"If you want to kill us too, you can kill us," Camille declared, her voice steady despite the chaos around them. She stood tall, ready to face whatever Ava had in store.
Ava shook her head slowly, her expression shifting from fury to exhaustion. "I'm tired of this," she said, her voice wavering. "My sister is admitted in a mental hospital because of the crazy things Victor made her believe. And these women..." She gestured angrily toward Evelyn and Camille's mother, who lay injured on the ground. "They are no better. They're all complicit in this mess."
Camille felt her heart race as she saw the desperation in Ava's eyes. "Ava, you don't have to go down this path. We can help you. We can figure this out together!"
"No!" Ava shouted, her voice filled with anguish. "I don't need your help! I just want revenge! All of you think you're better than me, but you have no idea what l've been through!"
Suddenly, Leo stepped forward, his fists clenched. "This isn't just about you, Ava! You think hurting us will make things better for you?
You'll just be hurting yourself more!"
Matthew chimed in, his voice rising with tension. "We're all victims here! You're not the only one who's suffered. You don't have to take it out on us!"
Ava laughed bitterly, shaking her head. "You don't understand. This isn't about suffering— it's about power! And right now, I hold all the cards."
"Do you even hear yourself?" Leo shot back, anger flashing in his eyes. "You're willing to sacrifice everything just to feel powerful for a moment? That's not strength; that's weakness!"
Camille felt a surge of frustration at the way Leo was challenging Ava while they were all still in danger. "This isn't helping! We need to focus on getting out of here!" she urged, her heart pounding.
But Ava's expression hardened again as she tightened her grip on the gun. "I will not let you all walk away after everything that's happened.
You think you can just walk back into your lives? You have no idea how deep this goes!"
"Then let's find out!" Matthew shouted, stepping forward to confront Ava directly. "But not with violence! We can't keep playing this game!"
"Enough!" Ava screamed, her voice echoing in the warehouse. "You think you're all so noble, but you're just as much a part of this twisted world as I am!"
At that moment, Camille noticed Leo and Matthew exchanging heated glances, a tension building between them that sent chills down her spine.
"What are you trying to say?" Leo snapped, pointing at Matthew accusingly. "You think this is all just about Camille and how she feels?
You're only thinking of yourself!"
"Leo, this isn't about me! This is about all of us!" Matthew shot back, his voice tight with anger. "Camille is caught in the middle of this madness, and we need to keep her safe!"
"Safe? You think I can protect her?" Leo retorted, stepping closer to Matthew. "You're just as reckless! You kissed her last night like it was nothing, and now we're in this mess!"
"Guys, stop!" Camille cried out, feeling the weight of their arguments press down on her.
"This isn't the time for this! We have to deal with Ava first!"
But Ava's eyes gleamed with a dark satisfaction as she watched the boys bicker, clearly enjoying the chaos unfolding in front of her.
"Look at you all," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Fighting over Camille while we're about to get shot or killed. Pathetic."
"Shut up, Ava!" Matthew shouted, but the damage was done. Camille felt torn, caught between the boys and the dangerous woman before them.
Just then, a loud crash echoed from the back of the warehouse, causing everyone to jump.
"What was that?" Noah whispered, tension thick in the air.
Ava's eyes widened with alarm, and she turned her head toward the noise. "What is happening?" she demanded, her voice rising in panic.
In that moment of distraction, Camille knew they had to act fast. She reached for Noah, Leo, and Matthew, her heart pounding as she prepared to make a move.
"Now!" she shouted, adrenaline coursing through her veins.
But just as they lunged forward, Ava whipped around, her finger trembling on the trigger.
"Don't you dare! I will shoot!"
