his face, finally managed to turn the tables. He chortled and said, "Looks like you didn't win either, Derek."
Derek frowned deeply. He had been dealing with the mastermind behind the scenes these days. Yet little did he expect that person to have arranged such a move.
Tabitha had already seen Daphne. It was too late to explain whether he drove Daphne away or not.
Andrea broke the silence. "Truman, please escort the guest out."
Truman, always quick-witted, immediately said to Daphne, "Ma'am, I'm sorry, but we're not receiving guests today."
Yet, of course, Daphne wouldn't cooperate. She activated the wheelchair's glide mode and headed straight towards Derek.
"Derek, you can't do this to me! You promised you'd marry me! I've been crying every day since you left. I know I was wrong. I won't target Tabitha anymore. Can't we just go back to the old days? I really can't live without you."
Hearing her words, Andrea and Alpha Elliott knew things were moving in an unforeseen direction.
Tabitha lost her memory, but she wasn't stupid. She sensed something off.
Even Phoebe, who had been crying, turned silent and looked at Daphne.
An even bigger storm was coming.
Derek ignored Daphne; he looked at Tabitha.
He wondered if it was his illusion; Tabitha’s face was extremely pale.
She quietly looked at him without making a scene or even a sound.
Such calmness instead made him even more uneasy.
Finally, Tabitha managed to make a sound. "She's..."
Derek opened his mouth but couldn't utter a word. In this situation, whatever he said would be lying.
He couldn't explain it and couldn't lie to Tabitha anymore.
Daphne looked at Tabitha with a resentful expression in her eyes and said, "Who do you think I am?"
Zander's words earlier came back to Tabitha, and she had a person in mind. "Are you Daphne?"
Daphne was confused. What was wrong with Tabitha?
She asked Tabitha, "Are you playing dumb or what?"
Tabitha realized such a woman did exist. Did it mean Derek had betrayed her?
She looked at Andrea, feeling a bit helpless. "Andrea, even you lie to me, too."
Derek hurriedly walked towards Tabitha, somehow flustered. "Tabitha, hear me out. It's not what you think."
"So? What is it?" Tabitha vaguely felt that besides her stomach, her heart seemed to ache as well.
She endured it the whole night. She couldn't hold on any longer.
Derek opened his mouth to explain when a brisk child's voice came from the door. "Daddy! Mommy!"
Tabitha looked toward the door. There stood a boy about three years old who looked exactly like Derek.
It had been quite some time, and Kyrian was already able to walk freely again. He ran towards the two on his short legs.
At that moment, Tabitha felt that she was nothing but a joke.
Sneering, she realized that Zander wasn't the liar; instead, it was the whole Greenwood family.
All of a sudden, a scene flashed across her mind. It was 3 o'clock in the morning, and after Derek got Daphne's call, he headed out to go to Daphne. She cried and begged him not to leave, but he coldly shook her hand away.
She thought, 'So, Derek betrayed me and had a kid with the other woman.'
In the next second, she let out a mouthful of blood.
Slowly, her staggering body collapsed.
"Tabitha!"
