Third person's POV
Zander, acting as if nothing was amiss, supported Alpha Elliott with a considerate expression on his face, "Grandpa, Ambrose is right. Whether you acknowledge me or not, it doesn't change the fact that we are family through and through."
"Exactly. Ambrose was indeed too impulsive back then. He has known his mistake for years, and today he came especially to apologize. Please forgive him," Phoebe added.
Look at this dual attack, playing the family card. Today's visitors clearly came prepared.
Tabitha gradually calmed down. Derek had just had an accident, and they arrived right after. Was this a coincidence?
Alpha Elliott was not feeling well, somewhat powerless, and didn't even have the strength to scold them.
Andrea, who had been silent all along, spoke coldly, "Are you deaf or stupid? Can't you understand what Alpha Elliott is saying? Ambrose, if I remember correctly, you once said you would never step into the Black Thorn Pack for the rest of your life, right?"
Ambrose looked at Andrea with a complex expression in his eyes, mostly shocked.
Andrea has completely disregarded him for not only once, which would have been absolutely impossible in the past.
Andrea didn't even look at him but turned to bring Alpha Elliott some emergency herbal medicine.
Seeing this, Phoebe finally had her chance to shine.
"Mrs. Greenwood, I'm sorry. I know you hate me for taking Ambrose away. I didn't want it to be like this. I'm giving Ambrose back to you. Let him return to his roots. Let him come back, please."
Phoebe's move wasn't anything new, but Ambrose always fell for it and was about to get angry.
This time, Andrea beat him to the punch, "What's wrong with you? Who gave you the right to call me? Or do you live in the last century, so eager to come and be a Breeder? Since you have such awareness, okay, from today on, you can serve me, making coffee and pouring water, and don't even think about talking back when I scold you."
Ambrose quickly grabbed Phoebe and glared at Andrea, "Shut up, we have already rejected each other. Phoebe is now my mate. Show some respect."
This scene was heart-wrenching for Tabitha to watch - a woman who had loved him for years and borne him children, only to be treated like an enemy.
Fortunately, Andrea had already let go. She was not hurt by his words. "You know we have already rejected each other, as well. Why is she still calling me Mrs. Greenwood? Is a rogue omega without a pack even worthy of being on equal terms with me? Is my Thunder Wolf Pack something she can aspire to?"
Although Phoebe's purpose was to provoke Andrea, her background had always been her most sensitive point.
Especially today, as the true Mrs. Greenwood, what she hated the most was being reminded of her past.
"That's enough! Andrea, do you know why I don't like you? It's your aggressive attitude. You can never compare to a single finger of Phoebe's," Ambrose said. Andrea didn't get angry but laughed, "Ambrose, you're really funny. Do you really think I'm still the person from twenty years ago, waiting for you to come home every day? Why would I compare myself to her, a bitch? Our Thunder Wolf Pack has been in business for years. I call the shots here, dressed in gold and silver, living a happy life. When I was living my best life, what was your little lover doing, working in the fields or doing chores? Don't even talk about the people who were lining up to chase me back then. Even now, if I wanted to, dozens of young werewolves would want to pursue me. Why would I waste my time on you? Don't get a big head."
