Cam's POV
Anger was pulsing through my veins, as I kept remembering that one sentence, "Angelo is my mate."
How could I not see the signs! I was so blind to it all. How stupid was I not to notice that he was always with her and Diana seemed a little too concerned of Angelo when he went unconscious, she never cared for a drunk man before. Angelo is known for being a player and I just thought that he was trying to use her since was known for catching alpha's attention that wanted her for one reason. Taking on the brotherly roll I was now on me to make sure no one could break her heart while her brother was gone.
But I didn't like her in that way. Well, I had to make it seem like I did as to not cause any suspicions. I actually didn't feel attracted to her in at all. I promised Diana's brother I would look after her and after all this time she has become more of a little sister than anything else. Just can't believe someone like Angelo is her mate.
He is going to be mad as hell.
I stopped running when I realized I was in a different part of the woods since the smell of my pack was unrecognizable anymore. My unconscious mind brought me here automatically and I slowly began to remember where I was. I was close to the bad part of the forest where most rouges lingered since it was an unclaimed territory. Where the rogues roam is not the best place to be since they tend to lose their control to their animalistic side. Before I could even blink, I was brought to the ground by an unknown force, my ribs getting a bad bruise by the brunt force Yet it quickly vanished as my regeneration kicked in better in wolf form. Something warm inside my chest was spreading causing me to hesitate on attacking back.
I switched places with the werewolf for a second but somehow ended up once again on the ground with its teeth on my neck. I was deathly still in their hold and waited for them to end my life but nothing came. There was only one werewolf I knew who was fast enough to do that move.
We both shifted into human form and his face came into view, a smirk on his red lips. He always liked playing rough with me in our training sessions. His hair had grown out from outcasting himself into the wild. Once that long black hair back out of his face so he could look at me better, James flashed me a smile. Those green familiar eyes looked directly into mine as got off of me.
"Well it's nice to see you again, mate. How's my lovely sister doing?"
Diana's POV
I have to admit I didn't expect that from my dad. I mean he didn't even allow me to date. One time he went as far as purposely warning the guys in our pack to stay away from me so they started avoiding me at all cost. I didn't date much and the guys I did go out with were next to be alpha jerks. So why is he acting like this all of the sudden? I didn’t think about it too much but glad he didn’t make me choose between staying here or leaving.
"Are you just going to stand there and let me look at you or are you going to give me a strip show I will never forget?" Angelo suddenly said pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked down to see he was already in my bed without a shirt, his grey eyes looking up at me expectantly.
What the hell?
"Angelo, honey, do I look like a fucking stripper?" I asked calmly making him laugh out loud with my response. The sound of his laughter made pleasurable goose bumps appear and I had to bite down on my lip to try and stop myself from jumping onto him.
I realized I didn't need to resist anymore, but damn it was fun while it lasted.
Those tempting lips of his met mine, shutting him up. Just like every time I kissed him, my heart started to beat faster and something warm spread out from my chest. Tingles ran up my spine when his tongue explored my mouth. His warm hands grabbed me from my waist and pulled me down on top of him making everything I was feeling ten times stronger.
I broke away breathing fast, my palms were pressed against his chest where I could feel his heart beating fast too. His eyes left mine and fell down to neck slowly where they stayed there. Angelo, then he said something that shocked me because I didn't expect to hear this so soon.
"I want to mark you."
