Samantha nodded. "I see. But why did you want to divorce him?"
"I want half of his properties. Yeah, that's the reason." Daniella bluntly replied.
"It's like you never loved him?"
"Yeah, never. I wedded him to divorce him." Daniella replied.
"I can see you are pregnant. Is he the father?" Samantha asked
"He's not. The father is waiting for me to divorce him." Daniella replied, and Samantha chuckled and shook her head.
"Is this a kind of revenge plot or what?"
"I just needed his money. That's all." Daniella replied. "He didn't do anything to me."
"Wow, what a move. But this is too sudden and somehow ruthless to a point, if I must say. It will be obvious to everyone that you divorced him because of what you will get from him and that you never loved him.
"I don't care what people say. It doesn't matter. What matters is the share I'm going to get." Daniella answered.
"Alright. It's important to move quickly in situations like this. I’ll make sure we handle everything meticulously. Let's start by going over the details."
As they began to discuss the terms, Samantha looked up at Daniella and asked, "Did you sign a prenuptial agreement before the wedding?"
Daniella shook her head with a sly smile playing on her lips. "No, Desmond never asked for one. He was too blinded by love to think about it." Daniella answered, and Samantha raised an eyebrow. "That's quite fortunate for you, Daniella. You are so lucky. Without a prenup, you will have a much stronger hand for claiming a significant portion of his assets."
"Exactly." Daniella replied confidently. "That's why I need your help to ensure everything is done correctly." She added, and Samantha smiled. "You can count on me. I will make sure you get what you deserve. Now, let's go through Desmond's assets and your entitlements. First, you will give me evidence of your marriage and any assets you know that Desmond acquired. This will ensure you receive a fair settlement."
"I have all his documents. Desmond has several properties, a couple of successful companies, and various investments. I want to make sure I get my fair share." She gave her the documents so she would go through it.
"You are smart, and you are in good hands. I will make sure you get everything you are entitled to. Now, let's go over the paperwork and ensure everything is in order."
They spent the next hour meticulously reviewing the documents, ensuring that all the necessary information was included. Samantha guided Daniella through each section, explaining the legal jargon and making sure she understood everything.
As they got to the end of the paperwork, Samantha looked up and smiled. "Everything looks good, Daniella. I will file this paper now, and the divorce paper will be given to you." Samantha said, and Daniella felt so happy. It was easier than she had thought.
"Thank you, Samantha. I couldn't have done this without you."
"You're welcome, Daniella. I'm here to support you every step of the way. I just hope you settled me well."
"I will, Samantha. I'm going to settle you big once everything is done. You have my word."
Samantha made a call, and a young lady came and took the papers and documents for processing.
While they talked, the lady came back with the documents and a divorce paper. Everything had been completed already.
With the paperwork completed, Daniella felt like she was on top of the world. Samantha meticulously went through the paperwork, ensuring that everything was in order.
"You will sign here, and he will sign her. If he refuses to sign, you sue him in court. Don't forget I'm here to represent you. I will make sure he signs it."
Daniella signed the divorce paper right there with a satisfied grin. She was feeling as if she were sealing a multimillion-dollar deal.
"Thank you very much." Daniella said after signing. She then took out some notes in her bag. "This is three thousand dollars. Once everything is done, you will be settled abundantly."
Samantha took the money and smiled. "I'm always here for you."
Daniella left the office and entered her car to get back home. She couldn't wait to surprise Desmond with the divorce paper.
