Rylan’s POV
When I woke up after a rubbish night's sleep, I sat up in my bed for a few moments and contemplated what I could do to resolve my situation. The first thing on my mind was to discuss privately with my brothers and father. I could not believe that Eliza was the white wolf. It changed everything. I knew they would probably think I was being crazy again, but I could not just sit back and allow this to go unnoticed. Alpha Theron was a sly one, and he must have known that Eliza had come from our pack and been treated as an omega. I hated how we treated her, not knowing her true identity.
Once I gathered my thoughts, I dressed and headed downstairs to the pack house where I knew my family would be.
I noticed Daniella and Tricia deep in thought and laughing together like they had so much to be excited over. I felt sick as I heard her say the word Luna.
“You will never be Luna,” I yelled at her in spite. I could barely stand to look at her now that I had seen her sly side. She would do anything to be the Luna of Creek.
After a few choice words, I sauntered off to find my parents and get their take on the events that had started to unfold.
I was confident that neither would be pleased about my altercation with Theron or Eliza.
As I approached the living room, I could hear their voices and knew they were already deep in conversation.
I knocked gently on the door to my parents' study, nervous about the conversation I was about to have. Alpha Morgan and Luna Lara were busy preparing for the upcoming visit from the king, and I knew this was not the best time to bring up such a sensitive topic. But I couldn't wait any longer.
"Come in," my father's deep voice called out, and I stepped into the room, finding my parents deep in discussion over some pack business.
"Ah, Rylan, what brings you here?" Luna Lara asked, giving me a warm smile as I hugged her. I loved my mother very much.
"I... I need to talk to you both about something important," I started, my heart pounding.
Alpha Morgan raised an eyebrow, sensing the seriousness in my tone. "What is it, son? Is everything alright?"
I took a deep breath and gathered my thoughts. "It's about Eliza. I have reason to believe that she is the white wolf."
My parents exchanged a surprised glance before Luna Lara spoke up. "Rylan, that's quite a claim. Are you sure about this, or is this another one of your and your brothers’ pranks.” she raised an eyebrow suspiciously.
I shook my head, feeling the weight of my words. "I saw her last night.”
“What? You saw that omega. The ungrateful cow. Where is she? Why did you not come to us last night?” my mother snarled.
“She is with Alpha Theron,” I admitted.
Alpha Morgan frowned. His expression was thoughtful. "This is a serious accusation, Rylan. We need concrete evidence before jumping to conclusions. And what do you mean you saw them together? What were you doing near Silver Moon?” my father asked.
“I needed to bring that white wolf to Creek. My brothers need to feel her and know she is our mate. I refuse to take Daniella as my Luna.” I practically spat her name out.
“Son, just because you saw her there does not mean she is the white wolf.” my mother, Luna Lara, placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "We trust your judgment, Rylan, but with the king's visit today, we must proceed cautiously. We can't accuse Theron, and you know the consequences of causing a war against our enemy. It would be better to let it go for now.”
I sighed, knowing they had a point. The king's visit was significant, and any disruption could have severe consequences for our pack. "I understand, but Eliza deserves to know her true identity."
"Your mother is right. We will discuss this further after the king's visit," Alpha Morgan decided, his tone firm. "In the meantime, let's focus on preparing for his arrival."
“Ok. I need to talk to my brothers anyway. I will be back in a while.” I told my parents, who nodded and ushered me out the door. My mother was worried about my revelations, and my father was trying to control his frustration.
My thoughts were interrupted as Rio came charging towards me. He looked mad as hell.
“Rylan? What the hell are you talking about? I heard you say about Eliza and the White Wolf. Are you even more crazy than before?” Rio called from behind me as I left my parent's study. Whirling around crossly at my brother's lack of knowledge, I bared my teeth at him.
"Rio, I'm not crazy, and this is serious!" I snapped, frustration evident in my voice. "Eliza is the white wolf, and I have proof. You have to trust me on this."
Rio's eyes widened in disbelief, his expression sceptical. "Proof? What proof could you possibly have, Rylan? This is madness."
I glared at my brother and shrugged my shoulders. He was far too blinded by Daniella to realise the truth in front of him. Daniella had her claws well and truly deep into Rio.
“You will say anything to avoid Daniella being our mate.” Rio shook his head in disappointment at me, and I clenched my jaw. My brother could not even understand or feel what I felt. “I saw her last night. I went to Silver Moon, and she was there. Alpha Theron was also there, too.” Rio paused for a moment, unsure whether to believe me or not. “No, I'm sorry, but I can't believe this. We have the king coming today, and our parents will be furious if you ruin that and embarrass us with your crazy lies. Father should lock you up.” Rio snapped at me, his eyes blazing over and storming away with me towards a curious Daniella and Tricia.
“Rylan, we believe you, and we want to help you. We don't want Daniella as our mate.” Enzo pulled me aside once Rio was out of earshot. I stared at my brothers and wondered if they were saying that.
“We want to help,” Edward added with a nod.
“Well, we can't do or say anything just yet. We need to bide our time. But I'm telling you, Eliza is the white wolf. I can feel it in my bones. The way she looked at me last night. I know. If you three see her too, then you would understand why. I don't know what Daniella has done to Rio, but she has him wrapped around her little finger. But whatever it is, I will get to the bottom of it. That's for sure.” I promised through clenched teeth.
