The Ruthless Alpha's Innocent Breeder

Chapter 39

Ch. 39 / 140 Jan 12, 2026

Eero’s perspective

“Shut up, Vera! I don't know what you are talking about. Eero is young enough to be my daughter!” Alpha Ameo growled at Luna Vera and all that he got in return was a mocking laugh.

“I know you. It doesn't matter if she is young enough to be your daughter. That won't change the fact that once you've gotten an opportunity to make Eero your wife, you will!”

I badly wanted to open my eyes to see what was happening, but I knew better than to do that.

“Vera, what the hell are you talking about? Where are these nonsensical ideas coming from?”

“Are they really nonsensical, huh, Alpha Ameo?” She asked. Judging from the situation, I could tell that Luna Vera wouldn't drop this topic any time soon. It was like all of these had been bottled inside of her and now was the time that she can finally let it out.

“Have you forgotten that I was her mother's best friend? You used to ask me to deliver flowers and love letters to her.”

“Vera, I said, stop it!”

“Even when we both turned eighteen and found out that we were each other's mate, you still had love for Florence.”

My forehead knotted. All this information was drowning me. I was confused. I just couldn’t process all of this.

If Luna Vera was my mother's best friend, it meant she lied to me before. My mother wasn't an exiled rogue. She belonged to this very same pack.

Was that why some old members of this pack stared at me as if my face reminded them of someone?

And if my mother was, in fact, from this pack, why did they lie about finding her in the middle of the forest when she was on the verge of death? I just couldn't get it.

“If Florence didn't find her mate at that time, you would have rejected me as your mate and continued to pursue her.”

I opened my eyes a bit for a quick second. Alpha Ameo grabbed the Luna by her arm. It should have been making her wince in pain, but she was so mad that she couldn't even feel that Alpha Ameo was close to crushing all the bones in her arms.

“When you found out that Florence's mate was no other than Pierce, the true Alpha of this pack, I was the only one who got your back.” Luna Vera paused.

“Have you forgotten what you owe to me?”

“I owe you nothing, Vera. I challenged Pierce with his ruling rights, and he lost to me.”

“He lost to you because I helped you. Remember how I put a wolf's bane in his drink before your battle with him started?”

“You are an Alpha now because of me! I made you an Alpha. You fucking owe everything to me!”

“And to make sure that Pierce's father would give you the ruling right, that he would never question your victory, I went as far as framing Pierce to make it look like he was planning to kill his father with the help of Florence!”

Luna Vera suddenly stopped talking. It felt like she realized that she had said something that she wasn't supposed to tell the Alpha in the first place.

“You did that? You are the reason Alpha Miller executed Florence?!” Alpha Ameo asked in between gritted teeth.

“I…I did… and so what? I had to make sure that I'll get my piece of your victory. If I let Florence live, I know you'd take her back when she comes to you. And you would abandon me—”

I suddenly heard a loud thud and a sound coming out from Luna Vera as she was struggling to breathe. Alpha Ameo was choking her, but she managed to kick him on his balls and push the Alpha away from herself.

“I’ve never spent a day regretting what I did to Florence. When you took Eero and raised her as your daughter, I got the confirmation that I needed. Isn't that the last act of kindness that you did for Florence?” she asked.

“Taking care of her daughter. Just because you love her so much!” Luna Vera mocked once more.

“Poor you! You couldn't have Florence before and you couldn’t have the woman who looks exactly like her now!” As they could no longer see my eyes open from where they stood now, I had the freedom to watch them.

Luna Vera taunted Alpha Ameo with her forefinger.

“I am watching you. If I see any hint that you want to make Eero your wife, I am going to kill her, and you'd suffer the same pain when Florence died.”

“What the fuck is wrong with you, Vera? You're being paranoid! Did you really think that I would do that?!” Alpha Ameo hissed at her.

“Do you really want me to answer your stupid question?!”

“Shut that mouth of yours. I don't want anyone else to find out about this, you heard me? Especially Eero,” he said.

In time with Alpha Ameo turning his head towards my direction, I closed my eyes and acted as if I was still unconscious.

“My feelings for Florence were long gone, and I know that Eero is not her. I don't know what’s wrong with you. But next time you threw vile accusations against me…” I heard him take a step closer to Luna Vera.

“I'll have you punished and you can't blame me for not letting it slide the second time around. Because I’ve warned you,” Alpha Ameo said before he dragged the Luna out of my room, closing the door.

I quickly opened my eyes and sat up.

“My father was the true Alpha of the pack. It means that I was born with a right to rule this pack. I, instead of Serra, should be the next Alpha of Moon Rivers.”
