Planning a wedding wasn't as easy as it seemed, There was so much to do, first Mrs. Smith and I met with the wedding planner who presented us with various catalogs of venue available.
We all sat at Ryan's living room with the wedding planner when Ryan who had been handling things at the office stepped in. He walks straight to me and place a kiss on my lips before turning over to the women seated on the couch.
"Hi mom, I see that we have a guest?"
"Yes Son, this is Ms. Lisa the wedding planner that I spoke of, she is a professional in the field and is bond to handle the wedding professionally."
"Welcome Ms. Lisa, it is good to have you here."
"Thank you Sir and I promise to deliver nothing but the best." Ryan nodded and took the empty space close to me, his arm immediately wrapped through my shoulder and his gaze fell at the catalog that I was holding.
"Is this the venue that you decided on?" Ryan asked pointing at the open page of the catalog.
"Yeah, Mom likes this venue, but I was also thinking about a beach side, it is going to be lovely especially for the pictures, what do you think?"
"I think it is beautiful, Mom we will have to go with the beach side since that is what Ciara wants, it is her day and I should be able to give her nothing but the best."
Mrs Smith sigh once more as she glance at the venue on her catalog. "Alright, let go with the beach side."
"Perfect! Then for the flowers and cake, there are also a few samples that you all can pick from the catalog, so what do you think about the cup cake tower, most of the brides that I have worked with love it?"
Ms. Lisa inquired with her eyes scanning from one person to another. I stare at the design of the cupcake tower, it was beautiful with white icing forming velvet around it, but I wanted mine to be unique, but more than that, I needed Ryan to be comfortable with the decisions that I make.
"Ryan what do you think?" I asked seeing that his eyes were also piercing for a reply from me.
"I do not know much about cake, as long as, if it's delicious enough for the guest to enjoy, I am fine with it."
"Oh Son! You are so boring, are you saying that Ciara should take just any edible designs?"
"No Mom, I am saying that you ladies knows best, so make a decision."
"Ciara dear, what about the donut walls, it is lovely, and I believe you like them unique."
"Yes Mother, the donut walls is beautiful and I think that we should go with it, but Ms. Lisa I was hoping that you will be able to add a unique type of designs with the icing, especially heart shaped since this marriage was built on love."
"That won't be a problem and I think that for the Cake aspect is settled, I love this bride because she definitely knows what she wants." Ms. Lisa complimented.
"Thanks ma'am. And for the flowers, can we just go with exotic orchids and peonies, but mostly with rose and a touch of red and white." I explained and Ms.Lisa was almost stunned by my knowledge for this things.
"Wow! Our bride is so knowledgeable, were you a wedding planner in your previous life?" She teased and we all giggles, finally the mood was lightened.
"Can we talk about wedding gown right now, because that is the part that I am more interested in?" Ryan muttered, Ms. Lisa brought out another set of catalog for wedding gown and handed out to us.
"You can pick out a wedding gown now, then Ciara can come in tomorrow at the bridal shop for fitting."
"Alright" Ryan replied and began to flip through the pages until his eyes caught a particular wedding gown and he stopped right there. It was a handles strap and it entire body made with beads and careful dotted lines, it tulle spread massively that the bride on the catalog was looking so elegant and Ryan could not take his eyes off it.
I trailed his gaze down to the picture, there was so much attention and interest in the wedding gown while he stared at it.
"Is this the one you want?" I finally asked seeing how engrossed he was.
"What do you think about it, it is lovely right?"
"Yeah! I think we should go with it since you love it that much."
"Great! Looks like everything is almost finalized, you should come in tomorrow for the fitting, Mr. Ryan I think that your suit will also be ready then you guys can take some good pictures."
"Thank you ma'am"
"And for the designs that will be used on the venue, it should be available by tomorrow, so I think that we can discuss more details at the shop tomorrow."
"Alright Ms. Lisa, thank you so much for your time, we can't wait to be fully married."
"Yeah I know, I see the way you can't take your eyes off her, she is a nice woman and will definitely make a pretty bride."
"Yeah I known and once again, thank you for taking out time to be here today and doing this, it means a lot to us." She nodded her head in response while we watched her pick up her bag that have been sitting on the couch for a while now and strode out of the house.
"That was lovely, where is Herzl?" Ryan finally asked after she was gone.
"He is upstairs playing with his toys, go freshen up while I set up the table."
He compiled and strides upstairs.
