RYAN
We both had lots of fun, Herl was so excited running around and playing with other kids, he had ice cream, and candy and when it was getting late, we decided to leave there so we can have lunch.
Arriving at the restaurant, although I could not boost of a lot of money, but I wanted to give my son nothing but the absolute best, so I took him to five star restaurant, one of the best in town.
The waiter dressed in a polite and casual uniform of white shirt which was properly ironed and plain blacktrouser, the lines could be seen clearly.
"Good day Sir, here is our menu please go ahead and order whatever meal of your choice". A polite smile on his face as he placed the menu on the table before according us some privacy.
"Son, what would you like to have, I hear the steak here is very nice and tender, suitable for your milk teeth, how about we try it out"
"Yes Daddy, and I also want some orange juice, Mommy usually make them for me and store it in the refrigerator but now I can no longer have it"
"You do not have to worry, I will make sure it is available for your consumption everyday and served very chill"
"Yahh!! Thank you so much Daddy, you are the best!!" There was so much excitement beaming in his eyes that it made me elated.
The waiter comes back to our table and finally left the table again after getting our menu, not long after he left, he came back with a tray containing two servings of well cooked steak and sauce with some orange juice for my boy.
Herzl was so excited that he could not wait and immediately gorged into the meal. I watched enjoy the meal and today was a very happy day for him which would have been complete if Ciara was here with us.
We were still enjoying our meal when a light skin lady in her late twenties dressed in a red peplum top and skinny trousers walks in, at first I was going to ignore her, but then I glance at her again and the face looked so familiar, while I was trying to put her face into a picture, she called out to me.
"Ryan? Ryan Oh my God it's really is you!!" She screamed out as she embraced me tight and just like that, I instantly recalled her face.
"Mary! I can't believe this is you, how long has it been, twelve years....Thirteen?"
"I think it is almost twenty years because I haven't set eyes on you since high school"
"Yes! I can't believe that it been that long because seeing you right now, it feels like yesterday when we were running the pile at your house"
"Yeah and I could vividly recall when you broke the syringe on my dad's bike, he was so furious that he yelled out at the top of his voice"
She recalled and we both laughed to our heart's filled. "So how are you Mary and what has been going on with you since then, I mean it has been a long time now and so much must have happened in your life"
"Yeah! I went to school, graduated and became a business strategists, I got married but did not have so much luck with that, got divorce after two years and lost everything, so I came back here for a fresh start"
"So sorry about that, sometimes we just need to get away from our trouble for a fresh start, please join us for lunch". I offered and she sat down opposite my seat before she asked again.
"And you, how have you been, I guess this is your son right?"
"Yeah! This is my son Herzl, Son say hello to Aunt Mary"
"Hi Aunt, it is a pleasure meeting you" Herzl spoke in his usual innocent voice.
"Same here little man, it is a pleasure meeting you, your son is so lovely and cute"
"Yeah! He is my world"
"What about his mother?" Mary inquired and as if summoned by the devil, Ciara stormed right there, with a dark and furious gaze, leaving us all perplexed.
CIARA
I was having a lunch meeting with some business partners that were interested in our latest designs and ready to invest in our company, but my gaze suddenly drifted to afar to a male figure having a meal with what seemed like his family, a pretty girl sitting opposite him.
At first I could not believe my eyes that this was indeed Ryan until I saw Herzl sitting beside him, he was talking to a lady and had a wide smile on his face, one that I have never seen before.
This made my heart boil with rage, never has he warmed up to me like that, but he was so happy with the lady that I felt his cheek hurt from excessive smiling and laughing.
I rounded up the meeting as quick as I could and hurried over to where they stood, my eyes filled with rage.
"Mommy!" Herzl ran over and embrace me which melted my heart because the last time that I was with him, he was so furious with me and did not let me touch him.
Mommy I am so sorry about my actions today...
"It is alright son, I have totally forgotten about it"
"Ciara Hi, what are you doing here?" Ryan asked, totally stunned to see me. But instead, I walk up to him and kiss him on his lips before taking the empty seat close to him, a devious smile on my face seeing the confuse look on his face.
"I was here for lunch with a friend when I saw the both of you and decided to join in, hey lady"
"Hey, Ryan is she yourwife?"
"Yeah! I am the only woman that is ever going to be in his life and no one else is coming".
"Relax, I am not here to take your man away from you, we are only having a friendly chat"
"Oh yeah a friendly chat and a meal while you lurk around hoping that you can have him for yourself, You are never getting him so I am not scared of a whore like you, in just a snap of my finger, I can get rid of you!"
"Excuse me! Ryan are you going to seat here and watch this lady call me a whore"
"Ciara that is enough! Can't you have some self respect even in front of your child"
"Oh relax Ryan, I haven't insulted her, I only told her what she is, or baby girl can you look me in the eyes and tell me that you are not craving to have your arms wrapped around my man all day 10ng...."
Mary bit her lips hard and immediately got on her feet. "Meeting you here was a mistake and I can no longer seat here and watch her insult me while you remain silent!!"
"Mary wait please" Ryan called out, but she picks up her bag and storms out of there furiously.
A sly smirk still spread on my lips as I watched her leave the restaurant, Ryan was fuming with rage, but was trying so hard to keep his cool.
"Ciara! What the hell did you think that you just did!"
"Oh relax Ryan, I am yet to even start, but I promise you one thing, you are going to remain lonely for the rest of your life!!" I trail my fingers around his face as be remain still and staring at me and with one last laugh, I left his table.
I was feeling so accomplish and excited knowing that I ruined his day and determine to not let him get the best of me ever again.
