"Wait... you are dating someone before we know each other?" Desmond asked.
"Exactly, I was in a serious relationship before your mom told me about you. She told me to leave my boyfriend and marry you, and I accepted. I planned this with my boyfriend, and I'm going back to him with half of your property."
"This is wickedness to the highest."
"You called it wickedness, but I called it a game. It's an opportunity for me, and I couldn't afford to misuse it. I always wanted to live a luxury life with my boyfriend, and I saw you as a ticket. I never left my boyfriend a bit. I've been seeing him all this while. And guess what we do? We talk about how foolish you are, and have lots of sex. I made you chase your mother and sister so I would have some space to do whatever I like whenever you are not around." Daniella said, and Desmond couldn't say anything. He didn't believe he could be that foolish to stand for her and kick his family away.
"Do you remember the time you went on a business trip? I was never alone. I invited my boyfriend, and we were staying here together. He ate your food, drank your favorite wine, and fucked me on your bed." Daniella said, and Desmond couldn't take it anymore.
"You are evil." His anger got to the level he couldn't control, and he grabbed her neck with both hands. "How dare you do such a thing!" He tightened his grip around her neck so that Daniella was finding it difficult to breathe. "I choose you over everything, and you did all these things to me!"
"Leave me alone, you bastard!" Daniella snarled, her voice constricted by the pressure of Desmond's fingers around her neck. But as her words hung in the air, Desmond's grip abruptly relaxed, and he released his hold on her throat. His decision to let go wasn't prompted by her venomous insult, but by the alarming realization that his rage was on the cusp of boiling over into something irreparable – and potentially deadly.
Daniella's chest heaved as she coughed twice. She took a deep, shuddering breath. Her lungs were burning as she struggled to fill them with air. Her eyes never left Desmond's face, a mixture of fear and defiance flashing in their depths as she slowly regained her composure.
"I was afraid you would be smart enough, but fortunately for me, you are just like all the other men I've used in one way or another and discarded over the years."
Desmond's heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces. He couldn't believe that he had married this woman. "I always suspected this, but I didn't take it seriously because of your pregnancy. How could you do this to me?"
Daniella rolled her eyes. "Oh, spare me the drama, darling. You're not the first man I've hurt, and you won't be the last. Now, are you going to sign these divorce papers or continue to rant?" She asked, and Desmond's anger surged back to the surface, and he threw the papers at her. "I will never sign these. You are not taking any of my property. I'm taking back everything I've bought for you." He snatched the phone from her. "I bought this phone for you."
"I will allow you to leave with those clothes on. Now get the hell out of my house."
Daniella went to take the car key, and Desmond pushed her away and took the car key. "I said you are not taking anything."
"But that's my car. You bought it in my name. I'm the owner. I don't need to ask you for it."
"I'm not giving it to you, and you cannot do anything about it. Now leave when you still have your clothes on. Unless you want to will leave naked and barefoot." Desmond said and Daniella let out a cold, calculating smile.
"You can keep all of it. Besides, It makes no difference since I'm going to get it back after the court grants me my rightful share."
