Colton made good use of his time during his ride to the McGregor's mansion. He connected his phone to the speaker in the car and made some important phone calls as he drove. In less than twenty minutes, he arrived at Natasha's parents' home.
Coming down from the car, he came face to face with the butler who greeted him.
"Hi. Is Natasha at home?" He asked the man in his early forties.
"Yes Sir!"
"What about Uncle Troy and Aunt Mary?" He asked after Natasha's parents. There was no better way of putting Natty in her place than doing it in front of her parents.
"Master is in the study room. Mrs. McGregor should be somewhere in the house." The butler responded.
"Okay. I'll be with Uncle Troy in the study. Please let Natasha know I'm waiting for her there."
"Okay, sir." While the butler went to get Natasha, Colton went straight to her Father's home office.
He knew his way around the McGregor's mansion. He and Natasha grew up together so they spent time in each other's houses.
Colton helped himself in after he was told to on the other end.
"Colt, what a pleasant surprise!" Troy McGregor rose to his feet the moment he saw Colton come in. He was seated behind the desk doing some office work.
"Good morning, uncle." He went over and hugged the old man. Troy was the same age as Colton's father, Derik and they've been friends since forever. He respected Troy very much and the same goes for Troy who admires Colt so much.
"Take a seat" Troy gestured to the chair opposite him. "What do you care for? I'll have someone bring it for you."
"I'm fine, Uncle. I won't be staying long anyway." He said as he took his seat.
Troy nodded, taking his seat. "So son, what brings you here? Congratulations, by the way, your parents told us about your fiancee and the baby. It's a pity though. Words cannot describe how much I would have loved it if you were my son-in-law. It's really hard to find someone like you. At least, I would have been rest assured that Natasha is in safe hands."
"But it's okay. I wouldn't want you all to end in a loveless marriage either. So I'm glad you found your soulmate."
"Thanks, Uncle. And Thank you for respecting my life choices."
"Of course, Son. There's nothing more important in this world than the happiness of our children. It makes us really fulfilled and I have no doubt that you're going to be a good father."
Colton nodded. He was about to state the reason why he was here but they were interrupted by someone who walked in. It turned out to be Natasha who had a bright smile on her face. As always, she was looking flashy in her 2 piece outfit and her neatly styled curly hair.
"Hi, Colt. Herald said you were looking for me." One could hear the excitement in her voice. She almost couldn't believe it when the butler told her that Colt was here to see her.
"Yes, I was." Colton rose to his feet, ready to challenge her.
"What gives you the right to approach my woman? Not only did you threaten her, but you also said nasty things to her. How dare you?"
The smile on Natty's face slowly faded away. She never thought that Mia was going to have the guts to report her to Colton.
"What do you mean?" She whispered.
"Oh please, stop pretending that you don't know what I'm talking about. What the hell is wrong with you?" Colt said, trying to control his temper.
"So you will just believe anything that that bitch says to you? She disrespected me for crying out loud."
"If you call her that nasty name once more, I promise you that I won't regret what I'm going to do to you."
"Please calm down Colton. Natasha, what the hell did you do?" Troy said with a heavy heart. He wasn't happy with what he was witnessing.
"Please stay out of this, uncle. The only reason I wanted this confrontation to happen before you is so that you would see the type of person your daughter is." Colton said politely.
"Dad, that Girl is nothing but a fraud. I should be the one getting married to Colton and not her. She told you I said nasty things to her, oh are you aware that she also spoke ill of me and my family? I never mentioned her family in the conversation but she had the nerve to mention mine and even made fun of the fact that we were going bankrupt. She even bullied me for relying on my family's wealth. If I don't rely on my family's wealth, who will? I'm not responsible for her misfortune, I'm not the reason why she was born into a wretched family."
"Just....shut....the...fuck...up!" Colton raised his voice at her. "I would be so dumb to believe all the lies that are coming from your filthy mouth. Who gave you the right to even approach her in the first place?"
"Of course, I had to approach her. I needed to make it clear to her that you're mine and that she needed to stay away."
"You must be insane!" Colton hissed.
"Think whatever you want about me but just know that I wouldn't fall for the cheap act you and that THING are putting up."
"Because your parents told you about the arranged marriage, you suddenly remembered that you have a girlfriend somewhere who's carrying your baby. Dude, she doesn't even look pregnant. You can fool our parents but you can't fool me. Never!"
"And even if she's pregnant by any chance, I'm a hundred percent sure that it's for some random dude."
"Natasha!!!!!" Her father called her name to caution her.
"I hope you can see for yourself, Uncle Troy. Not that Mia and I are fake but I would rather die alone, lonely, and miserable than to be associated with this psycho!" He pointed at Natasha.
"Oh please, stop acting like a victim here. I've been literally stalking you at any opportunity I get. You've been single as fuck but when it's time to get married to me, you suddenly know Mia. You think I don't know her ex broke up with her recently?"
"I don't care what information you have. I don't bloody care what you know either. And neither will I stand here and listen to your stupid threats and lies. Let yesterday be the first and last time you ever approach my woman!"
"If you dare go close to her or any of her loved ones or do anything to hurt them, I promise you that you will regret ever knowing me!"
Giving Natasha a very disgusting look, Colton took his leave.
"Colt!" Troy rose to his feet, about to apologize and calm him down but Colton didn't acknowledge him.
Opening the door to go out of the study room, he bumped into Mary, Natasha's mother.
"Hi, Colt!" She smiled at him but he didn't even look her way. He stormed out of their average mansion, feeling extremely pissed.
