Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter156

Ch. 156 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

CIARA

We didn't have meal tonight.

I was so sad I even broke off from his embrace while we were in the kitchen, and he, too, lost his appetite, and thus turned off the stove.

I busied myself with my phone, going through the reports online on the event, and he busied himself with a bottle of vodka in the room.

That was his way of dealing with sadness, especially when his sadness involves me. Because me being sad, meant the night was totally useless, because though he's yet to earn a place in my heart, I would let him have my body under this situation.

The media is indeed a monster.

First, it started with the clips of men and women of the stone age, then it matured into writing as early as when choreographs came into existence in the earliest civilizations of man, but now, it had exceeded the speed of the lips and inks.

It had become really worse because anyone could access it at their comfort zone without putting in some energy or stress.

I bumped into the page of one of the best investigative journalists in town, and then came his report.

"I just gathered that my ex husband who summoned the police on my aunt, Elsie, who I refers to as Aunt Elsie, also summoned the media, with the intention of making Elsie's arrest go viral, forwhat the police claimed was forthe crime of abducting and..."

I dropped my phone on the bed and strutted out of my room.

All I asked of that asshole taking vodka in the living room was to take the police to the airport and arrest Aunt Elsie, not to take the media with him, but he just messed up like he would always do.

He is such a flop, and trust flops. They would always do what flops do.

I saw him in the living room, feeding himself with the smallish liquid, maybe to wash himself of the guilt of his mess.

Why wouldn't he wish he could wash off his guilt when he has done a lot of mess in his silly life. I ambled towards him, grabbed his mug and emptied it on his face.

He gasped and rose to his feet. He didn't see the attack coming, that was why it landed on him like a surprise.

Well, that's the same way his mess landed on me like a surprise. I didn't see it coming, but it landed on me and messed me up.

I wanted the liquid to sink into his eyes and burn hard on him, but he opened those eyes, bright and wide.

"What?" he posed with disgust, with his hands spread innocently.

"You brought the media into this mess; would you deny that?" I said with my face boiling in rage.

For heaven's sake, I want this idiot out of my life, but he is not just ready to do so, because he still wanted to make more mess of me.

Had he kept the media out of this, Aunt Elsie wouldn't have seen who to cry to and call me a psycho who is seeking out who to get into the police net.

Gosh, I want him out of my damn life!

"I didn't mean any harm, Ciara." He said in defense of himself.

I shrugged. He meant no harm, that's what he had to say. He would always mean no harm, after creating a room for havoc and causing me harm.

That's big madness and I'm taking it no more.

"Look, I don't want you in my life anymore. You've ruined my life so bad. You've ruined my reputation; you've ruined my career. I want you fucking out of my damn life you ugly piece of shit!"

I was boiling in rage.

A consuming rage, but he wasn't giving a fuck here. He wouldn't mind staying back to watch me do my worse here.

"Leave my house right away!" I pointed towards the big door.

"Ciara, calm down, let's talk about this. I meant no harm, you know that." He explained with the meekest of his voice, but my ears were hot and blocked, and my mind is made up, such that nothing on earth would change it.

"I don't give a fuck if you meant harm or not, just get yourself out of my life and let me have my peace for heaven's sake."

"Ciara!"

He, too, was mad, but I guess my madness was worse.

"You dared call my name!"

"Look, we don't have to fight over here. The enemy had done her worse, and what's left for us is to fight her together and fixed what she messed up in the public."

My lips curled into a mockery smiled.

I remembered our past. I remembered he left me because of his ex, and he only came back because I had made it.

That's it. That's all I know and cared for.

"You know what, Ryan, I had always had just one enemy, and that enemy is no other person but you. And you know what, I want you out of my company. You are hereby dismissed from your place as the acting CEO, and I..."

He grabbed my face and kissed me so hard that I felt my breath fading off.

It was such a nice kiss, but I was angry, and I don't care considering he was just doing his best to keep us away from getting ourselves into a bigger mess over what happened.

I pushed him off me, and gasped for air.

I don't have a crew of who taught him how to hold me and kiss me when I am mad at him, but whoever that taught him that shit should know that the trick would never workout tonight because I was damn mad at him and every shit about him.

"I want my son back. Leave my house you son of the devil! Out!"

That was a high-pitched voice with high temper, and he got the message just the right way, and thus left.

I sat on the sofa and sobbed. We were just at the verge of falling back to each other when the bad news came, and now, we've just messed everything up, and forsure, we would go our separate ways once again, because that was the only choice left for us here.

I didn't want it this way, but I guess I was right when I thought of getting myself an apartment and keeping away from people for a while before falling back to them all, but aunt Elsie ruined my plan by abducting me, and causing this whole madness.
