"Hey, what are you still doing there?" She called her driver, who was still hiding, and they helped Sylvester into the car. Anabel got in, and her driver drove them quickly to the nearest hospital. Once they arrived, Sylvester was taken to the emergency room, where a doctor examined his injuries. The cuts and bruises were minor, but the doctor insisted on cleaning and dressing them to prevent infection.
Anabel was sitting beside Sylvester, holding his hands, while he was receiving treatment. She couldn't believe the bravery and selflessness he had shown in rescuing her. It went a long way in reinforcing her belief that Sylvester was someone she could trust and rely on.
When the doctor was done, Sylvester was given some painkillers for his aches.
"You are my hero, Sylvester. I love you so much." She said in the car as they drove to Sylvester's apartment.
When they got to his apartment, Anabel helped him inside and made sure he was comfortable.
"Do you have any food, or should I cook for you?" Anabel asked.
"Don't worry. I have enough food." Sylvester replied.
"Alright. You should rest. I will check on you tomorrow." She said and gave him a peck.
Sylvester nodded. "Thank you, baby. I'm just glad I was there to help."
When Anabel left, Sylvester lay back on his couch with smiles on his face. It was all a planned stunt, and it worked.

(Flash back. The previous day.)

Sylvester was pacing back and forth in his living room. His mind was racing, thinking of possible ways he could make Anabel fall for him completely so their plan could work without any problem. Three million dollars was never a small amount of money.
Suddenly, an idea struck his mind. Ladies always trust guys who saved them from harm. But how could he make that happen?
"What if I stage a kidnap and act as her superhero?" He asked himself. "But what if something goes wrong? She's a pregnant lady." He continued to think about it until he made up his mind.
He picked up his phone and began to call his friends, a group of stuntmen who he knew would be perfect for the job.
Soon, they began to show up one after the other. In less than 20 minutes, the room was filled with his five friends.
"Alright, everyone. Sorry for the urgent call, and thank you guys for showing up," Sylvester said, clapping his hands to get their attention. "So, I called all of you to help me do a quick job. A job I know you guys are capable of." He said, and his friends exchanged curious glances. They were intrigued but unsure of what Sylvester had in mind.
"What kind of work are we talking about here?" One of his friends asked.
"It's not dirty work. It's a very clean job. I want you guys to stage a kidnap. Her name is Anabel. You guys will act as if you guys are kidnappers. Then I would come and save her. That is all I want."
"I don't understand. What will now happen?" The youngest among all was asked.
"It's just a trick to make her trust and love me completely. She's my girlfriend, but I want her to fall for me completely, and I think doing this will have the work done."
"So you think this is going to work?" One of them asnwered.
"Why won't it work? You guys will make it look real, but make sure she doesn't get hurt. Before I forget, she is pregnant. So don't hurt or stress her. I will swoop into the scene and pretend to rescue her. She will see me as her protector."
"This sounds like a joke to me. This is real life and not a movie. Pulling this kind of stunt won't change anything. This is crazy." Daniel. The eldest among the friends, said.
"I know it sounds crazy," Sylvester admitted, "but think about it. It would be a way of proving to her how deep I loved her. You guys have the skills to pull this off. You know how to make things look real without any trace."
One of his friends, Marcus, spoke up first. "Sylvester, man, I get what you are trying to do, but this is risky. What if something goes wrong? What if she gets hurt?"
Sylvester nodded, understanding his concerns. "I thought about that too. That's why you guys need to be careful and make sure nothing goes wrong."
"I see where you are coming from, Sylvester. And I think we can pull it off. But we need to be extra careful. One wrong move, and this could backfire." Marcus added, and Sylvester smiled, relieved that they were starting to come around.
"Exactly. That was why I called you guys." Sylvester replied.
"Are we going to wear masks?" The youngest among the friends asked.
"Yes, all of you will wear masks. She shouldn't identify any of you." Sylvester replied.
"Understood. What's the timeline?" Marcus asked.
"Tomorrow evening." Sylvester replied. "She has an appointment with her doctor tomorrow evening and will be returning home by 6pm. You guys will intercept her car on the secluded road leading to Orton's mansion. I will show up and pretend to rescue her."
"Got it," Marcus said. "We will make sure everything goes smoothly."
Once they were done with the meeting, Sylvester escorted them out and smiled to himself, believing that his plans would work.
And now, it has worked perfectly. Despite the injuries he sustained, he was happy that everything fell into place.
Now, he was going to wait for a few days before launching the main plan.
