Diana's POV
When I closed my eyes, even only for a moment, I saw Cam's angry honey colored ones. Cam told me through our link that he was going to go for a run after he killed the rogue, saying it would help calm him down. I knew the secret was going to get out but I didn't expect for it to be this fast. If it wasn't for Angelo, I could have gotten more time to think about leaving with him or staying here with my pack for now until we figure who will take my place. Clearly, I wasn't ready to be alpha if I easily fell into an insane rouge's trap.
For that purpose, I was currently murdering Angelo inside my head. I wonder if he screams like a girl...
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Angelo asked taking some glances at me as he drove. I didn't notice before but he practically seems to be glowing, almost like a fat lost kid in a huge candy store. He was eating this all up.
"Just out of curiosity... do you scream like a girl when you get hurt?" I asked looking at him intensely, waiting for him to answer.
His eyebrows knitted in confusion, "What kind of question is that?"
"An easy one," I said smirking a bit when he glared at me for a second before turning his eyes back on the road thinking.
Once Cam ran off Angelo grabbed the keys and took it upon himself to drive us back to the house but I don't think he even knows where he is going. That is so alpha male of him, not asking for directions thinking he knows the way. I'm pretty sure I've seen that same house for the third time now. He must be driving in a big circle without realizing it. How he even managed to find us purely from my scent was impressive.
"I'm an alpha. I don't scream like a girl." Angelo stated puffing out his chest and lifting his chin up in male pride.
"Oh?" I let out surprised while raising an eyebrow up. "Let's test that out."
I punched him in the arm making the car swerve drastically to the right and left before he steadied it and put it in its original position. A car honked at us before speeding up and passing us. Angelo, being the nice person, he is, gave them the finger.
"What the hell was that for?" He asked once the car was out of sight while rubbing his arm. I laughed at his reaction because he looked so childish. I bet it didn't even hurt him.
"Just making sure you weren't lying," I said making him shake his head at me. Looking out the window I noticed it was already dark and clouds were starting to roll in. The weather was always like this here, one day it was sunny and the next it full on pouring.
"To tell you the truth, I don't know where the hell we are." Angelo finally confessed after some minutes passed by making me break out into a smile. Looking at him through the corner of my eye I saw it had hurt him to show that he wasn't almighty after all.
Men. What was so wrong with asking someone for directions?
"Hmm, what was that?" I asked faking like I didn't hear what he said. Clenching his jaw, he gave me a look telling me that I easily heard him the first time.
"I don't know where we are." He gritted out his cheeks a light pink making me bit down on my bottom lip. He was just so fun to mess with, it reminded me of Benjamin.
"Turn right here and then go straight. After the third stop light go left and we will be there after 10 miles." I said smirking. He simply nodded and followed my directions. He seemed so different when we were alone, it was like I was seeing the real Angelo. He was possessive, kind, sensitive, childish and arrogant all at the same time.
When we arrived, Angelo parked the car and I took the chance to tell him something. "Angelo."
His handsome head turned towards me and he raised a perfect eyebrow in response.
Not used to doing this it took me a while to find my voice. "T-thank you for saving me earlier today," I could feel my cheeks turn a light pink when he didn't say anything and kept staring back at me.
Gritting my teeth, I was going to get out but he quickly locked the doors making my head snap towards him.
"What are you doing?" I asked as his eyes became darker.
Without saying anything Angelo grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me onto his lap, surprising me. His lips found mine and they were so sweet and tender. Unable to help myself at the burning passion growing between us I kissed him back, running my fingers through his rough black hair. Angelo pushed me closer towards him, his body heat wrapping around us both. The heat between us was starting to make the windows mist up from the inside out.
We broke away breathing fast, his lustful grey eyes looking into mine inches away before he looked away and started kissing my neck. My dazed state mine loved the little kisses he was putting down my jaw and neck. But, a part of me was angered by how easy it was for him to control my body with his touch and simple gaze. I wasn't used to it.
"Do you think I would really let you go when you looked so adorable?" He whispered against my skin, the vibration causing tingles to spread over my body.
It was beginning to get a whole lot hard to ignore these feelings he was creating.
