The drive to the hospital was short, but to Daniella, it felt like eternity. She was eager to get the medical tests over with and move on to the final preparations for the wedding. Desmond, as usual, remained calm and focused on getting everything done efficiently.
They arrived at the hospital and parked the car in the parking lot. Desmond opened the door for Daniella, and they walked together towards the entrance. It was a private hospital and the best in the city. Only the rich families could afford the hospital.
They got to the reception desk, where a nurse attended to them. "Good afternoon. How can I help you two today?" She had a warm smile across her face.
"Our wedding is coming soon. We are here for a premarital medical test," Desmond answered.
"Alright, sir, Please have a seat in the waiting area. The doctor will call you shortly."
They went and took a seat at the waiting area. Only a very few people were sitting there. After a few minutes, a door opened, and a doctor stepped out. He was a middle-aged man with a reassuring demeanor.
"Mr. Desmond and Ms. Daniella?" He called and they stood up and walked towards him. "Yes, that's us," Desmond answered.
"Please follow me." The doctor said and lead them into an examination room. The room was brightly lit and filled with medical equipment. The doctor gestured for them to sit down.
"Good afternoon," he began with greetings. "I'm Dr. Rick, and I will be conducting your medical tests today. It's a standard procedure to ensure that both of you are in good health before your marriage.
"So, I will be conducting a series of tests, including blood work, a physical examination, and a few other assessments." Dr. Rick said and began by asking them a series of questions about their medical history, any previous illnesses, and any medications they were currently taking.
They answered the questions and provided the necessary information.
"Now, let's start with the blood work." The doctor said and called in a nurse who would get blood samples from both of them. Daniella winced slightly as the needle pricked her skin, but Desmond barely flinched.
After that, the doctor examined their vital signs, checked their blood pressure, and conducted other routine checks. The whole process took about an hour, but finally, it was over.
"Everything looks good so far, but we will need to wait for the results of the blood tests and a few other assessments. Please come back on Friday to collect your results."
"Thank you, doctor," Desmond said and shook his hand. Daniella forced a smile. "Yes, thank you."
When they left the examination room and was heading back to the car, Daniella couldn't help but felt super excited. Another step was complete, and she was one step closer to her goal. She glanced at Desmond, who seemed content with how everything was going and leered at him.
They got back into the car, and Desmond started the engine. Daniella's mind was already racing with plans for the upcoming week, but for now, she needed to relax herself and wait. The wedding was not up to a week away. So very soon, she would have everything she had been dreaming of.

Anabel was on her way home from the hospital when a group of masked armed men, dressed in black suddenly blocked the road with their car, forcing her driver to slam on the brakes. The car screeched to a halt, and Anabel's heart raced when she realized what was happening.
The men, five in total, got out of their car and rushed towards her car. Anabel's driver was frozen with fear.
One of the guys rushed to the diver's side and dragged him out. They were with weapons and appeared to kill. He was unable to do anything at that moment. He have never been in that kind of situation before. The leader of the group pulled the back door open and grabbed Anabel, pulling her out of the car.
"Stop! I'm pregnant! Do you know who I am?"
"I know who you are, and that is why you are coming with us." The leader snarled and continued to drag her out. Her driver had been surrendered already. They didn't have the chance to make any calls.
Just as the leader was about to push Anabel into their car, a cold familiar voice was heard from the back.
