Daniella’s POV
“You are going to be my chosen mate. I will be alpha tomorrow, and you will be my Luna and produce me an heir,” he smirked confidently. “You will obey my every order, and you will be a good girl.”
I stood before Grayson, my heart racing with fear and anger. I couldn't believe what he was saying. "You can't be serious," I spat out, trying to keep my voice steady. “I belong to your brothers, not you.”
Grayson's smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "Oh, but I am very serious," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance. "You, Daniella, are going to be my mate. Not theirs. They never wanted you anyway. I know all about your failed trick to seduce them with magic.”
I felt like I had been punched in the gut. "No," I said, shaking my head. "No way. I will never mate with you. You make me sick.”
Grayson chuckled, his laughter sending a shiver down my spine. "Ah, but you will," he said, his voice dripping confidently. "You see, I've taken care of the others. The stupid, annoying quadruplets are out of the way, and your precious Alpha Morgan is... indisposed."
I felt a cold dread creeping up my spine. What had Grayson done to them? "What have you done?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.
Grayson's smile grew even wider. "Oh, just a little something," he said, waving his hand dismissively. "They won't be bothering us again."
I felt a wave of fury wash over me. This was it. This was the moment when I had to take a stand. "I will never mate with you," I repeated, my voice firm. He could say what he wanted and do what he wanted, but there was no way he was going to touch me, let alone get me pregnant.
Grayson's eyes narrowed. "You will do as I say," he growled, his voice taking on a menacing tone. "You will mate with me and produce an heir for me. And then, you will follow my orders and do as I say."
I laughed, a cold, bitter sound. "You're insane," I said, trying to keep my fear from showing. "I would rather die than mate with you."
Grayson's face twisted into a snarl. "You would rather die?" he repeated, his voice rising in anger. "You think you're worthy of that? You're just a beta, Daniella. You're nothing without me." he grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and pinned me against the wall.
I felt a surge of rage at his words. How dare he? Who did he think he was? But I kept my temper in check, knowing I had to keep him talking.
"I may not be alpha," I said, my voice cold and detached, "but at least I'm not a monster like you."
Grayson's eyes flashed with anger, but he quickly regained control and let go of me. "We'll see about that," he sneered. "You'll learn to obey me soon enough."
I shivered at the threat in his voice, but I refused to back down. "I'll never obey you," I said, meeting his gaze straight on.
Grayson's smile grew even wider at that, and for a moment, I thought he would lose control completely. But then his expression smoothed out again.
"Ah, but you will," he said, his voice dripping confidently. "You'll learn to obey me soon enough. And when you do... well... let's say you'll be delighted to be by my side."
I felt a chill run down my spine at those words. What did Grayson have planned for me? What did he want me to do?
But before I could ask more questions, Grayson turned and walked away, leaving me alone in the darkness.
I knew I had to get out of there quickly and find help before it was too late. But as I turned to leave, I realised that Grayson wasn't going anywhere.
He was waiting for me in the shadows, his eyes gleaming with evil intent. He was crazy, and I had never wished for Alpha Morgan to appear so much more than right now.
"You're not going anywhere," he said softly.
And before I could react, he grabbed me and dragged me back into the darkness.
I struggled and kicked and screamed, but it was no use. Grayson was too strong.
He dragged me deeper into the shadows until we reached a hidden room deep in the pack's den. He placed a hand over my mouth.
And then... everything went black.
When I came to, I was lying on a cold stone floor in the same room where Grayson had taken me.
But this time... this time... something was different.
“Where am I?” I mumbled. I slowly sat up, trying to clear the fog from my mind. I was in a dark, damp cell deep in the pack's den. The walls were rough stone, and the air was musty and stale. I could hear the sound of dripping water somewhere in the distance.
I tried to stand up, but my head spun, and I fell back down. What had happened? How did I end up here?
I looked around, trying to take in my surroundings. The cell was small, with no windows or doors I could see. There was a small bed of straw in one corner and a bucket in another. That was it.
I felt a wave of panic wash over me. Where was Grayson? Why was I here? And what did he plan to do with me?
I tried to think back to what had happened before I blacked out. Grayson had said something about the quadruplets being out of the way and Alpha Morgan being... indisposed. What did that mean?
And then there was something about him wanting me to be his mate and produce an heir. An heir! The thought sent a shiver down my spine.
I knew I had to get out of here, but how? The walls were too high, and the door was probably locked. I was trapped.
I sat back down on the bed of straw, feeling hopeless and scared. What was going to happen to me? Was I going to be stuck here forever?
“Grayson, you better let me out of here and explain yourself. This isn't funny.” I yelled and kicked at the door. It was no use, though, because nobody would rescue me. They would not think to look down here.
As I sat there, I heard the sound of footsteps outside the cell. They were heavy, and they seemed to be coming closer.
My heart racing, I stood up again, trying to prepare myself for whatever was about to happen.
The door creaked open, and Grayson stood there, his eyes gleaming triumphantly.
"Ah, Daniella," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "Welcome back to your new home."
I glared at him, trying to keep my fear from showing. "What do you want?" I demanded.
Grayson chuckled. "Oh, you'll find out soon enough," he said. "But for now... let's just say you'll be very comfortable here."
He gestured to the cell behind him, where two more wolves stood guarding.
"You're going to stay here until you learn to obey me," he said. "And when you do... well... let's just say you'll be thrilled."
Had Grayson done something to the quadruplets? I could not understand how Grayson could take on his quadruplet brothers. Everyone knew how powerful that Enigma was. I could not help but wonder if he was lying. A flicker of hope washed over me that perhaps they would rescue me.
Rylan, Rio, Enzo and Edward would come back for me. Even after everything that had gone on between us, I was still someone important in their pack.
“I've changed my mind; you will mate with me tonight. Let's go.” he yanked my arm and ignored my cries of pain. He pulled me out of the cell and up the stairs until we reached the central part of the packhouse. Grayson had entirely gone off the rails.
I desperately looked around for my parents, but they weren't anywhere. Where the hell was everyone else?
“Get in here,” Grayson growled as he threw me into his father's office.
As I tried to process what was happening, I heard the sound of footsteps outside.
“Now you will listen to me,” Grayson growled as he unbuttoned his shirt.
I stood up, my heart racing with hope. Could it be one of the quadruplets returning?
The door creaked open, and Rylan stood there, eyes scanning the room. He looked around frantically, his gaze locking onto me.
"Daniella!" he exclaimed, rushing towards me. “Grayson, what the hell have you done? You stupid idiot.” he thundered.
I felt a wave of relief wash over me. It was Rylan! He had come for me!
"Ah-ah, no," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "You're not taking her anywhere."
Rylan's eyes narrowed. "Let her go, Grayson," he growled.
Grayson chuckled. "Oh, no. She's mine now. And you're not going to take her away from me."
Rylan's eyes flashed with anger, and he took a step forward.
"You're not going to hurt her," he snarled.
Grayson smiled. "Oh, but I already have," he said, eyes glinting with cruelty.
Rylan's face twisted with rage, and he launched himself at Grayson.
I watched in horror as the two of them clashed, their snarls and growls filling the air.
“Back Down, brother. You will regret crossing us.” Rio and the other three appeared, causing Grayson to growl and step backwards. He knew that he was no match for his quadruplet brothers.
Grayson turned to me, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
"You see, Daniella," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "Not even my brothers wanted you. They wanted a lowly omega. Not you, the beta daughter. So You're mine now. And no one is going to take you away from me. Not Rylan, not Rio or the dumb twosome, not even my mother or my father...” he said.
Rylan roared with laughter, causing Grayson to look confused and irritated.
“You might think again about the last part of that sentence, my boy.” a deep voice boomed from the down hallway.
Alpha Theron?
