Enzo's POV
I dragged Tricia down to the cell block, her eyes welling up with tears as she looked back at my father's stern face. She begged and pleaded, but I was resolute. She had betrayed our pack and family, and now she had to face the consequences.
As we descended into the dark, damp cells, the air grew thick with the scent of mould and decay. Tricia's eyes darted around, taking in the cold, rigid walls and the rough stone floors.
"Please, Enzo," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Don't do this. I'll do anything. I don't belong down here. I am too good for these disgusting conditions. I will get ill from all these awful germs." She shrieked hysterically.
I stopped before a cell, its metal bars gleaming in the dim light. I pushed Tricia inside, and she stumbled forward, her hands reaching for me.
"Enzo, please," she whispered, her voice cracking with desperation.
I turned to face her, my eyes cold and hard. "You're going to have to face the consequences of your actions," I said, my voice firm.
Tricia's eyes dropped, her shoulders slumping in defeat. I turned to leave, but she reached out, her hand grasping for mine.
"Enzo, wait," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I turned back to her, my expression unyielding. "What is it?" I asked, feeling impatient with her now.
Tricia's eyes pleaded with me. "Please, Enzo... don't tell anyone else what I did. Please."
I raised an eyebrow. "You think I should keep your betrayal a secret?"
Tricia nodded frantically. "Yes, please...just don't tell anyone else."
I shook my head. "You'll have to face the consequences of your actions, Tricia. And that includes telling everyone what you did."
I turned and left the cell, leaving Tricia to her thoughts and her despair. I couldn't help but feel a sense of anger and betrayal. How could Tricia have done this to us? To our family?
I reached the top of the stairs and saw Daniella waiting for me, a sly smile spreading across her face.
"Ah, Enzo," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I see you're taking care of Tricia. That's very...caring of you."
I narrowed my eyes. "What do you want?" I growled. "Aren't you supposed to be with my father? What punishment did he give you?" I demanded to know, but Daniella shrugged. "That is between me and Alpha Morgan. I just wanted to let you know that I'm not going anywhere. And neither is my plan to get you and your brothers to accept me. You know it's for the best, and even your father agrees."
I felt a surge of anger at her words. How could she think that? My father would never be so stupid!
"I'll never accept you," I said, my voice cold and deadly. "None of us will. Not even Rio when he finds out the truth about you."
Daniella laughed. "Oh, I think you will," she said. "And when you do, you'll be begging for mercy."
I took a step forward, my fists clenched at my sides. "You're not going to get away with this," I growled.
Daniella raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice innocent.
"You know exactly what I mean," I said, my eyes flashing angrily. "You're trying to manipulate me and the pack. You're trying to get us to trust you, and then you'll strike when we least expect it."
Daniella's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots," she said. "You're just a foolish little boy who doesn't know what's good for him. Goodnight, future mate of mine, and I will expect Tricia out before the morning." She blew me a kiss and strutted off.
I felt a red-hot rage ignite within me. How dare she! She was a traitor, and she was going to pay for her betrayal.
"Enzo."
I turned to see Rylan standing behind me, his eyes filled with concern.
"What is it?" I asked.
"We need to talk," he said. "It's about our father."
I grabbed Rylan's arm and walked off so we were alone and could speak privately. "He is saying things that I do not like the sound of, and he seems to have been talking to Daniella before I walked into the office," Rylan informed me, and I sighed. Something weird was going on, and I wouldn't let it happen.
"What did he say? How did he seem?" I asked my brother. "Daniella is up to something. She is a conniving cow." I growled at the thought of Daniella and her smugness.
"He is insisting that we take her as our chosen Luna."
I felt a surge of anger and betrayal at my father's words. "What? No way!" I exclaimed. "We can't just take her as our Luna. She's a traitor, and she's been manipulating us from the beginning. I caught Tricia sneaking around, and she is helping Daniella manipulate us. She is down the cells right now, and Daniella was dragged off to Dad's office, but now she's back out here, all smug. I don't know what is going on. Why is our father not punishing her like Tricia?"
Rylan nodded in agreement. "I know. I don't understand why Father would even suggest such a thing. She is a manipulator. Has he gone crazy?"
I shook my head. "It's because he's under Daniella's influence. She's been playing him like a puppet, and he's too blind to see it."
Rylan's eyes narrowed.”Enzo, listen to me. Tomorrow morning, you, Ed, and Rio need to go for a run. We need to talk and come up with a plan. I have things to tell you," Rylan suddenly said.
I nodded reluctantly. "We will talk in the morning."
