Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter166

Ch. 166 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

HERZL

"Seems your mom would be going on a date tonight."

Those were the words of the driver, while we were on our way home. I knew why he said that. It was because of the man who mom stopped her car for at the roadside; the man who asked for help.

Come on, he merely asked for help, but I saw senses in what he said when she came back and gave the damn strange face to us who got her annoyed at the first place, and thus came the gossip of her PA and the new nanny she got me.

"Ma'am is going on a date tonight." That was the PA's voice, with a smile on herface. She was always on suit, and I guess she was beginning to look like a man, though she doesn't seem to care about that.

"How did you know she is going on a date? I thought she was mad at her son and the driver like you said." The nanny posed. She was probably being careful with her words, maybe because she just got hired and shouldn't be heard gossiping with a staff who is next to mom's heart.

"Yes, she was supposed to be angry, and I thought as much, but not after the driver told me about the fine guy, she stopped her car for." The PA said.

She was clearly referring to the guy who stopped mom's car and asked for help. Damn, mom was going on a date with a man she just met today, but she still refuses to stay with dad who she had been with for years.

"Fine guy? Ridiculous." The nanny lady doesn't seem ready for gossips. She just wanted to have her job in peace, and I guess she would have more of the peace she seeks if only she would align with the PA and ride on with the gossip.

"Yeah. There is this fine guy that just packed into the estate. He is a gym guy, and he's got money. He is every woman's fucken dream. He just got ma'am in his net." The PA continued unabatedly.

She doesn't care if the nanny was simply avoiding the gossip with her. She was just ready to empty every damn thing in her unseen mind, and I liked it that way, because she was feeding me with information, not knowing that I was standing by the kitchen's doorpost, eavesdropping on them.

"Do you like the guy, too?" the nanny posed.

I guess she's just being the pilot here, extracting answers from the PA.

"If you see him; you would like him. But the thing is, he would never roll with low lives with us when their big ladies like ma'am here." Said the PA who was nearly through with what she was doing.

I quietly took off from the doorpost and returned to my room. My mind was already stocked with what to do.

And what was that for heaven's sake?

Get my phone and put dad on call. A new shepherd had come for the flock he keeps, and he has every right to be notified.

CIARA

I was careful with my makeup, and every single padding and line made on my face, ranging from my eyebrows, to my golden nose, and down to my lips.

I knew there was all possible need to look really like an angel to a date with my new man, who looks good enough, too.

He said 7 o'clock dot, and it's already 6:30. Well, I had got to work, if not, I like getting set for date at 5 at the dot, but it's still cool though.

I hope he would bring me flowers. I hope he would make me feel on top of the world.

Those thoughts of mine brought smile to my face. It had been long I last felt loved this way, but I just had to manage to keep my reaction to the feeling of being special to someone at bay.

I focused my attention and thoughts on my cloth. It was a pretty, tight and shot dinner gown I picked from the Zara store nearby.

They have good clothes for ladies going on dinner, especially those of them who wish to look sexy to the little adventure.

Yeah, you are damn right. I crave to be touched, and if he would do exactly what I crave for, then, I would be damn glad, because that would be my first in two years.

You know, it's not cool to be celibate. It might be fair for men and stubborn widows, but not me and any other lady out there who is not a widow, and had been sexually active, and craving a touch by the opposite gender.

"Ma'am."

For the first time, I got upset with my PA for not knocking before pushing my door open and calling on me.

I gave her the right to do so the other time, but I felt it's high time to seize that right.

Well, that's me flattering with my mind. I turned to her and met her alarmed face.

"What?" I narrowed my eyebrows.

"It's Herzl. He is sick and shivering."

Those words increased the speed of my heart beat, and made my feet cold.

It took me just a few seconds to get myself to his room. He was lying on his bed shivering like a rat in a blizzard.

Good lord, my son is this sick, and I was about going on a date. Lord has mercy. I sat next to him and felt his temperature with the back of my hand.

He wasn't burning hot, but his body was shivering. Maybe he had internal fever.

"Herzl, son." I pulled him to my chest and kissed his face.

"Mom." He said with his eyes shot. His voice was weak.

"Herzl, the doctor would be here soon. My PA would get him soon enough. You would be alright."

"Mom...please, call dad."

I didn't like the fact that he had to get his dad into this, but I had no choice. I had to play by his rule, just to keep the grounds leveled.

I dialed Ryan's number. My PA had just returned a while ago to report that the doctor wasn't coming, so, we had to relying on giving him a few home remedies.

"Herzl is sick. He wants you by his side. Come, I won't keep you outside." I said, and aborted the call.

It was clearly a few minutes past seven, and the fine guy I met today would be waiting in vain to have me sit on the same table with him.

How do I explain to him that my son is sick, and my damn ex is coming over. Did I call him ex?

Yeah, he is ex in my heart because I wanted him no more, but he still doesn't want to sign the divorce papers, which meant he was truly still occupying the place of my legal husband.

He didn't waste time to come over, and I didn't bother to ask how he came so quick. He might have been sticking around somewhere.

He came in and shared the bedside with me, while we kept Herzl warm.

I just didn't want to talk with him, but I clearly knew he was going to spend the night here, not in my room, but in this house, and by the way, my date had been canceled, though I had not had chance to call the fine guy to notify him on that.

He touched Herzl's hair passionately, till the kid slept off.

I was simply to stroll off to my room, but as I headed out of the room, he followed me, stopped me at the passaged and pinned me to the wall.

"Ciara, I clearly didn't sign the divorce papers, therefore, you are still my legal wife."
