Pregnant Billionaire Heiress Gave Birth To Twins

His regrets

Ch. 141 / 286 Apr 29, 2026

"And what made you think you were going to win me in court?" Desmond asked. "Wait..... You really believe that our marriage would automatically grant you a 50/50 split of my assets in a divorce? That I would simply roll over and hand you half of everything I've worked for, everything I've sacrificed for, everything I've built from the ground up? You see, your audacity is so staggering, and your sense of entitlement is so appalling. You think our marriage is some kind of guarantee, some kind of golden ticket to my wealth and success. Well, let me disabuse you of that notion. I've worked too hard, come too far, to let you simply waltz in here and take half of everything I own. You will have to do better than this, Daniella."

"You are utterly delusional, Desmond. You got no chance here. As your lawfully wedded wife, I'm entitled to half of everything you own - every asset, every property, every last penny. And there's nothing, absolutely nothing, you can do to turn it upside down. You are just making noise. Your pathetic ranting and whining arguments won't change the fact that you are about to lose half of everything that matters to you. The law is on my side. Everything you have worked for will be mine, too. Your pride, your ego, your very sense of self-worth... all of it will be crushed beneath my heel. So, go ahead and keep dreaming. Keep thinking you have a chance. Though I will advise you to accept your fate now and sign this papers. Surrender now and save yourself the humiliation of a lengthy, costly, and ultimately futile battle. Because in the end, I will win. Nothing will save you, not even your money."

"As you can see, I'm not scared. You are not a threat to me, and you will never be. In the end, you will get nothing."

"Like I've said, you got no chance in this case. Being a high-profile personality doesn't matter here. It's the law, and you can't go against the law. I have the best lawyer in the city, who will help me get what I'm entitled to."

"Getting the best lawyer won't change anything. This time, you are failing. I assure you, you will regret ever doing this. Now get out of my house," Desmond ordered.

"I will leave, and guess what? I will come back as the owner of this house. If I can make you divorce your pregnant wife and cut ties with your family. Getting your nonliving possessions from you should be laughably easy." Daniella smiled again, and turned to leave and Desmond words stopped her

"Did you just say my pregnant wife?" He asked and Daniella twirled her head to his direction. "Sorry, I mean your pregnant ex-wife. I'm telling you now because I'm sure you won't get her back. Not when you will die depressed." She smirked and walked away, leaving Desmond feeling totally stunned and broken.

As he watched her go, Desmond couldn't help but wonder how he had been so blind. How had he not seen the truth about Daniella? How had he not realized that she was using him all along?

His legs went soft, and he crashed down on the couch behind, unsure of what just happened and what Daniella just confessed. His mind flashed back to when Anabel tried to show him her pregnancy result paper, and Daniella took it, called it fake, and tore it into pieces.

"Does it mean Anabel was telling the truth? Wait ... I'm responsible for her pregnancy?"

He blamed himself as well for not believing her even without the test results.

Desmond felt as if he just lost everything. What hurt him most was that he was taking care of another man's woman and her unborn baby while he chased and divorced the woman who was carrying his own child, his own blood.

He closed his eyes and rubbed his palm over his face, wishing to wake up from the nightmare. He divorced the woman who loved him and kicked his family out of his house. All for the sake of a manipulative woman whose sole intention was to bleed him dry, to take everything he had worked so hard to acquire. The thought was a bitter pill to swallow, a harsh reminder of his own gullibility and weakness.
