"So the end of the month, which is four days from now, you will start your role as Acting CEO of Paradise Hotel," Mr Wellington announced and Mrs Haward grinned inside as she controlled her smiles on the outside.
The meeting came to an end and they both left for their respective destinations. Mr Wellington went to Jason's apartment to wait for him. Mrs Haward arrived home with the good news and the celebration began.
"CEO of Paradise Hotel," praised Mori.
"This news will hit Jason like a fist blow when he hears it. He doesn't know Mr Wellington meets with you right?" asked James.
"No, Mr Wellington is not the type to tell everyone about what he is doing," replied Mrs Haward.
"I think it makes sense to play my favourite music," Mori said and quickly moved to the stereo.
She hit play and the living room was soon filled with the song, Holiday by Madonna. She started swaying her waist to the rhythm of the song. James just watched her stunned by her dance moves.
"I didn't know you could dance like that," James admired.
"I used to take a dance lesson when I was younger," Mori replied.
"It will be great to learn some moves from you," James said and also decided to join in the dance.
"You got some great moves yourself," praised Mori.
"I am too old for this, I will just drink my wine," Mrs Haward said.
"No," James and Mori said in unison.
They both walked towards Mrs Haward. Mori took the drink from her hand and James pulled her up from the seat.
"Now we all dance," Mori said and they pulled Mrs Haward into their midst and made her join their dance.
As they celebrated, Jason was still in his office on a call with someone.
"Good, good, send everything to my email. Remember, do it discretely and keep me updated on everything and keep records of everything," Jason said on the call.
The call ended after a few minutes and Jason turned his laptop back on and opened his email. A mail dropped into his inbox a few minutes later. He opened it and downloaded all the attachments saving them on his pen drive. He started going through the attachments one after the other. Once he was done going through all the attachments he forwarded them to another email and dialled the person's number on his phone.
"I have sent you an email. Have you received it?" Jason asked. "Great, you know what to do," he added and disconnected the call.
He turned off the laptop and placed it in his bag. He got up from behind his desk, carried his bag and exited the office. He went down to the ground floor and exited the Hotel after saying goodnight to the night-shift receptionist. Peter was inside the car waiting for him. Once he sat down he brought the engine to live and drove out of the Hotel's compound back to his apartment in Melbourne. It was past 10 p.m. when he arrived at his apartment. Julia who had been home since 6 p.m. was already asleep.
"I was waiting to see you," Mr Wellington said as soon as Jason entered the living room. "How did it go at the office today?" he asked.
"All good, your men are picking up very fast. I have already started engaging a very good and trustworthy officer of the law. I am taking everything back," Jason announced.
"That is great. The meeting went well. She will be announced acting CEO four days from now," shared Mr Wellington.
"Great, that is all I need," Jason replied and got up from the sofa. "I am going to bed now, I will be waking up very early tomorrow," he informed Mr Wellington.
"Sure, good night son," Mr Wellington said to him and got up to leave but was approached by one of the servants who informed him, his room was ready.
Mr Wellington smiled and agreed to spend the night in Jason's apartment. Jason went straight to the bathroom. Upon entering the bedroom, he changed into something more comfortable after his shower. He climbed into bed and Julia feeling his presence just turned to lay in his arms. Jason smiled and kissed the top of her head after which he wrapped his arms around her in a more comfortable way.
Back at Henry's, Mirenda was sitting on the bed chatting with Henry who was sitting next to her and resting his back on the bed headboard.
"I really appreciate you inviting Jason over. He made me remember who I am and now I intend to undo some of the things I helped my mum do," Mirenda said.
"Glad I could help and I am happy it helped you. Now you look very beautiful," Henry said with a smile.
"Thank you. I have a few things I need to do," Mirenda said with a smile.
"What are they?" Henry asked.
"I am getting the condo back. We lied to Jason. My dad had plans to buy the condo from the owner. I loved that condo growing up so he gave it to me. I allow my mum to play with my head. I am going to get it back" she said.
"Wait the condo was rented?" asked Henry.
"Yes, but my dad wanted to buy it for me but he passed on and couldn't do that. So now he wanted me to complete his request for him," Mirenda replied.
"Sounds good," Henry acknowledged.
"My dad left a lot of money for that," Mirenda said and leaned in towards Henry. "Don't tell Jason I want it to be a surprise for him," she said and Henry smiled agreeing to her request.
Henry leaned in and kissed her. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him responding to his kisses.
Back at the Hawards, the celebration had died off. They all retired to their rooms and the servants were left to clean the mess they created.
Veronica saw to it that the living room was well-cleaned as she was already aware of how terrible Mrs Haward treated all of them If things were not done the way she wanted. Deep down she wished in her heart that Jason would come back and take his apartment. They continue to clean
