Daniella visited Desmond's company
Vanessa smiled faintly but didn’t respond immediately. She took another slow bite of fruit before speaking. "It’s been... hard. But I’m trying to stay positive. I just want to get better."
"You will," Anabel assured her. "You are strong, Vanessa. And you have me and Sylvester here to take care of you. Just make sure you adhere to the doctor’s instructions and don’t push yourself too hard."
Vanessa nodded again. "I will."
For the next several minutes, Vanessa continued to eat the fruit salad slowly, pausing every so often to adjust her posture or to make it seem as though she was in discomfort.
Once it was ten minutes, Vanessa slowly dropped the food and laid back on the bed.
"Sorry, you will be fine." Sha said and gave Vanessa’s hand a gentle squeeze before turning to Sylvester.
"I will be going now. Take good care of her," she said and turned to Vanessa. "Remember—no overdoing it. Rest as much as you can."
"I will." Thank you for everything, Anabel." Vanessa replied.
As Anabel left the room, Vanessa let out a small breath of relief, and glanced at Sylvester. He gave her a subtle thumbs-up, but the tension in his posture didn’t fully ease.
Vanessa sat up and stretched her arms slightly, letting her posture loosen as the pretense she had upheld for Anabel melted away. Her expression shifted, showing clear traces of impatience that had been carefully hidden during the visit.
"Sylvester, I’ve had enough of this hospital charade. I want to leave tomorrow." She said.
"Are you sure about this? Leaving so soon could raise some questions." He replied.
"I don't think so. Anabel is already convinced that I’m recovering. She bought the act today, didn’t she? I don’t see the point of staying any longer. It’s exhausting pretending to be weak and fragile all the time, and honestly, I can’t take another day in this bed."
"Vanessa, this isn’t just about what you want right now. Rushing out of here might undo all the progress we’ve made convincing her." Sylvester said, and Vanessa shook her head, "I’ve made up my mind, Sylvester. I’m leaving tomorrow. Anabel already thinks I’m recovering faster than expected. It won’t be hard to convince her I’m well enough to leave. Besides, I will tell the doctor myself. He will have no reason to stop me."
"Fine, we will tell the doctor. But you have to stick to the story at home. We can’t afford for anything to go wrong."
"Don’t worry. I will handle it. I’ve played this role well so far, haven’t I?" Sylvester nodded reluctantly, though she could see he was unsettled.

Daniella decided to visit Desmond's biggest company to supervise. She has picked the company in divorce paper. Desmond will be signing the divorce paper the next day, and she believed she would be getting the company.
Daniella arrived at Desmond’s sprawling company headquarters. The gleaming, modern building, complete with polished glass windows and towering columns, stood as a testament to Desmond’s hard work and success.
Daniella stepped out of the taxi in her designer outfit and high heels, and took a moment to admire the beautiful structure. In her mind, the company was already hers.
By tomorrow, once the divorce papers were signed and she secured half of Desmond’s wealth, this company would become her playground. She was already seeing herself as the CEO, ruling over the staff, controlling operations, and basking in the power she believed she deserved.
She adjusted her handbag on her shoulder, and strutted toward the main entrance. Her heels were clicking confidently against the pavement as she walk.
To her, there was no question that she will soon be in control. It was only a matter of time before everyone else recognized it too.
As she approached the main entrance door, a uniformed security guard stepped forward to intercept her. He was a tall man with a weathered face. His demeanor was firm but professional as he raised a hand to stop Daniella.
"Excuse me, ma’am." The security personnel said politely. "Who are you and what are you here for?"
