Alpha's Caged Love

Its the time to strike

Ch. 114 / 159 May 05, 2026

Selena sat morosely in her dimly lit room, the weight of captivity suffocating her spirit. She yearned for the freedom she once knew. The room was her prison, and she could only dream of the outside world.

The door to her chamber creaked open, interrupting her solitary musings. An irritable young woman stepped into the room, followed closely by a few omega pack members carrying trays of food. Selena's eyes widened as she recognised the woman, David's mate.

"Here's your lunch," the girl grumbled, her voice tinged with annoyance. She gestured for the omegas to place the trays on the table before retreating with their arms crossed tightly over their chests.

Selena observed Rose for a moment, noting the weariness etched into her features. She hesitated, contemplating whether to break the silence or remain in her despondent state. But something compelled her to engage with her, to seek a glimmer of connection amidst the darkness.

"Thank you," Selena ventured, her voice soft and earnest. "It's been a while since we've had the chance to talk. We were never properly introduced. I am Selena, your sister-in-law."

The woman's eyes flickered with surprise as she regarded Selena. She seemed taken aback by the polite conversation, not expecting such warmth from someone held captive.

"I am Rose. My dad is the alpha of the Redmoon pack." She said proudly.

The Redmoon was a rich and powerful pack. Their territory spanned across several counties and their members were known for their fierce loyalty to their alpha. Despite her tough exterior, Rose had grown up with privilege and comfort, which was clear in the way she carried herself.

"Nice to meet you, Rose. So how have you been?"

After a moment's hesitation, Rose sighed and relented, her hardened expression softening ever so slightly.

"I've been... miserable," Rose admitted, her voice laced with a mixture of frustration and sadness. "I thought being David's mate, the heir to the pack, would bring me a life of comfort and luxury. But I find myself trapped in a gilded cage, powerless and at the mercy of his father. I barely get any allowance. You know I must give details of all my shopping?"

Selena listened intently; her half-sisters used to lament as well. No wonder they left, never to return once they found their mates. She understood all too well the pain of unfulfilled expectations and the longing for a better life. A spark of an idea ignited within her, and she offered a suggestion.

"Perhaps it's time for a change," Selena proposed gently. "Maybe it's time for David to step up and take control of the pack. If he were to challenge his father's authority, he could shape a new future for himself and for you."

Rose's eyes gleamed with a mixture of greed and curiosity. The notion of taking control and breaking free from the oppressive reign of her father-in-law seemed both exhilarating and terrifying. She pondered Selena's words, her mind racing with the possibilities.

"You may be onto something," Rose murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "But how? How do we make it happen?"

Selena's lips curved into a knowing smile. "There is someone who could help us, someone who hates him as much as you do. Alpha Cayden. If David were to meet him, perhaps they could find a way to unite their forces."

Rose's eyes widened at the mention of Alpha Cayden.

"Wait, are you suggesting David should rebel and go against his dad?"

"Yes," replied Selena firmly. "David is capable of leading his own pack, and with Cayden's help, they could overthrow his father's tyrannical rule and you will get the life you want?"

As Rose nodded, a newfound determination gleaming in her eyes, Selena felt a renewed sense of purpose. The wheels of change had been set in motion, and the path to liberation was within her grasp.

Cayden was fuming and focused. His wolf lingered on the brink of releasing his beast. Tonight would end in a bloodbath. He welcomed it, his sights set on destroying anyone standing in his way.

They hurried through the night, approaching the club. Hawk's extravagant piece of shit. The strategy was simple. Attack and take Jennifer with as minor damage as possible. The council meeting was scheduled for 4 hours. The damage would have been done by the time Hawk realised what had happened.

Music permeated the air the closer they got, voices humming in the distance. Much to their benefit, the pack's guards were busy preparing for the council meeting.

The pack approached the back entrance, shrouded in darkness. Two guards stood sentinel, their muscles taut and their eyes watchful. With a nod from Cayden, his pack members split into pairs, positioning themselves strategically to neutralize the guards without raising alarm.

As the first pair struck, swift and precise, the element of surprise was on their side. A swift blow to the back of a guard's head rendered him unconscious, while the other guard barely had time to react before a pair of strong arms wrapped around his throat, cutting off his ability to cry out. Within moments, the guards lay subdued on the ground.

Cayden's eyes met with his pack members; their expressions were resolute. They knew the mission had only just begun. The group moved forward, slipping through the back entrance like phantoms in the night.

Inside, the pulsating music and frenetic energy of the club assaulted their senses. Bodies writhed on the dancefloor, and laughter mingled with the clinking of glasses at the bar. But Cayden's focus remained unwavering as he led his pack through the throngs of revellers, their presence unnoticed amidst the chaos.

The group descended into the depths of the club, guided by Cayden's instincts and the information he had meticulously gathered. Dimly lit corridors stretched before them, lined with closed doors and guarded passages. Each step brought them closer to their goal—the basement.

As they reached a reinforced door, Cayden signalled for his men to ready themselves. With a powerful kick, the door gave way, crashing against the wall with a resounding thud. The pack surged forward, weapons drawn, ready to face whatever awaited them.

Inside the basement, the air was heavy with the scent of dampness and despair. Harsh fluorescent lights illuminated the path ahead, revealing a labyrinth of narrow corridors and hidden chambers. The pack moved with heightened vigilance, their senses attuned to the slightest sound or movement.

They encountered resistance in the form of guards stationed strategically throughout the basement. Fierce clashes ensued, the clash of steel against steel, the thunderous roar of elemental powers colliding. Cayden's pack fought with unwavering resolve, their bodies a symphony of strength and skill.

Amidst the chaos, Cayden's voice rang out, directing his pack, their movements coordinated and precise. With every guard subdued, they pressed forward, pushing deeper into the heart of the darkness.

Finally, they reached a secluded section of the basement, hidden from prying eyes. Cayden's sharp gaze landed on a door, the entrance to a chamber concealed from the rest of the world. This was where Jennifer was imprisoned.

With a swift motion, Cayden kicked open the door, revealing a sterile room bathed in a cold, clinical light. Tubes and monitors connected to a solitary bed, where their captive lay motionless, trapped within the confines of a coma.

Cayden's eyes softened as he approached the bed. Jennifer. Her face was serene yet marked by the weight of her ordeal.

Max stepped forwards; concern etched in his features. "Cayden, how do we move her? She's connected to life support."

Cayden's mind raced, seeking a solution amidst the overwhelming odds. His eyes fell upon the intricate web of machinery sustaining Jennifer's fragile existence. Determination ignited within him.

"We will move the whole life support system along with her," Cayden replied, his voice resolute. "We cannot risk disconnecting her. We will ensure her safety, no matter the cost."

Max and the pack members nodded. They set to work, carefully dismantling the life support apparatus, mindful of every connection and delicate wire. With each component disengaged, they prepared to transport Jennifer to safety.

Together, they hoisted the life support system and the bed.

Emerging from the club's confines, they entered the cool night air. Cayden and his pack blended seamlessly into the shadows.
