Kidnapped
Mrs Haward sat in silence after hearing Mirenda's words and felt a bit of pain in her heart. She hated the man that got her pregnant and her problem with Mirenda is her presence constantly reminded her of that awful night. She shut her eyes briefly and brushed it off. Mrs Haward sat in silence ignoring Mirenda entirely. James entered the living room shortly after Mirenda had left.
"Mum, what is going on? Mirenda said something I didn't understand," James asked making Mrs Haward raise her head to look at him.
"We wanted her out of the house and now she is out of the house, does it matter what I told her to make her leave?" Mrs Haward asked and James pursed his lips seeing her point. "Now let's get to business. You can move Fiona in. I know how to get rid of the pregnancy," she said.
"Sure, I will call her tomorrow," James said. "But where are you keeping Julia?" he asked.
"Why? Do you want to replace her pregnancy which you destroyed?" asked Mrs Haward making James raise his brow surprised.
"Julia was pregnant?" James asked.
Veronica, whom Jason assigned to Julia to attend to her needs when she first moved in with him, heard what James had asked when she was about to enter the living room space. She quickly retrieved her steps and listened in for a while. She went out of the kitchen into her room. She fetched her phone and called Jason.
"Sir, I think ma'am is keeping your wife somewhere," Veronica said on the phone as soon as the call connected. "I will do my best sir," she replied and quickly ended the call, and exited her room ensuring no one saw or heard her.
Veronica realized James and Mrs Haward were no longer in the living room. She continued with her work praying Jason would be able to do something with the information she had given him.
Back on the road, Jason and Henry had arrived at the location the tracker led them to. It was a children's park. Jason got out following the tracker only to find Julia's earrings lying on a bench in the park. He had already concluded in his mind Julia had been kidnapped again. He was suspecting James when Veronica's call came to confirm his suspicion. He returned to the car and sat down next to Henry.
"My mum took her," Jason announced.
"What!" reacted Henry. "But why?" he asked.
"To get me?" replied Jason.
Henry sat in silence not sure what to say. His phone rang and he quickly checked it. It was Mirenda. He answered and brought the phone to his ears while they were still parked at the children's park.
"Slow down and calm down," Henry said but Jason was still looking outside lost in his thought.
"Sure, I am out with Jason. Julia is missing. You go to my apartment and wait for me there. The security man will let you in," Henry replied and the call ended. "Yes, Mirenda also confirms it. Your stepmother has Julia. So what are we going to do now?" he asked.
Jason without replying to Henry's question pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialled a number.
"My wife has been kidnapped. I need you to find her immediately. Use all the available contacts. Do it discretely," Jason said and ended the call.
"Should we go to your apartment at Southwest Ranches?" Henry asked.
"No, let's go back to the hotel so you can go look after Mirenda she sounded very upset on the phone. I will continue the search with Peter," replied Jason and Henry nodded.
They drove back to the hotel. It was already past midnight at the time they arrived and Henry drove out of the hotel towards his apartment.
Jason stood at the hotel entrance for a while before entering. He didn't go up to his office but walked past the receptionist who was dosing off but quickly composed himself upon hearing someone walking past the reception. Jason exited the hotel using the other exit, went around the hotel and used the back road exit. He walked down the street and made a turn to join the road heading back to the main hotel entrance. He had his eyes on a strange black car parked just a couple of distances away from the hotel. He quickly sent a message to someone on his phone before proceeding to where the car was parked which was just a couple of walks away from where he made his appearance on the street. He knocked on the screen and the person rolled it down.
"This place is not a parking zone so what are you doing here for hours?" Jason asked and the person raised his brow wondering how Jason had known he had been there for hours.
The person in the car had earlier sent a message to Mrs Haward that Jason was back at the hotel and she had replied instructing him to kill Jason if he got the chance. He smiled feeling this was the chance.
Jason heard the car door unlock so he took a step back realizing the man behind the wheel was going to step out of the car but he rather hit him with the car door. Jason lost his balance and fell to the ground. The man quickly got out of the car and started kicking and hitting Jason. Jason took one to two hits and he dodged his third hit causing him to lose balance. Jason aided him to fall flat to the ground by kicking the back of his leg as he got up from the ground. Jason was on his feet in a defensive stance.
The man got up and also positioned himself to fight Jason. The man jumped to kick Jason in the face but Jason did a double jump and ended up kicking the man on his side. Upon landing on the ground, he gave him a back kick too, slamming the man into his car. Jason quickly advanced towards him before he could recover from the hit and held him by his collar landing multiple punches on the man's face. His eyes swelled up immediately and his nose started bleeding.
"Where is Julia?" Jason questioned him after he felt he had given the man enough punches.
"I don't know who the fuck is Julia?" replied the man spitting blood out of his mouth.
Jason landed another punch to his face.
"Don't make me ask you the third time. Where is Julia?" Jason asked.
The man just stared at him with his swollen eye and bleeding noise and started laughing making Jason frown deeply but before Jason could figure out what was happening he felt a sharp pain on his side. He shifted his gaze to the place of pain and realized the man had stabbed his side with a pen knife. Jason pulled the man up making him stand to his feet and he delivered a double knee punch to his groin causing him to bend over in pain. Jason spun and kicked him on his jaw causing the man to lose some teeth as he fell to the ground. A police car arrived at the scene and the officer got out of the car.
"Take him away and do whatever it takes to get the location of my wife out of his mouth," Jason said and pulled the knife from his side and threw it to the ground.
The officer dragged the man who had passed out into his car and drove off as Jason walked back to the hotel. Jason was in a black suit so no one noticed anything as he entered the elevator and went up to his office. He quickly went into his bedroom in the office and got the first aid kit out of the cabinet. Taking off his top, he quickly attended to his wound and put a bandage on it. Looking at his reflection in the mirror he realized he had always treated himself at home just to avoid female nurses coming close to him.
At Southwest Ranches City, 6th floor of the apartment, James was on the call with Fiona.
"How are you?" James asked.
"I am good. I thought you would never call me?" Fiona whined.
"Awww, why would I not call? I miss you," James replied.
"I miss you too," Fiona responded.
"I gave our discussion a thought and I want you to come and stay with me," James proposed.
Fiona knew James was staying with his mother.
"Is your mother going to be there too?" Fiona asked staring at Vera with a confused expression.
"Yes, I already told her. She didn't agree at first but when I told her you were carrying my child she agreed to let you come stay with me," James explained.
"He wants me to come and stay with him and his mother at the Southwest Ranches City. That wasn't in our plan, should I agree?" Fiona asked Vera after covering the mouthpiece of the phone with her hand.
"Yes," replied Vera.
"I don't know if this is a good idea but if you say so," replied Fiona.
"Great, I will pick you up and by the way what are you still doing awake?" James asked with a smile as everything was going according to his plan.
"I went to use the washroom, that was when your call came through," Fiona lied.
"Can we have a video call, I want to see you," James requested having dirty thoughts.
Fiona immediately tensed up, James had been to her apartment multiple times. If she turns on her video, he will know she is not at her apartment.
