Eero's perspective
Miss Cielo knocked on the closed door of the Alpha's room. After he had shown everyone the head of the warrior who tried to sleep with me, he dragged me into his house and straight into his room.
"Here dear. Take this and use it to clean the splashes of blood off the Alpha's face," she said. I looked at the basin filled with warm water and the clean towel, and then I found myself swallowing hard.
"Clean the Alpha's face? You want me to do it?" I asked her. I just needed to be sure in case my ear picked up her words in the wrong way.
"Yes. Help him change his clothes too," she mumbled while eyeing a familiar door inside the Alpha's room from where we were standing.
"That's his walk-in closet," she added.
"Do I really have to do this myself, Miss Cielo? I saw the look in his eyes. It's filled with rage." I moved closer to her and lowered my voice even more.
"I am afraid that I might do something wrong, and then the Alpha will get mad at me. What if he rips my head apart too?"
Miss Cielo smiled at me, "One thing I can assure you is that this will never happen."
"How can you be sure? Did you know that he once told me that he'll kill me if I kept being a pain in his ass?"
"Then you better not be a pain in his ass, and you will be alright."
"Miss Cielo-"
"Eero." Alpha Claudius called me. The two of us stared at the very same spot where I left the Alpha to open the door after Miss Cielo knocked.
I looked back at her, and the female butler was staring back at me with her eyes wider than usual.
"Go ahead and tend to the Alpha. He needs you now."
"But Miss Cielo..."
"This is part of your job as his breeder."
"Eero." The second time, the Alpha called me. Miss Cielo pushed me to go tend to the Alpha before he quickly ran out of patience. As I was walking back to where he was, I heard the door closed, and I couldn't help but steal a glance at it.
"What took you so long? Didn't you hear me the first time I called you?" His eyebrows were curled up while his lips were pursed in a thin line as he waited for me to give him an answer.
"I heard you. I just needed to ask things to Miss Cairo. I am sorry if I kept you waiting. It won't happen again," I said. He didn't say a thing, but the Alpha unceremoniously pulled his blood-stained shirt off his body that he threw straight to the floor.
The mere sight of his broad shoulders and bareback was enough to trigger something deep within me and made me go feral. I could feel my cheeks starting to warm up.
The Alpha suddenly turned to me with a questioning look.
Oh, no! He must have said something that I failed to hear, for his back-topless body distracted me for a while.
"I said I need a new shirt. Go get me a new shirt."
I wasted no time. I left the basin on the bedside table and just a few seconds later, I walked into his closet. I came out with a white shirt that I handed to him.
"Miss Cielo told me to help you clean the splashes of blood off your face," I mumbled with a shaking voice after he was fully dressed.
He looked down at me and at the basin on his bedside table.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Ha?" I closed my mouth for a moment, and then I stared at the edge of his bed.
"Do you want me to sit on my bed?"
"Y-Yes, Alpha. You are obviously taller than me, and I won't be able to reach your face to clean it when you are standing."
Not even a minute passed by after he sat on the bed, the Alpha looked up at me. Irritation started to fill his eyes as I took my time squeezing out some water from the towel that I soaked in the warm water in the basin.
I was holding my breath while I was cleaning his face with the towel. His eyes, which were watching me the whole time, were starting to hypnotize me. Once done, I found my finger trailing the bridge of his nose, and after I realized what I was doing, I stood up straight and was about to put a distance between the two of us, but the Alpha was quicker to snake his arm around my waist to pull me closer to him.
Was this it?
Was tonight going to be the night that I'd sleep with the Alpha as his breeder?
The Alpha was looking up at me with the use of his seductive eyes, but I didn't feel the same. Something was stopping me from giving in to him.
And so I asked a question to buy myself some time.
"Why do you need a breeder? Don't you have a mate? Everyone has one. Why didn't you choose to look for her? In that way, you'll have your pups, your pack will have its Luna, and you will have the love of your life."
"It will take a lot of time searching for my mate. I already tried, Eero, but I need heirs as soon as possible."
"But why? How old are you? I think you are still too young to be in a rush to have your set of heirs."
"You are asking way too much than you are allowed," he said, which made me close my lips.
"I am sorry, Alpha."
"But to answer your question, I am from the lineage of an Alpha King. I am the rightful Alpha of the three kingdoms of Arein. I will take back what's mine. I can... but before that, I need to have an heir of my own first, and then I can take back the throne that the Feroce has stolen from my family."
"Oh," I murmured.
"I didn't know that this was your reason, but now that I do, I'll try my best and give you an heir as soon as possible, Alpha."
