Seraphina knew it was him because his mere presence was enough to shudder her soul. His strong manly cologne filled her nostrils, making it evident for her that it was him.
Her smile fell from her face. She stopped moving her paintbrush and didn't take her head upward to look at him but then felt him to sit beside her. She still didn't toss her head around to look at him, until
"Continue your painting," He uttered, calmly while gazing at her half coloured painting. She was painting the horizon and he was impressed with her painting because he himself liked to paint a lot.
Seraphina didn't follow his words. She didn't make any effort to complete her drawing or to look at him, which made him sigh.
"Give this to me. I'll help you," He said and took her painting and the paintbrush from her and started filling colours in it. She didn't stop him.
Seraphina tossed her head a bit and saw him completing her painting. He was doing the work perfectly, like he had mastered it.
The sun completely set and the darkness of the evening engulfed the sky but they both remained sitting on the grass. He continued filling the colours and she just gazed at him. They both remained silent, until
"It's done," He uttered, extending the painting to her.
Seraphina was able to watch it in the darkness because the entire area was illuminated with bright garden lanterns. She gazed at him, who was smiling at her a bit.
"How's it?" He asked and she could clearly see the excitement in his eyes of knowing her answer.
Seraphina took her eyes down and looked at the painting. It was beyond beautiful. She did start making an ordinary painting but he had finished it, making a masterpiece.
Her azure keenly gazed at that painting which he had coloured alluringly. Seraphina took her eyes up and again looked into his curious grey eyes which were desperately waiting for her answer but her answer made him startled.
Seraphina grabbed the colour box and poured all the liquid colours on the painting, making it completely ruined.
His gaze bewildered at her action. Seraphina threw the colour box and peered at him through her angry teary eyes.
"And that's how much you have ruined my colourful life, Mr Grayson," She snapped, turning his grey orbs malicious.
A tear slipped down from her eyes, which she wiped and then got up on her feet. Seraphina glanced at him, who was still kneeling before her but that time, Seraphina noticed something else in his gaze other than just anger but her own pain was too much for her to understand his emotions.
Seraphina turned around and stormed back inside the mansion.
His gaze watched her disappearing figure and finally he trailed it down to look at that ruined painting. He grabbed the painting and then clutched it in his palms, making his own palm to get stained with those colours which she had used to ruin it.
Seraphina endured that night, just by crying and hugging her teddy bear because she knew he had hurted him but that was nothing as compared to what he had done to her, yet her heart was aching when she noticed how his smile vanished and the contentment in his eyes disappeared when she destroyed that painting.
Why was it hurting her, knowing she had hurted him? Next day, he dropped her to school and picked her up as usual but none of them shared a single word or single glance. Seraphina noticed he was behaving more colder and firmer than before.
"So how's your day, Seraphina dear?"
Seraphina, who was sitting on the bed of Mrs Grayson's room, smiled, hearing her, who was sitting beside her. Rebecca had just come back from her business trip and Seraphina got to know Rebecca helped her son in his business.
"It was good, Mrs Grayson," She answered, politely.
Rebecca smiled and patted her head.
"I hope my strict son didn't trouble you much in my absence," Rebecca chuckled and Seraphina gulped. Only if she knew what his son had really done and what exactly she had done with him.
Rebecca's phone started ringing, which gained Seraphina's attention.
"Okay. I will send that file to your study room," Rebecca hung up the call.
"Well my son can't stop working even in his home, at night time. He needs a file now," Rebecca laughed and Seraphina just weekly smiled.
Rebecca took out the file from the drawer.
"Ok, I have to take it to his study room. I'll be back soon,"
"I am also going to sleep. I will accompany you," Seraphina got up from the bed.
Rebecca smiled and nodded and they both left the room.
They both were walking while talking.
"Okay, goodnight, Seraphina." Rebecca said, standing on the staircase where his study room was.
"Goodnight, Mrs Grayson," Seraphina smiled and was about to walk towards her room's direction but stopped when again Rebecca's phone started ringing.
"Hello!"
"Yes, but I have to check it. Okay let me check it first then I'll send it to you. Yeah! Just give me a minute," Rebecca took her phone away and looked at Seraphina.
"Seraphina, can you please give this file to Arzal. He's in his study room and I need to check urgent work, dear?"
Seraphina turned frozen, hearing her.
"Yeah, I am sending it, wait. Seraphina, dear can you please?"
Seraphina sighed at Rebecca's request and nodded reluctantly. She couldn't deny her request.
"Thank you," Rebecca uttered and handed the file to her and left.
Seraphina glanced at that file and then those staircases which were heading towards that devil, whom she was ignoring. She gulped and then started climbing those stairs.
Her throat turned dry. She was standing before his study room's door, which was opened wide. Her hands were sweating in fear and her heartbeat accelerated when her eyes fell on him, who was talking on his phone. His back was facing her.
With a heavy exhale, she lifted her hand to knock on the door but got halted at his words.
"Remove all the traces. Make sure everyone even forgets about the existence of that f#cker Benjamin," He growled on his phone.
"Burned that bast#rd's body into ashes," He spat and hung up his phone and shoved it back in his pocket.
He turned around and immediately his gaze fell on her, who was standing at his door with tears streaming down from her azure eyes.
The hatred, anger, pain were evident in her teary eyes for him, which made him to fist his palms.
Seraphina shut her eyes to calm that storm of emotions inside her. She opened her wet lashes.
"Mrs Grayson told me to give this f... file to you," Her words started quivering because her throat formed a painful lump, as she was trying to hold back her tears.
Not a single word came out from his sealed lips, who just constantly gazed at her through his steel hard eyes, without blinking.
Seraphina swallowed at his silence and stepped inside the room. She walked towards the study table where he was also present.
She tried to maintain the distance between them as much as possible and placed the file on her table with her quivering hands.
Seraphina turned on her heels to leave that place as fast as possible. She had just taken a couple of steps when she felt herself getting pulled back by her arm and shoved against that table, making her yelp.
His grey orbs were boring daggers into her soul. His palms were clutching her arms vigorously.
"So you're still crying and mourning over that bast#rd's death," He spat, venomously.
"That f#cker who was going to... "
"Please don't," She stopped him with her shivering broken voice. Tears dropped from her eyes aggressively.
"Y.. You have already taken his life but at least don't put these wicked allegations on his name. I.. I am begging you," She pleaded to him.
Her pleading for him made him ruthless. He yanked her on his hardened chest.
"So you're still considering him innocent? You're still trusting that motherf#cker over me?"
Her jaw tightened at his choice of words for her dead friend.
"Yes, I am because I know Benjamin could have never even thought about hurting me, let alone harming me because the only person who has hurted me and wants to hurt and harm me is you and only you," She bursted on to him.
Arzal gritted his teeth. Her words had woken the beast inside him. He leaned his face down and gawked into her glossy eyes.
"I have hurted you? You think I want to harm you, right?" He groaned in his raspy voice and got closer to her face.
"Now I will make you feel what actual pain feels like, Seraphina," He whispered, making a shiver run down her spine.
She tossed her head, only to meet with his barbaric gaze where ruthless cruelty of insanity was playing. His lips brushed against her.
"You have called me a monster, right? Now I will tell how much of a monster I am and... " He twisted her wrist behind her and pressed her body against his.
"Why every f#cking person feels terrified just by hearing this monster's name,?"
Seraphina turned speechless, both in terror and panic. She hissed badly when he again twisted her wrists. Her back arched. Her lips pressed against his.
He sucked on her soft petals, abruptly, making her clench her palms. He lifted his head a bit and peered in her eyes.
"You have felt the softness of Arzal's need, now you will endure the pain of his obsession, Seraphina Miller," Their breathings collided, along with their gazes.
"The pain which is going to break your soul and your heart, Princess," He declared and then shoved her away with a little force.
She stumbled a bit and then witnessed him glaring at her one last time and then dashed out of the door and she completely understood, now this was the beginning of the worst for her.
