When I felt pretty much better, I wiped off my tears before striking back to the office with my head held up high, but the rest of the day at work was not easy for me, there was so much work piled up for me and yet I could not do anything properly, I had cried myself to the extent that my head was spinning hard.
Even when I arrived back home late that night, I had to take quite a lot of pills in other to fall asleep, and when I woke up the day hoping to feel better, I did not, nothing had changed, I was still as miserable as the previous day, but irrespective of it all, I had to push through.
I compelled myself to the bathroom where I stayed in the tub for a while, soaking myself off everything that had happened the previous day and when I finally stepped out, my hair and entire body wet, I felt much more relief.
Glammed up in a red jumpsuit made of silky material that seemed to shimmer in the light, the neckline were high and elegant with a scoop back, it hung around my curve figure properly, I parted my hair after applying some hair product and styled it sideways before applying some make up.
I stood in front of the mirror after spending out all this time getting dressed, a tight-lipped smile on my face, satisfied with the desired result that I got.
I felt good finally dressing up after a while now, perhaps knowing the truth that this man had cared and loved me in the past gave me some kind of relief and was ready to see my son who I have missed so much today.
I hopped into my car and drove offto Ryan's home, I clicked on the door bell before stepping in and right there was my little prince.
"Oh! My sweet boy, I have missed you so much!" I called out and tried to tuck him into an embrace, but he drifted away, taking a few inches back. Myjaws almost dropped as I was stunned that my boy would behave in such a mannertowards me in just a few days that he left.
"Herzl darling what is going on, won't you hug mommy?"
"I can't, my daddy loves you so much, but why do you hate him, mommy why, daddy has been so good to you and yet you hate him" The tears rolled down his innocent face, my mouth were wide open while looking for the right words to console him with.
I drifted my eyes away to the door and noticed Ryan standing there with his hands clasped together, my teeth immediately gritted, I stood up with the feeling of wanting to devourthis man who dared sway my son away from me.
"Ryan how could you! How could you sway my son away from me because of your petty revenge"
"Ciara Calm down..."
"Calm down you say, I can't believe that I was once in love with a monster like you, but watch and see, even if it takes all the strains of hair in my head, I will make sure that herzl gets to see what a demon that you are!!" I exclaimed and stormed out of there, my eyes filled with tears.
I had been so careless about everything that even my son now hates me, the regret was burning inside of me, earlier today I thought that I finally got hold of things in my life and just like that I realize that my own son hates me too now.
RYAN
When I arrived at the living room and saw Ciara standing there dressed in an elegant jumpsuit, I felt a tickle in my heart and all l wanted to do at that moment was go over to her and kiss her passionately.
She was close to me and yet so far away, but I was going to tell her how good she looked until I heard her conversation with our son and that broke my heart. I squatted to his level as soon as she left, and parted his head before speaking.
"Hey Son, Why did you speak to your mother in such a manner"
"Because you have been trying to make her happy, and yet she hates you" "Not at all, mommy does not hate me, she is just angry, so don't you ever speak to your mother in such a manner, because she has sacrificed so much foryou, and it is going to break her heart to see that you hate her"
"I am sorry Daddy" He grunted with a pouty mouth
"Good, so don't you ever speak to your mother like that and when next you see, you apologize to her and be polite, is that understood?"
"Yes Daddy!".
"I trust you, you are a good kid and your mommy raised you well, what do you say that we go to pleasure park?"
"Yeah!!" He screamed out with his eyes beaming with so much excitement as he hugged me tightly.
"Now, come on, you need to get dressed and look more cool than the other kids". I hauled him up to my shoulder and carried him up the stairs to his room.
I dressed him up in his favorite jeans and white shirt while I also dressed up casually in a plain t-shirt and black trousers, my hair was neatly styled and we both left the house.
When we arrived there, Herzl's eyes widened in excitement. There was so much to do out here, ranging from rides like merry-go-round, roller coaster, fun games like the carnival game.
"Wow! Daddy, this place is so beautiful!!" He exclaimed with his chin slightly raised up.
"I know son, you have been through a lot and I needed something to cheeryou up"
Herzl could no longer contain his excitement and he turned to me and asked. "Daddy can I go and ride the roller coaster?"
"Of course Son, isn't that why you are here"
"Yeah!! " He screamed out with so much excitement and ran towards the ride.
