Eero’s perspective
“Why is it so hard to get rid of you, Eero? Didn't you literally jump off the cliff?”
Serra glanced at me before she continued to drag me to the dungeon while holding my hair.
“You should have died back then. We sent you to the Blood Moon Pack to become a breeder and yet you were marked by the Alpha?” Her hand remained on the strand of my hair, while the other one was busy unlocking the gate of the dungeon.
After she got it open, Serra wasted no time. She pushed me inside the dungeon, and quickly locked the cell.
“You have been lucky enough these few months and days. I think you've dried out your luck, and won't get anything for the rest of your life.”
Serra taunted me. Her anger was over-flowing. I couldn't even understand why she was this mad at me. I didn't think I had done anything that could make her this resentful towards me.
“Welcome to your new kingdom, Luna,” Serra said in a taunting manner. She even did a fake curtsy, as if it would hurt me even more.
“Tell me, Serra. Why do you hate me so much? Have I offended you in any way that makes you take me as your enemy?”
Serra placed both of her palms against her knee as she crouched.
She was staring at me with a soft eye, but that was because she intended to mock me.
“Do you want to know why I hate you?” She asked. I didn't say anything back and just patiently waited for her to spill her reason.
Serra laughed so hard that her head fell back, and then she stopped laughing. The softness in her eyes faded too.
“Just because,” she said those two words as her sole reason.
“I didn't know why I hate you this much, Eero. I didn't even know that I could be this hateful.”
“That face of yours that easily charms any man in the room makes my blood boil. I hate you. If I am being honest, the mere fact that you are breathing enrages me.”
“Tiring, isn't it? Spending each day of your life loathing me. Guarding me with those spy eyes of yours just so you can call me out with the tiniest mistake that I commit.”
“You know what. I pity you. My heart hurts for the way you have lived your life. I don't even think that you've enjoyed a bit of your life. How can you? Your nose was always stacked up in my business.”
My insides gasped in shock after she held the iron bars of my cell, shaking it because my words made her furious even more.
“You pity me, huh?" She asked threateningly.
“Let me show you whom you should be feeling pity for,” she said.
Serra closed her eyes. After becoming Alpha Claudius' mate, he and his pack members were the only ones whom I can speak to through mind link. I lost the ability to talk to anyone from Moon Rivers Pack through my head, but I knew what was happening right at this moment.
Serra was communicating to their people through mind link.
Within a blink of an eye, women about her age and older were now standing behind her.
“Beat that bitch up. I want you to ruin her face to the extent that even when she recovered from all those bruises and wounds, she'd look nothing like she was before,” she said really slowly.
Serra handed the key to my dungeon to one of those women, and then she took a step back.
My arm quickly moved to cover my face as all those women finally got inside the dungeon.
The first woman who slapped me made a cut on the corner of my lips. Everyone cheered for what she did and Serra was laughing at the back, enjoying the show.
“Go! Beat that dirty whore up!” She urged them even more.
A kick landed on my guts. It was so strong that for a moment I couldn't breathe. Lying on the cold floor of the dungeon, I curled up in a fetus position, just so I could somehow protect myself.
I received countless punches and kicks. Someone was dragging my hair, pulling a big number of strands from my scalp when we both heard a familiar howl that made everyone freeze and stop from beating me.
“Serra, what the fuck did you do again?” Alpha Ameo asked his only daughter.
“Why me? You saw me just standing here. I’m not the one who beat that breeder up.”
I didn't dare to move. I was too weak to do so, and my whole body was hurting.
I closed my eyes and pretended that I passed out. Alpha Ameo then carried me out of the dungeon himself. I heard his wife scoffed, but their scents told me that they were following us.
My eyes remained closed even after I was laid on the soft mattress of my bed.
“Will you stop acting like you really care about her? You're just after her power! We can still use her power without you doing all of this.”
“Leave her room, Vera,” Alpha Ameo commanded his wife, but she didn't back down.
“Do you want to know why I hate that woman and why I need to make sure that you hate her too?” She asked.
I felt the Alpha stood up straight as he faced with her wife and mate.
“I saw the way you looked at Eero's mother. I may be your mate, but you are in love with her.” I kept still. I couldn’t let them know that I was still awake, so I could hear more of this conversation.
“I always knew that Eero would grow up looking like her mother, and you will be swooned by her beauty. So I had to make sure that you'll end up hating her, or you'll wife her up and get rid of me!”
