Serra’s perspective
I dried tears off my cheeks and slowly stood up from the cold floor of our kitchen as the Beta of the Blood Moon Pack vanished from my eyes.
“I really didn't mean to hurt him. I was just doing everything that I can to stop him from rejecting me,” I said, convincing myself that none of this was my fault. If only he listened to me, then none of this would have happened.
My wolf could feel how badly hurt he was and if he won't get treated right away then something might happen to him.
Even when I was feeling anxious, I took the very same path that he took, and it leads me to the second floor, to Eero's room specifically.
The door to her room was left half-opened. Caspian was sitting on the bed. Eero was holding his wounded hand. I was about to fully open the door to let them know about my presence when the fresh wound around his pulse healed.
My eyes couldn't believe with what I saw. It felt like my eyes were fooling me. I closed and rubbed it and then upon opening, I squinted only to realize that I didn't see it wrong.
The wound on Caspian's pulse is now fully healed. Eero healed it. I am not sure, how she did that, but I am certain that Eero was the one who healed him.
“She has a power to heal someone? Why didn't she tell us about it? If Daddy knows, then he'll never offer her to Alpha Claudius to become his breeder.” I thought to myself.
“W-What happened? What did I do?” Eero asked them confusedly. My forehead knotted. She, too, was bewildered, just like me and the two men who saw what happened.
Beta Caspian started to stretch his hand, inspecting it closely and then once confirmed that he can no longer feel any pain and the strength of his wolf was restored as well. He smiled at Eero.
“You healed me! You are one of the special wolves that the Moon Goddess granted a special gift.”
“Huh? I am sorry. I am perplexed. I can't understand anything.”
“Eero, you are a healer. You are no ordinary wolf. You are a special one,” Alpha Claudius told him and even when it's coming from his lips and Eero herself witnessed what happened. She still couldn't believe it, and so do I.
Before any of them notices my presence, I walked inside my room. Biting my fingernails as I anxiously paced on the floor of my room.
I heard myself groaning in annoyance, I was even stomping my feet.
“How can she have a special ability like that when she is just a daughter of an ousted and rogue she-wolf? The Moon Goddess should have granted that ability to me, and not to her.”
I breathed deeply and finally stopped walking as I figured out what to do with the information that I just got.
“My parents need to hear about this, and I am confident that they will deal with Eero themselves.” I nodded my head after I have managed to convince myself that it's the right thing to do.
I was already holding the doorknob to open the door when a small voice argued with me in my head.
“What if they suddenly regret that I am their real daughter instead of Eero because of this?”
I lightly shake my head to shove that thought off my head.
“I should not think like that. I am my parent's only daughter. They love me the most. They will never regret having me as their daughter instead of Eero, regardless if she was gifted with a special ability,” I said, and I somehow fully convinced myself that my parents feel that way towards me.
I went to check on the master's bedroom, but found no one. The only place for me to see was my father's office and study room.
I knocked on the door of his office before I opened it myself.
Anger flashed in his eyes, reminding me that we still haven't talked about what happened earlier.
“Where the hell have you been, Serra?” I flinched in pain as my father tightly held my arm, but like what usually happens. My mother quickly rescued me from his anger.
“Why are you getting mad at her? It wasn't our daughter's fault. It's Cohen! He is the one who told Eero and Alpha Claudius the truth.”
Alpha Ameo calmed a bit after hearing that from my mother.
“Still. Serra should have told us that she already knew the truth about Eero. She should have informed us that Cohen knew too.”
“So you will do what? Kill Cohen?”
“Yes, if that's what it takes to keep that secret.”
"Stop being upset over something that already happened,” Luna Vera murmured.
“What are you doing here? Where is Leo?” My father asked.
“Are you perhaps dating the new Alpha of the Red Moon Pack?” He inquired.
“He asked me to be his Luna.”
“Really? He is far better than Cohen. You should have said yes. What did you tell him?”
“Did you tell him that you will marry him?” My parents bombarded me with questions that easily overwhelmed me.
“No. I am not going to accept his proposal. I already found my mate and I chose to be with him.”
“You found who and chose to do what?” Alpha Ameo asked using a calm, but disappointed voice.
“Who is this mate of yours, Serra? And why would you choose him over an Alpha? Unless he is an Alpha himself.”
“Caspian Amadeus was my mate, but he hates me. He tried to reject me, but failed because I bit him.”
“Have you gone mad? Why would you attack the beta of Blood Moon? Do you want us to get killed?
“You need to listen to me first and thank me because I did that to Caspian."
“What the hell are you on about, Serra?”
“Eero healed him. She healed his wound. Eero has a special ability, Alpha. She can heal anyone. I saw her heal him with my own eyes.”
