Enzo’s POV
I wandered the pack house, trying to clear my head after a long day. I had been feeling restless lately, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
As I turned a corner, I saw Tricia sneaking around the bedrooms. She looked nervous and fidgety, and her eyes darted back and forth as if checking to ensure no one was watching.
My instincts immediately went on high alert. What was Tricia doing here, and what was she hiding?
I crept up behind her, trying to be as quiet as possible. I didn't want to startle her, but I needed to know what was happening.
Tricia's eyes snapped up, and she froze, her hand hovering over the door handle. She knew she was caught. “Enzo?”
I stepped forward, my eyes locking onto hers. "What are you doing here, Tricia?"
Tricia's face paled, and she took a step back, trying to put some distance between us. "Enzo, it's just...I'm just looking for something."
I raised an eyebrow. "At this time? In the middle of the pack house?"
Tricia's eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape route. But I wasn't going to let her get away that easily.
"I'm not going to ask you again, Tricia. What are you doing? I can get my father right now if you prefer to be questioned by the alpha.”
Tricia shook her head profusely and took a deep breath; she let it out slowly. "Okay, fine. I'm helping Daniella."
My eyes narrowed. "Helping Daniella? What does that mean?"
Tricia's shoulders slumped in defeat. "She wants to become the Luna of Creek Pack, and I'm just trying to help her."
I felt a surge of anger and betrayal. "You're helping Daniella? But why? She's not even our true mate!"
Tricia's eyes dropped to the floor. "I know it doesn't make sense, but...Daniella is my friend, and I believe in her."
I shook my head. "You're supposed to be loyal to this pack too, Tricia. But it seems like your loyalty is elsewhere. I should inform my parents of this. Let's see what they have to say about it.”
Tricia's eyes snapped up, a mixture of guilt and defiance on her face. "I'm not choosing sides, Enzo. I'm just trying to help Daniella achieve her dream."
I snorted. "Her dream? You mean her manipulation and deception?"
Tricia's face fell, and she looked down at her feet again. "I know it sounds bad, but... we're just trying to help you and your brothers see things differently."
I raised an eyebrow. "See things differently? You mean cloud our senses with some potion?"
Tricia's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know?"
I smirked. "Let's just say I have my ways. And I won't let you get away with this, Tricia."
Tricia's face paled further, and she took a step back. "Enzo, please...don't tell anyone about this..."
I shook my head. "You won't beg your way out of this one, Tricia. You're going to have to face the consequences of your actions." I growled and pinned her against the wall, causing her to bare her teeth.
“You better come with me now,” I growled and yanked her arm, causing her to yelp loudly.
I reached the door to my father's office and pushed it open. The room was dimly lit, with only a few candles flickering on the desk. My father, the alpha of the Creek Pack, sat behind the desk, his eyes fixed on me.
"Enzo," he said, his voice low and commanding. "What is it that you've brought me?"
I nodded, feeling a sense of resolve. "Tricia has been helping Daniella behind our backs," I said, my voice firm. "She's been using some potion to cloud our senses and make us see things differently."
My father's eyes narrowed, his expression growing darker. "What?" he growled.
I nodded. "Yes, sir. And Tricia has been sneaking around the pack house, trying to cover her tracks."
My father leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Tricia. "So," he said, his voice cold and detached. "You've been betraying your pack and your family."
Tricia's eyes dropped, her face flushing with shame. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
My father's expression didn't change. "You're going to have to face the consequences of your actions," he said.
Tricia nodded, her eyes welling up with tears. "I know," she said. “I'm so sorry, Alpha Morgan.”
My father leaned back in his chair, his eyes still fixed on Tricia. "I'll let you think about what you've done," he said. "And then we'll decide what punishment is fitting," he told her.
“Enzo, take her down to the cell block for now and bring Daniella to me now,” he ordered, and I immediately got up to do as my father had said.
“Please, Alpha, don't hurt me. I was doing what Daniella told me to do.” she started to yell, but my father ignored her childish squeals.
“You're lucky he's not killed you,” I growled as I dragged Tricia out of the office, her eyes welling up with tears as she looked back at my father's stern face. I could feel her trembling beneath my grip, knowing she regretted her actions.
As we walked down the hallway, I could hear the sound of footsteps echoing from the distance. I knew it was Daniella, and my instincts told me to prepare for a confrontation.
I pushed Tricia into the standard room, and she stumbled forward, eyes scanning the room for an escape. But I was too quick, and I grabbed her arm, holding her in place.
"Enzo, please," she whispered, her voice shaking with fear. "Don't do this."
I turned to face the doorway, and my eyes met Daniella's. She was standing there, a smug smile spreading across her face.
"Ah, Enzo," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
I felt a surge of rage at her words, and I took a step forward, ready to pounce. But Tricia's hand on my arm stopped me.
"Enzo, don't," she whispered. "Please."
I looked down at her and saw the fear and pleading in her eyes. I took a deep breath and let go of my anger.
"Fine," I said, my voice cold and detached. "You're coming with us."
Daniella laughed, and I could see the amusement in her eyes. "Oh, I don't think so," she said. "I think I'll be leaving shortly."
I narrowed my eyes. "You're not going anywhere until you face the consequences of your actions."
Daniella shrugged. "I'm not afraid of your father or your pack. I have...allies."
I raised an eyebrow. "Allies?"
Daniella smiled. "Let's just say I have some...friends who will help me achieve my goals."
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realised what was happening. Daniella was trying to take down our pack from the inside out.
And just as I was about to react, my father's voice boomed from the hallway.
"Enough," he said. "It's time for you to face the consequences of your actions."
Daniella smiled again and turned to leave. But I was too quick. I grabbed her arm and held her in place.
"You're not going anywhere," I said, my voice cold and deadly.
