CIARA
The entire week wasn't easy for me at the office, there was several side talks about how I got Gerald arrested and fired just because he had feelings for me, but not much of them knew of his abuse.
I could not comprehend what happened that night but regardless of it all, Gerald has been my best friend for a long time and was there for me through thick and thin, I needed to make peace with him.
As I sat at empty room at the precinct waiting to see Gerald, my handles were trembling but I fiddle with it hoping to calm my nerves, just then the large door swung open and Gerald was escorted inside accompanied by a cop, I immediately got on my feet almost stunned at how shabby he looks just between a space of two days.
"Gerald! " I called but he look away from me, his eyes staring blankly at the wall. "What are you doing here Ciara or have you come here to mock me?"
"No please, I just want to talk."
"Talk you say, you helped your boyfriend beat me up, truly Ciara I was so disappointed to see that you will gang up with him to humiliate me."
"That is not what transpired and you know it, you held me captive and you were going to abuse me, Gerald what happened to you, why did you chose to change all of a sudden?"
"Love happened, you Ciara happened to me but in my case, it was a crime to love you which is why I was locked up."
"I can't believe that you are going to keep putting all the blame on me, either way I just wanted to make peace with you, you Gerald have been my friend for as long as I can remember but when it comes to love, I am sorry because that can't work."
He nodded in a spiteful manner, and turned his face the other direction like I was so plaque that he needed to avoid.
"I have asked for your release and it should be today, I hope that you can go somewhere else, start up something with the money that I forwarded to your account, find love and be happy."
"I do not need your money Ciara! I am fine on my own."
"I am aware, but still I feel like I owe you, goodbye Gerald, let's meet under a more beautiful circumstances next time." I concluded and got on my feet.
"Are you getting back with him, Ciara you are going to live with that man and bear kids for him?"
"Unfortunately Yes, I love Ryan and there is nothing that you or anyone will say to change that, take good care of yourself."
With that, I stormed out of there although I knew that he had something else to say but I wasn't interested in listening to it.
I arrived back home and began packing up my things, Ryan and I have finally agreed that we were going on a weekend to a beach house and this time, there was nothing stopping it.
I folded my clothes into thin lines and carefully placed them in the bag, including my underwear and jewelries, not to forget toiletries and make up kits and some other essential materials that I would need at the beach.
Finally, I got dressed in a black plain trouser that tightly hung around my curve figure and a yellow peplum top that went well with it coupled with straps at the hem.
All my bags were inside the car and I drove over to Ryan's, he was having a conversation with his mother, but as soon as I stepped in, they immediately stopped with Herzl running over to me with all excitement like his eyes were going to pop out.
"Mommy! I missed you so much!!"
"I missed you too son" I replied and started placing kisses on his face, cheek and forehead, my excitement knew no bond while Ryan stood there watching at us, his gaze tender on me.
"Tell me herzl, have you got your things ready?"
"Of course mommy, I could not sleep the entire night because I was so excitement so I woke up pretty early and began parking my things, including my toys"
"aww.... I know that there is no way in the world you will forget your favorite toys"
"Yes Mommy, I have waited so much for this day, and I hope that I do not get disappointed again"
"You have nothing to worry about Son, because this time, we definitely have the weekend to ourselves, now run upstairs and start bringing out your luggage"
"Yes mommy!!? " He replied with all his might and scurried upstairs before I finally drifted to Ryan who immediately yank me up to his side that I was so close to him, feeling his intoxicated breath that sends me at the edge.
"Where did you go today, Herzl and I kept waiting for you?"
"I am sorry, but there was something that I needed to sort out, you look good Ryan"
"Same for yourself, and all I feel like doing right now is stripping you off that dress" His eyes were immediately filled with lust as he stare deeply at me, and I melted under his gaze feeling myself get wet below.
He kissed me tenderly and I could not help but grab onto his head, his hands wrapping around me with my tongue finding it way into his mouth, this man was like a drug and I could not get enough of him, but just then, Herzl scurried down the stairs and gave a loud scream.
"Mommy! Daddy!! I am ready to go!!" He yelled out and we both immediately pulled away from each other, adjusting the straps of my dress while pretending like nothing happened.
But Herzl was not interested in whatever we were doing as he kept struggling with his bag that was taller than his height untill Ryan ran over and helped him with it and scurried outside to fix it in the trunk of the car.
