She entered her car and drove off. In less than ten minutes, she was already in front of the civil affairs building. She got out of her car and made her way into the building. Her steps were light and confident as she made her way to the civil affairs office. Every step brought her closer to the life of luxury and ease she had always dreamed of.
She got inside and found Desmond waiting for her as he had said. Together, they got inside the office and handed the medical test result to the officer.
The officer went through it and nodded. "The medical result is okay. It's time to sign the remaining paperwork." The officer said and slid out some papers. "Sign on the papers and we will be done."
Daniella hesitantly took the paper and began to sign on it. She was happy and signing as if she was signing a multimillion-dollar deal. And yes, all of Desmond's properties are worth more than a billion dollars.
"Finally, I've won." She said within herself after signing the last paper. Desmond took the papers and signed his own part.
His face was neutral, neither smiling nor feeling sad. His mind was still on Anabel, hoping she had read the message and understood what he said.
Once they were done, the officer took the papers and stamped on it, then handed it over to Desmond.
"Now that we are done with signing, I'm going to give you guys the marriage certificate. It will be signed on your wedding day to seal your marriage." The officer said.
"Thank you, sir." Daniella said and collected it from the officer.
"Thank you so much, sir." Desmond shook hands with the officer. "We will be on our way. Thank you."
He took Daniella's hand, and they left the officer. Daniella was so happy that she couldn't wait to inform Leonard.

As soon as they stepped inside, Desmond crashed on the couch in the sitting room, while Daniella went straight to the room.
Immediately after she entered the bathroom, she dialed Leonard's number. She could barely contain her excitement. The phone rang a few times before Leonard's voice came through.
"Hey, Daniella! I've been expecting your call." He asked eagerly.
"We did it, Leonard," Daniella whispered. "I have the marriage certificate right here. It's going to be official tomorrow!"
Leonard smiled with delight. "That's fantastic news, Daniella! We are one step closer to our goal."
"Yes, baby, I can’t believe it’s finally happening. Soon, we will be living the life we have always dreamed of."
"I know you will succeed. Desmond never saw it coming."
Daniella glanced at the closed bedroom door and lowered her voice further. "He’s completely clueless. He actually believes I’m in love with him. Poor Desmond. He's going to lose a lot of things soon."
Leonard chuckled. "Just imagine his face when you serve him a divorce paper and how he will feel when he realizes that he's not even responsible for your pregnancy. But by then, it will be too late. We will have what we need, and he won't be able to do anything about it." Leonard said, and Daniella's smile widened. "Exactly. I can't wait for us to celebrate properly once everything is finalized."
As they continued their conversation, Daniella heard footsteps approaching the bedroom and quickly ended the call. Desmond entered the room with a curious look on his face.
"Hey, Daniella. Who were you talking to?" he asked, looking at her eyes suspiciously.
"Oh, that was my friend, Melissa." Daniella answered. "I was just informing her about our wedding."
