Grayson’s POV
“What nonsense are you spouting?” I growled in disgust at the arch-enemy of my pack. I had grown up knowing that my parents hated him. He was horrible, greedy and selfish. Yet here he was, talking such rubbish.
“You. You are my son. My child.” he did not take his eyes off me, and I felt like I'd been punched in the gut.
Alpha Theron, my father? It couldn't be true. I'd always known that my mother had kept secrets from me, but this... this was a whole new level of betrayal.
"Why?" I spat, my voice trembling with rage. "Why did you keep this from me? Why did you lie to me? What about my mother? Who is she?”
Alpha Theron's expression was calm, but his eyes flashed with a hint of anger. "I didn't lie to you, Grayson. You're my son, and I'm proud of you. But you're not ready to know the truth. Your mother is your mother. You are still brothers to these quadruplets, but you have a different father, and that is me. Like I said, you are not ready for the truth yet.”
"Not ready?" I shouted, feeling my anger boil over. "I'm your son for crying out loud! You should have told me!"
"I didn't want to hurt your mother," Alpha Theron said quietly. "You've always been... sensitive, Grayson. I didn't want to burden you with this knowledge until you were ready."
Ready? Ready? What did he mean by that? That I wasn't good enough to handle the truth?
I felt a surge of fury at his words. How dare he doubt my strength? How dare he think I couldn't handle the truth?
"You're my father," I snarled, stepping closer to him. "You're supposed to support me, not hold me back."
Alpha Theron's eyes flashed with a warning, but I didn't care. I was too angry, too hurt.
"I'm not going to let you keep secrets from me anymore," I growled, my voice low and menacing. "I'm going to learn everything there is to know about my past."
And with that, I turned and stormed out of the room, leaving Alpha Theron standing there, looking worried and unsure.
He suddenly lunged towards me and pinned me down to the ground.
“Grayson, you will not continue to take over this pack, nor will you harm anyone within the pack. This girl is not your mate, and she will not be forced to be your mate.”
I struggled against his grip, my anger and frustration boiling over. How dare he try to hold me back? I was his son, and I would not be silenced.
"You're not my father," I spat, my voice venomous. "You're just a liar, a manipulator. You've been hiding the truth from me my whole life."
Alpha Theron tightened around me, his eyes flashing with anger and concern. "Grayson, please listen to me-"
"Listen to you?" I snarled, my body trembling with rage. "You've never listened to me before. You've always lied to me, hidden the truth from me. Why should I listen to you now?"
Alpha Theron's face twisted in pain, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of something like regret in his eyes. But it was quickly replaced by a cold, calculating gaze.
"You're going to do what I say, Grayson," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You're going to forget about this girl and focus on being a good pack member. I am taking you away from Crest. You will learn to respect, and you will do as I say.” he growled, refusing to back off me.
I laughed, the sound bitter and cruel. "You're not my father," I repeated, my voice dripping with hatred. "And I'll never do what you say again. Alpha Morgan is my father, and he always will be. I don't believe your lies. Why are my brothers standing there watching this and not helping me?” I yelled as my brothers watched on in silence. I noticed Daniella standing behind them, looking frightened and unsure of what to do next or even what she should say.
I felt Theron loosen his grip on me, and with that, I managed to wriggle free from his grasp and scrambled to my feet, my heart pounding with rage and fear.
I knew I had to get out of there, had to escape from this monster who claimed to be my father. But as I turned to leave, I saw something that made my blood run cold.
"You're not alone," Alpha Theron said softly, his voice dripping with menace. "You have me now.”
Alpha Theron's face twisted in anger, and for a moment, I thought he might lunge at me again. But instead, he seemed to collect himself, his expression cold and calculating.
"I'll make sure you understand your place, Grayson," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "You're coming with me now."
I felt a rush of adrenaline as I realised what was happening. He was going to take me away from Crest, away from my real family and friends. I knew I had to get out of there, had to escape.
I took a step back, trying to create some distance between us. But Alpha Theron just smiled a cold, cruel smile.
“Rylan, help me. My brothers, help me, please.” he remained still, his face full of anger and hostility.
"You're not going anywhere, Grayson," Theron said. "You're coming with me right now. Enough is enough, and it is about time that I took charge since Morgan hasn't had you under control all these years.” he sneered furiously.
And with that, he reached out and grabbed me again, pulling me towards him. I struggled and kicked, but he was too strong. He dragged me out of the room, leaving behind a trail of destruction and chaos.
“Rylan, Rio, Enzo, Edward, help me.” I snarled, but they didn't listen.
