CIARA
When I left Ryan's place the previous day, I was so filled with rage, it was consuming me that I began to choke on it, just when I thought that I could give him a chance again, it all trouble again making me to wonder if there was something so special about Anne that would make him go back to her even after such a harsh betrayal.
I was at home the next day trying to take a nap when I heard two familiar voice yelling at each, I could feel the confrontation in their voice that I thought this was a dream because there was no way two grown up men would engage in a physical combat.
But when I clicked the door open, it was definitely true. Stood right before me was Ryan and Gerald, they both released themselves as soon as I stepped out seeing the anger that spread through my face.
"What is going on here and what does the both of you seemed to be doing?".
"Ciara dear!" Gerald called in a calm tone. "I came over to visit you but met him on the way, you need to have heard the things that he said, it was so disgusting even to the ear."
"And you think that doing this was the best solution here?" I asked and he was silent as my gaze finally fell on Ryan, he had his eyes piercing at me, although they were tender, but I still felt myself melting under his gaze which made me even more furious because despite everything this man has done to me, he still had an effect on me.
"Why are you here Ryan?"
"Ciara I do not know what you think that you witnessed yesterday, but we need to talk because there is no way in this entire world that I am letting someone like Anne back in my life ever again."
"The pictures, what were they?"
"What pictures?"
"It doesn't matter Ryan because you are just going to find a way and deny it and the last thing that I want to do right now is listen to your lies."
"To think that he even went as far as putting a tag on your head, that no matter what happened, you are going to be his wife." Gerald suddenly chipped in, adding more fuel to the fire.
"Will you shut up Gerald and let me have a simple conversation with my wife!!"
"No I won't! Where were you when this wife needed you the most, you ran off with another woman, tell me what cruel man sends his pregnant wife away just to be with a slut, and when everything is ruined, you come back to claim the same company she bought and helped saved, I don't want to say this, but Ryan you are so despicable!!"
"Not that your opinion matters to me but please shut the hell off else I might be forced to threw another punch your way."
"Ryan please leave right away!!" I suddenly spoke, yesterday betrayal stung me so hard, and even through the night, it took the tears and the pills to get me to sleep.
Ryan will always betray me and I think that it is high time I let my stupid self get over him because I can't continue letting my self get hurt over and over again every time.
He seemed stunned when I asked him to leave and drift closer to me, perhaps hoping that his charms would have effect on me again, but I immediately pulled away.
"Ciara please, all this are temptations but whatever they are, we could get through to it, please Just let me in and let us have a talk."
"I said leave my house this minute and don't you dare ever come back around because the last thing that I want to see is your disgusting face!! " I yelled at the top of my voice but he still stood there which made me believe that his legs had refuse to move.
"Gerald, let go inside" I ordered and a smirk appeared on his face. I shut the door behind me as soon as we were both inside, leaving just Ryan outside. I felt sympathy for him at the way that I slammed the door to his face, but he deserved worst because all this man has ever done is cause me pain.
"I am sorry about what you witness outside, I could not just stand still and watch him humiliate you, causing you pain over and over again."
"I am fine Gerald and you do not need to defend me or whatever it was your thought that you were doing out there." I replied and my eyes drifted to his hand, I was only noticing the flowers now and for me, it felt weird.
"Those flowers you are holding, what are those for?"
"For you of course, why would you even ask me that, I came here to cheer you up so it was only proper that I bring some gift while coming"
"And of all gift, what you chose was a flower?" I asked, he opened his mouth to speak but I waved at him dismissively. "Thanks, just find an empty vast and fix it inside."
He nodded, a bright smile still filled his face like he was where he was supposed to be and got everything that he actually needed.
"You must be hungry Ciara, how about I make something for the both of us."
"Thanks Ryan, you are the guest here so it is my job to cook for you and not the other way around, so tell me, what would you like to have?"
"Well, since you insist on doing the kitchen work, then pasta is fine, but you should have let me show you some of my cooking skills."
"Thanks Gerald, but I think that I have seen plenty of your cooking skills and I am totally fine with it all, but I can't assign you in the kitchen."
I suggested and he seemed satisfied with it as we both strode down to the kitchen. He helped me out with the cooking and I caught him from time to time stealing glances at me but waved it away, Gerald is my friend and for me, that is all he is ever going to be.
