Diana's POV
My eyes found their way to Angelo's kissable red lips shaped so perfectly just wanting to be pressed against mine. I tried resisting but it became almost impossible when he bit down on his bottom lip while smoldering me with those dark grey eyes. He was purposely making it hard for me. How was I going to resist that? Nobody would be able to resist the way those hands roamed your body ever so softly leaving a trail of heat. My heart was beating overtime after what he just said but then I remembered what happened earlier. I found my control by taking in a deep and letting it out in a soft moan. If he thinks I have forgotten or simply forgiven him, he is wrong... He said he would give me time.
Leaning down I kissed him softly moving my lips in sync with his. I started plotting something, my mind a bit fuzzy from everything but still working properly enough to come up with a plan. While playing with the small hairs on his neck making him shiver, I began to grab a fist full of his hair and pulled making a low growl escape his lips at the action. It was rough so it woke up our animalistic side for a second. I knew some tricks and he wasn't expecting it.
"You don't want to do that, angel." He warned with a husky voice when we pulled away. He quickly brought me back pressing himself against me, not allowing an inch of space between our heated bodies. Those lips of his found my neck and made my body feel waves of passion. It caused me to forget my plan momentarily.
"Oh, but I do," I whispered seductively in his ear while pulling on his earlobe gently with my teeth. I could tell he was holding back his wolf from taking control because he was letting out ragged breaths, unlike his normal ones. Not about to stop my plan I began to kiss down his neck, pulling his head to the side using his hair to give me more access to his neck causing another growl to come out from him. Angelo's hands were sliding down my sides slowly, leaving skin tingling sensations where ever he touched. I was practically straddling him and he used that to grab my ass. I uncontrollably moaned against his skin but it seemed to work in my favor because I could feel him get aroused. I couldn't help but smile that he was definitely enjoying this too much.
As my hands ran down his chest, teasingly, he warned, "Diana."
Not listening to him I pulled it off him and threw it in the backseat. With my plan still in my mind, I began to kiss down his chest, rocking my hips against his the slightest. He moaned and I liked how I could bring that out of him. If he could easily control my body, I could do the same.
"Angelo," I said.
"Hmm," He slightly moaned in response as I kissed my way up to his lips to look into his face.
"You're sleeping on the floor tonight," I said and without warning I opened his door and slid out of his grasp, leaving him stunned. Seeing the look on his face was priceless!
After the rush of doing him dirty like that was gone the grin slowly slide off my face. My father has in no doubt found out about Angelo being my mate so I'll have hell to pay for not telling him in the first place. Even though it was dark out here with only the moon's light out the kids were running around the house playing tag. People were walking around talking about the daily catch of the day which I missed. It was bonding time I did with them to provide I could provide for them, protect them and guide them. Missing the hunt for that was making me feel like I wasn't good enough yet.
Everyone was still interacting with the pack so it was pretty noisy in the living room. I felt like hiding away in my room so I wouldn't get a lecture from my dad so I acted on that. I stopped someone I knew who was in charge of the kitchen supplies.
"Get the food out the car, please. Make sure to bring some people with you so it can go faster." I said letting go of his shoulder. He nodded his head already motioning for two guys to follow him speaking to them in the bond we shared as a pack. It let you send sound waves to another person's ear like a face touch. That is what connected all of us magically as a pack to run efficiently.
I didn't want to see my father's angry face so I ran towards my room like the buggy monster was following me. When I reached the door to my room, I sighed and quickly stepped inside leaning my back on the closed the door behind me. After a few seconds of calming down my heartbeat, I flicked the light switch on and was scared to death when I saw my father sitting in a leather couch far off in a dark corner.
"H-hi dad," I greeted him as. I couldn't tell if he was mad at me by the dark shadow that fell on his face. My dad slowly stood up without saying anything and walked towards me. I closed my eyes waiting for him to start yelling at me or something but when nothing came, I popped one eye open. I was faced with his chest as he slowly wrapped his arms around me, shocking me.
"Don't ' hi dad ' me, why didn't you tell me?" He asked and I noticed he wasn't angry but rather sad. "I mean your mother even knew about it before I did."
I've always been a daddy's girl so this made my eyes water up. I hugged him tightly back, breathing in his fatherly scent to calm myself down before I began speaking.
"I didn't want to pick between my family and him, at least not yet," I mumbled into his chest but he heard me perfectly. It felt good getting it out of my chest as he rubbed my back gently. He felt like a big cuddly bear since he was so big and squishy.
"Honey, a family is important but so is your mate. I would never try to keep you away from happiness. There is no choice between your mate and your family. Your mate always comes first. Besides, your mother wants grandchildren." He joked knowing she probably blurted that out in the slightest chance it was possible. He gave me a small smile and it showed his old age with wrinkles. Not to mention his hair was starting to show white and they around here meant it was time for a new alpha soon. He was a great one and everyone trusted his judgment to pass it on to me.
I smiled back, blinking away the tears that his heart-warming words brought, before saying, "Oh, she has made that perfectly clear!"
He chuckled and was about to say something but the door opened and in stumbled Angelo. Once he saw my father his eyes widen like a kid who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He wasn’t prepared for this, rather caught off guard. Those eyes of his blinked rapidly before he recomposed himself.
"I was going to talk to you tomorrow... but now is good too." My father said walking towards Angelo, the tone of his voice changing into a scary overprotective dad one. I know the sound of his voice because I've heard it before. He usually did this with my exes in a bid to scare them off. He is going try to sound like a big bad wolf. Angelo knows the power my father still held to this day and the knowledge he accumulated through the years.
Angelo gulped and I watch his Adam apple going up and down. He knew he should have told his father first before Cam and it spread to everyone so he stood up straighter and masked his face from showing any emotion. "You're a lucky man, Russell. If you ever hurt her, or mistreat her in any way, trust me I will find you and personally rip off your every lib off with my bare teeth and make your last seconds on earth your worst nightmare. Besides that, welcome to the family."
Well, that went well...minus the part where he threatens him.
"I know you're serious, sir, so hear me when I say that I will lay my life on the line for her any day, at any hour, at any second. I can't imagine hurting her. Having a mate, yourself, you must know how it feels to want them to be happy. Protecting her is what I'll do." Angelo got my dad to smile at his words. He knew how hard it was going to be to make the one you love happy.
My dad slowly shook Angelo's hand smiling and shaking his head in humor, before saying, "Good luck keeping your man pride, Angelo."
With that, he left us alone and we both left out the air in our lungs that we didn't know we were holding. We both stood there trying to make out what just happened until Angelo broke the silence.
"I think I saw my life pass by before my eyes just now."
