New CEO Arrives
The long-anticipated day finally arrived and Mrs Haward got ready to go to Paradise Hotel to start her new role as Acting CEO. If she can impress Mr Wellington, he will confirm her as the new CEO. If Jason keeps rising she will also not stop until he stays on the ground where he belongs.
Mrs Haward looks at herself in the mirror and smiles before leaving her room. The guard was waiting for her in the living room. She just gave her bag to him and headed for the door. The guard followed her out. After a few minutes' drive, they arrive at the Hotel. Just in time to see Jason exit the building.
"Well, well, well, isn't it the scammer," Mrs Haward said with a sinister smile.
"Nice to see you too, mum," greeted Jason.
"I didn't come to see you. I am here because I am taking over your company," Mrs Haward said and laughed. "Isn't that exciting?" she said and Jason stared at her quietly.
"Is there anything you want to say to me, mum?" Jason asked.
Before Mrs Haward could respond Peter also exited the building joining the two.
"Boss..." Peter began and paused seeing Mrs Haward.
"Good morning, Mrs Haward, here for any of our services," Peter asked pretending he didn't know anything.
"That is strange but judging by Jason's secretive nature I am not too surprised you don't know. I am taking over this company, starting today, so you two better clear your tables and leave. Jason knows that. See, he is already carrying his stuff," Mrs Haward said sternly with a sinister smile.
Peter raised his eyebrow and dropped his jaw acting shocked.
"Oh!, ha ha ha, you didn't know. I am happy to share this news with you, now out of my way," Mrs Haward said and pushed Peter to the side walking past the two into the building.
"Well done," Jason praised and continued walking towards the parking lot.
Peter smiled and followed. Just before Peter entered the car he gave the Hotel one last look before getting behind the wheel.
"Sir, your wife will be reporting to work at noon today, does she know today is your last working day?" Peter asked very worried about Julia with Mrs Haward as the new owner.
"No, she doesn't," replied Jason coldly.
"Sir, don't you think we need to tell her?" Peter asked.
"Peter, it's part of the plan, let's go," Jason instructed.
"Yes sir," Peter responded and started the engine driving out of the compound.
Inside the hotel, Mrs Haward was received by Andrews and led to what used to be Peter's office.
"This place will be your office. Feel free to make changes to your taste. I will be in the office behind you if you need me," Andrews said and smiled before exiting the room.
Mrs Haward scanned the room and sat behind the desk, reading the document on the table. Mr Wellington was inside Jason's office looking at her on the monitor.
"Let the game begin," Mr Wellington said on his lips as he watched Mrs Haward on the screen reading the documents on the table. He increased the volume to ensure the listening device was working fine.
Back at Henry's apartment, Mirenda was up and dressed up, ready to leave the apartment. Henry opened his eyes and saw her putting on some perfume.
"Going out?" Henry said and Mirenda turned to look at him.
Mirenda got up from behind the dressing table and went to kiss Henry good morning.
"Yeah, remember what I told you last night? I am working on it now," Mirenda said.
"Oh, you are getting back the family condo?" Henry asked.
"Yes, my father wanted to get it for me and since he couldn't do that before his passing he left me with enough money to do that. It becomes my inheritance if I complete the process and buy it like he had wanted to do," Mirenda explained.
"How much," Henry asked.
"Hmm, somewhere around three million," Mirenda replied.
"And your father left you that much knowing you are not his daughter," Henry asked.
"Yeah, either that or he never got the chance to change his will," Mirenda replied nonchalantly.
"Do you know what you just said?" Henry asked making her pause whatever she was doing to recall her statement.
"I don't know what I just said," Mirenda finally spoke after thinking it through and not getting anything.
"How did your father die again?" Henry asked.
"He had cancer," Mirenda replied and Henry replied with a 'hmmm'. "I will be right back," she said and kissed Henry before exiting the room.
Henry just lay back on the bed thinking about Mirenda. She is a beautiful soul and that alone makes her perfect. He started reminiscing about their wonderful night together.
"I am definitely making you my wife Mirenda," Henry thought with a smile and turned to lie on his side covering himself with the sheets.
Back at the Hawards' apartment, James got ready to go to the office. He gave himself one last look in the mirror before stepping out of the room and running into Mori in the living room.
"Out to find a new woman since you got your bed warmer arrested?" teased Mori.
"I am going to the office," James replied with a frown.
"Oh! You are out of money," Mori teased again.
"Unlike you, I have a real job," James replied.
"Yeah, as a money spender and a hooker," Mori replied and sat down on the sofa.
James walked towards her and holding her hand, pulled her up from the seat into his arms.
"Boundaries, James," Mori warned.
James was so close, she could feel his breath on her face.
"Know your play limits," James said and kissed her lips.
Veronica walked in on them and quietly returned to the kitchen before they could notice her presence.
Mori struggled in James's arms and finally broke away from the kiss pushing him away and cleaning her lips with the back of her hand.
"Don't ever do that again," Mori warned with a frown making the side of James's lips curled upwards.
"You struggle in my arms but your lips and body said something else. I will see you in the evening," James said with a sinister smile.
"Disgusting," Mori growled exiting the living room into her bedroom.
Inside her room, she leaned behind her closed door and touched her lips recalling the kiss, both annoyed and yearning for more.
"Focus Mori. Mrs Haward will kill you if you get involved with her son," Mori said and headed for the bathroom.
Back at Paradise Hotel, 11. 30 a.m., Julia walked into the building, greeted the receptionist and proceeded into the changing room. She stepped out of the room to move to the restaurant when she came face-to-face with Mrs Haward.
She jumped upon seeing her and her hands flew to her chest but she composed herself.
"Can I help you with anything?" Julia asked.
"Help me with anything?" Mrs Haward repeated and laughed. "What you should be asking me is if you can keep your job here," she said surprising Julia.
"Awww, Jason didn't tell you? He lost his job today. I am Paradise Hotel's new owner," Mrs Haward said to her.
Julia opened her mouth but words could not come out.
"O sweety, you didn't know. Jason didn't tell you?" Mrs Haward asked and Julia stared at her with mouth open.
"You keep trusting him and he keeps letting you down. Ask yourself one question, why didn't he tell you today is his last working day and he had signed ownership of this Hotel to me?" Mrs Haward asked and folded her arms across her chest.
Julia stood there dumbfounded.
"O dear, how many times do I need to save you from Jason? Love is sometimes bad, isn't it? I will let you keep your job here....." Mrs Haward said moving her eyes from Julia's face to her legs and back to her face.
"As a waitress," Mrs Haward completed her statement and left Julia.
Julia stood there for a while before going back into the changing room. She opened her locker, fetched her phone from her bag and dialled Jason's number but she hit his voicemail. She tried again and again but it kept going to voicemail. She gave up and sat down on the provided chair in the changing room.
Mr Wellington was in his office and saw everything that happened. He called the receptionist and asked him to ask Julia to come upstairs to his office which he obliged.
"Ms Harrison, the new boss wants to see you," the receptionist informed her.
Julia thought it was Mrs Haward looking for her. She sat down for a while and left the room heading upstairs. She knocked on the door and entered but was surprised to see Mr Wellington as he was not the one she was expecting to see.
"What is going on?" Julia asked.
"Sit down Julia," Mr Wellington said pointing to the seat in front of his desk.
Julia pulled the chair and sat down waiting to hear what he had to say to her.
