Derek's POV
I dare not approach Tabitha anymore. The only thing I could do was watch from afar outside the ward.
"Alvin, arrange a DNA test between Tabitha and Kyrian immediately. Once Tabitha sees the results, she will definitely believe me," he ordered.
A flicker of complexity crossed Alvin's face as he reminded me, "Alpha Derek, can you hear my thoughts?"
I turned to him, my eyes filled with confusion.
Then I heard Alvin say slowly, "Alpha Derek, the biggest issue between you and Tabitha is not the truth. We all know you have no intimate relationship with Miss Sutten. But the fact is you deceived and hurt Tabitha. Even if you explain, do you think Tabitha will trust you now?"
Thinking of her intense reaction just now, I said dejectedly, "She won't."
"That's right, even if you give her the DNA test report, she will only think you are using your power to fake the truth. To be frank, Tabitha's condition is already very bad now. You can't do anything more to stimulate her."
Alvin was very straightforward. My existence was a stimulus to Tabitha.
At the same time, the doctor came out, led by the senior doctor of this hospital.
He didn't care about my identity. Seeing me, he frowned and scolded, "What's the matter with you? Do you think the patient lives too long? Why do you keep hurting her? She was finally stabilized, and so soon she was angered to vomit blood again."
I didn't feel angry, just worried.
"Doctor, how is my wife?"
"How is your wife? If it goes on like this, she can only live for half a month at most. If you want her to die in two or three days, keep stimulating her more."
The doctor was quite harsh.
I knew he was the relative of Orson's girlfriend and learned a bit about Orson's affairs.
I used my power to drive Orson out of Seattle for further studies. But in the end, I didn't take good care of Tabitha and harmed her like this.
So naturally, he was hostile to me.
For the first time, I was scolded but I didn't get angry at all. Alvin broke the awkward atmosphere. "Doctor, how are we gonna treat Tabitha now?"
"Treat her? What's the point of it? Isn't that just adding burden to her body?" the senior doctor snapped.
Orson coughed lightly, saying, "Sir, he is just too worried about Tabitha."
The doctor then changed his words. "Currently, the tumor in her brain is only phase one and can be controlled with targeted drugs. But the tumor in her stomach is already quite large. If not careful, it will cause massive bleeding and cannot be touched. What we can do now is anti-inflammatory and pain relief."
I then asked, "What about chemotherapy?"
"Chemotherapy?" The doctor glared at me again, "Can her current physical condition withstand the side effects of chemotherapy?"
"I can't let her die. Please arrange chemotherapy for her as soon as possible," I pleaded.
I can't guarantee that I can find Jasper in half a month. I must extend Tabitha's survival time for them to buy time.
Orson glared at me, raging, "Alpha Derek, she is already in much pain. What else do you want from her?"
I looked serious, "Dr. Romero, I know you are for Tabitha's good. My desire for her to live well is only more than yours, not less."
"Can't you let her go in peace in the last days of her life?"
I smiled bitterly. "Sorry, I can't do it. Please arrange chemotherapy for her as soon as possible."
