As soon as Mrs. Smith stepped in, I hurriedly pulled away from him, my face fluttering red with a flush of embarrassment.
Ryan also lowered his face, I could also feel him burning with embarrassment, we were like two teenage kids caught in the act and could not help but shy away.
Mrs. Smith chuckled at our childish attitude. "Look at the both of you feeling so shy, I am so glad to finally see the both of you together again." A wide smile spread across her lips as she spoke.
"Ciara dear, how are you feeling?"
"I am fine ma, sorry you met us like this."
"You have nothing to apologize about, this is your home, you are welcome anytime and free to do whatever you wish."
Ryan immediately drifted away seeing that it was women's talk and Mrs Smith occupied the empty space next to me, she held my hands and squeezed them softly.
"Look Ciara, I am so sorry for everything that you had to go through in the past and not standing by you through those hard period."
"It alright ma'am, like you just mentioned, it is all in the past."
"So are the both of you back together?" Her eyes were piercing at me but I lowered my eyelid, my cheek had turned flutter red like a teenager that just begun dating.
"We are still looking at how it will go."
"And I am certain that it is going to go well, my son has always love and adore you, everything he did was just to get back to you, he never meant any of those."
"I know, and I understand."
"Such a lovely girl, herzl will be so happy when he wakes up and hears about it, come on dear, give me a hug"
I spread my arms and we both embraced warmly, there was this sense of relief that I was feeling inside of me.
Ryan drove me back home in his car, the air inside the carwas kinda of intense with no words spoken between the both of us, but I could see him peaking a glance at me from time to time.
As soon as we arrived at my home, he hurried over and opened the door for me, a warm smile on his face as both oureyes locked together.
"Good night Ciara, tonight was fun, I enjoyed every bit of it."
"Me too" He steps closer and peak my cheek, a flutter of excitement curled up my stomach.
Sleeping through the night was as peaceful as a baby, I could not recall vividly the last time that I slept without taking pills or crying my self out to sleep, but tonight was different and when I woke up the next morning, when I arrived at work, we could not stop peaking glances at each other, I felt relieved having him around forthe first time.
After work, I stopped by at the supermarket, made some provisions for home before driving back home where I carefully began to make some meal.
I was still engulfed in slicing out the vegetables when a strong hand came from behind and embrace me I did not need to turn around to know that it was Ryan, his scent filled with apple cider situated around me as he kept placing kisses on my check, my back and neck.
"Ryan.. Good day."
"Morning my lovely angel, No cooking today wifey..."
"What are you talking about, I need to prepare something nice."
"I could not sleep all through the nights because I was thinking about you " He whispered into my ear like magic, I turned around and there was some maidens standing right behind me.
My eyes widened in bewilderment and I drifted my gaze at him trying to comprehend what was going on.
"Ryan what is going on here?"
"You are the most beautiful woman on earth and needs to be treated as such, therefore, I brought them over with luxurious dresses so that we can find out the one that suits you most."
"Oh my God Ryan!" My hands went up to my mouth, so surprised that I was filled with excitement, I hug and kiss him softly and he held my waist, his eyes staring deeply at me with so much admiration.
The girls helped me dressed up in a short sequins gown, it edge were strapped with flowery beads designs, a huge gold was hung around my neck and ear, they were careful with my hair and my makeup was sleek.
When I came down to the living room, his eyes went wild as he gazed at me, that I thought I was going to melt in his gaze.
RYAN
My thought were filled with Ciara the entire night, she had become like a drugs that I was addicted to, even while I watched her walk around the office, I felt like going over and holding her in my hands so that everyone could see that she was mine, but it took the entire strength in me not to do that.
I spent most of my day preparing a romantic dinner for Ciara, she has been through a lot and deserves it, but as soom as she stepped in that gown, I lost myself, carried away by her immerse beauty that I had to get up from the couch and walks overto her.
"You look so beautiful!" I almost gasp in my words, mesmerized by her beauty, her breathe fresh and enticing that all I wanted right there was to strip her off that dress.
"If you are done staring, then we can leave." She mentioned seeing that I was carried away and I could not help but chuckle loudly.
"Sure! " She tuck her arm around mine and we stride out of the house to where my car was parked. I opened the door for her and went through the other side as soon as she was seated comfortably.
The ride to the date was a calm one, a cool music playing in the car and all this made me realized how much I love this woman and what I have lost.
