The Ruthless Alpha's Innocent Breeder

Chapter 20

Ch. 20 / 140 Jan 12, 2026

Eero's perspective

"Why did you have to bring him here, Alpha?" I asked, finally breaking the silence that had been swirling between the two of us for more than thirty minutes since we got back from the greenlight forest.

"I hate him. I hate that man. He betrayed me. He was one of the few people that I trusted with all of my heart, but he broke me, and until now, I am still suffering because of him." In time, I felt a certain warmth in my eyes. Beads of tears fell.

Alpha Claudius sashayed his way towards me. He hid me in his arms. It felt as if for the first time, I finally met someone who'd burn the whole world and the people in it just because they have been cruel to me.

"You should have let him die in that forest. You should have let another rogue kill him," I said in a loud voice, but my sobs were starting to choke me.

"But he knows something about you. I know that he is telling the truth. Whatever it is, you must know. I must find it out too. That is the only reason why I brought him here."

I shook my head at the Alpha as I balled my fist while I was holding the soft fabric of his shirt.

"It doesn't matter. Whatever it is that he found out about me, I no longer care about that. I just want him dead," I said.

Alpha Claudius cupped my cheeks, locking our gazes.

"If that's what you want, then he will die after we hear about the secret that he found out."

Hearing that brought me back to reality. The silence between the two of us gave me time to think if that's what I really wanted for him.

"N-No. I don't want you to kill him. I-I don't want him dead. I just want him out of my life," I said, this time. I was way more sure with things that were coming out of my lips.

"Exactly what I thought," he murmured before I felt him damp a soft kiss against my forehead.

"Alpha, oh shit-I am sorry about that, Alpha. Do you need more time with her?" Beta Caspian, who walked in on us, being so sweet, instantly turned his back but stilled in his spot.

I was the one who initiated a distance between Alpha Claudius and me.

"N-No. We are good. How is he?"

Beta Caspian sighed out of relief after he faced us.

"Your mate." He started, but quickly shut his lips after he saw the look that Claudius had given him.

"Cohen, I mean. Our doctor treated his wounds, and they made him drink something that would help him have a little of his strength back. In other words, you are free to talk to him now."

As soon as Cohen saw me walk to the room where he was brought to rest and recover, He stood up beaming, a thrilled and delighted smile on his lips.

"And where do you think you are going? You better stay in your fucking place, or I will snap your neck and feed it to the wild animals back in the forest," Alpha Claudius said.

"Don't you dare look at her as if she is still yours too," Beta Caspian added.

Even at his lowest and weakest point, Cohen couldn't help but speak arrogantly.

"I would look at my mate the way I want to. She is my mate. She is mine!"

"Say that again," Alpha Claudius said in between gritted teeth.

The look on his face reminded me of the one he was wearing before he snapped his warrior's head in the night when he forced himself on me.

I clung to his arm and shook my head at him.

Cohen chuckled bitterly after he saw the Alpha calmed a bit per my words and request.

"Did you hit your head? I felt our bond fading when I left our pack to come here. You rejected me. I no longer belong to you." My voice was shaking in so much anger.

Cohen bent his knees. He pressed his palms against each other and begged.

"I am sorry. I was an asshole for cheating, but it was because Serra tempted me, and I am just a man. I have my needs, and you were not yet ready to give it to me, but she was."

"If all that you are going to tell me is the detail of your affair, I'd rather have that tongue of your cut-off."

His eyes widened, but sighed out of relief when he realized that none of the Alpha's delta moved an inch from their spot.

"Our bond faded a bit, but it's still there. I know that you can't feel it."

I remained silent. Though my wolf no longer rejected Claudius, mine could still feel something for Cohen's.

"I was kicked out of my pack and my claim as the next Alpha was stolen from me because our bond lingers and exists. You having sex with Alpha Claudius is the reason I became this weak."

"Really? You are blaming me for the karma that you got for everything that you did to me?"

"No! No! Of course not. I am not blaming you, baby. Listen to me, okay? You are not Alpha Ameo and Luna Vera's biological daughter because you are not from their lineage. My rejection of you as my mate failed... b-but, but I realized everything that I did was wrong. T-Take me back, Eero. I need you back in my life. We can still fix us."

I nodded my head in agreement and in the corner of my eyes, I saw how the Alpha silently reacted to what I did.

"We can fix this. I'll pick this." I turned to Alpha Claudius.

"Will you let me go back to my old pack? I need to know the truth about who my real parents are... so I can finally end this connection that I still have with Cohen."

"Of course, my little wolf. I'll even go with you. We won't leave that place until we find out the truth about you and your parents."
