Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 491

Ch. 491 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

Andrea looked at me with concern and asked, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

I pressed my hand against my abdomen, my face showing some discomfort. "My stomach suddenly hurts a bit, but it's nothing serious."

"Since that's the case, don't drink anything cold in the future. I will have the doctor from the Thunder Pack come over to give you a check-up."

I shook my head. "No need to bother. I had just undergone a check-up at the Werewolf Hospital recently."

"Inspections also need to be conducted regularly. Don't think that we are werewolves and can ignore them just because we have strong self-healing abilities," Andrea suggested.

I said indifferently, "I'm feeling a bit under the weather, possibly due to the cold coffee. I think I'll head home and take a rest. Once I've wrapped up the preparations for Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet, I plan to schedule a thorough medical check-up during my free time."

"Sounds good," Andrea said, waving over a pack guard to fetch a blanket and asking someone to bring me a cup of warm water.

It felt good to be cared for, and I gradually accepted Andrea's presence from the bottom of my heart.

The two of us had lunch and talked about many details of the banquet. I hesitated and asked, "Andrea, shall we invite Derek's father to Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet?"

Andrea's eyes were filled with determination as she said, "Remember, from now on, the Black Thorn Pack only has one Alpha. He is your husband, Derek."

"Got it."

I'll have Jenny organize the guest list and send it to you. In the meantime, if you're not busy, you can familiarize yourself with the personnel of the noble houses here. From now on, it's going to be up to you and Derek to support the Blackthorn Pack together.

I was about to decline. Comparing studying medicine with managing the Black Thorn Pack, I'd much rather focus on my studies.

However, both Alpha Elliott and Andrea intended for me to take over the Black Thorn Pack. I had no choice but to wait until after the banquet to clarify things.

We were chatting when Ambrose walked in, with his arm around Phoebe's waist, not far away.

I actually admired a man like him, who loved someone consistently over the years, and even at his age, he still doted on his wife so much.

Not to mention them, even many young people nowadays could not be this lovey-dovey.

Andrea whispered to me, "See what I mean? Wherever I am, she'll show up. Just like cockroaches, she doesn't seem very harmful, but she's really annoying."

"Andrea, I'm done eating. Let's go."

Andrea pressed down on my hand that was about to put down the fork. We had been talking for so long just now that I had only just started eating.

"No need. Make sure you are full. We'll be seeing each other often in the future. I'm not the one in the wrong, so it's not my place to be the one to avoid."

I saw that she was not affected, so I continued to bury my head and eat.

I knew what Ambrose did to Derek in the past. He might hate me by association. I was not about to put myself out there with a warm greeting for someone who was likely to give me a cold shoulder.

From behind came Phoebe's voice, soft and gentle despite being well into her forties. "Ambrose, Tabitha is here too. Shall we join tables?"

I really wanted to persuade her to open a training class for bitches. There would definitely be a lot of people signing up.

Ambrose was just about to sit down when Andrea waved and called the waiter over. "We're not close. Please arrange a new table for them, far away from us. I'm afraid if I see them, I might feel sick and won't be able to eat."

I knew that in Ambrose's impression, Andrea was completely a fanatic, just like a crazy fan, and everything she did disgusted him.

But now, he actually saw disgust in Andrea's eyes.

How could Ambrose, who was used to being on top and respected, tolerate such treatment?

Immediately, a hint of discontent flashed across his face, and he said in a deep voice, "Andrea, I have something to say to you."

Andrea didn't even look at him. "Excuse me, help us call the police. Someone is harassing us here."

The waiter, sensing the tension between us, offered an awkward yet polite smile and said, "Sir and Madam, there are many open tables over there. Let's move to this side to dine."
