Eero's perspective
As the chaos escalated in the pack's great hall, Feline, in the heat of fury, attempted to hit Serra even harder after stripping her clothes off, but got stopped by Luna Vera.
I jolted in my spot when I felt a hand grabbed my arm, tugging me outside the hall.
“Where are you going to take me?” I asked the very same man who had handed the katana to Beta Caspian earlier.
“You're leaving with us.” His tone was ice-cold.
I looked at him, unsure whether I needed to fight back or not. Subconsciously, I stole a glance back at the hall, only to find Alpha Ameo and Luna Vera doing their best to protect Serra from Feline's attack.
“I-I haven't even said goodbye to my family yet. If you're taking me away with you, this will be the last time I see them. J-Just please let me say goodbye to them at least,” I bargained in a calm voice.
Annoyance flashed through the delta's brown eyes. He was about to drag me away to the double doors of the great hall when he let go of me all of a sudden.
“You will do what, Eero? Say goodbye to your family? Does it look like they care about you and your farewell?” Beta Caspian asked.
My heart skipped a beat as the delta took a step back.
Holding my chin, he looked in the direction where my eyes went. “Let me burst all the bubbles. For these people that you call family, they don't care about you. So let's just go.”
The next minute, I found myself dragged me out of the great hall by him. A black Rolls-Royce was waiting just outside the pack house of Moon River.
“Get in the car!” It wasn't him but his wolf that communicated with mine. My poor wolf was getting weaker with each moment passing by.
After I settled myself in the car, the beta got in as well, sitting next to the driver.
I didn't realize until the engine got started that their Alpha wouldn't be taking the same car.
I didn't even remember seeing him leave the great hall. But when the chaos broke loose, he was already gone.
Feeling a sudden pang in my chest, I clutched it.
“Are you all right?” The beta turned to ask me. He had been watching me through the rearview mirror.
I gritted my teeth and winced in pain as I could hear my wolf crying from inside.
The red string that bonded me and Cohen snapped right at this moment. As the tie to my mate got severed, my wolf was further hurt. I lost my ability to heal myself.
“What is happening to you, Eero?” He sounded anxious. “Drive as fast as you can. Ask a doctor to wait us in the manor!”
Those were the last words I heard before I shut my eyes, losing consciousness completely.
The sharp pain that attacked me all at once was too much for me to take. It felt like my wolf would eventually get killed by it.
“You sure she's just okay? It's been days, but she isn't waking up yet. It's a breeder that I need, not a patient that I have to take care of in person!”
The raspy voice of a man woke me up. Before opening my eyes, I'd realized to whom that voice belonged.
As I sat up from bed, the man in a white coat quickly came over to me. But I was quicker to shy away from him, retreating backward until I felt my back against the headboard.
“Your wolf is recovering, but I need to know how you feel right now.” The doctor asked gently while Alpha Claudius stood next to him.
I felt a lot better, but I couldn't bring myself to open my lips and tell them that.
“I think you can leave us now. I need a moment with her.” Alpha Claudius told the doctor.
After the door closed, I was left all by myself with the so-called ruthless Alpha.
Terror was devouring me as the silence lingered until he spoke up.
“I'll only give you a few more days to recover. You're not a guest here. Don't forget your mission. You're my-”
“Sex slave and breeder. I-I know that. I haven't forgotten about it.” I broke in in haste.
“Have you been told of your duty as my breeder?” He was surprised that I dared to interrupt him.
“As your breeder, I will let you fuck me until I conceive.” I said honestly.
Maybe I saw it wrong, but an amusement sparked in his eyes.
“Ten.”
“Huh?”
“I'll need you to conceive a total of ten pups for me. The earlier to finish this task, the better.”
Ten? Was he out of his mind? Even if he got me pregnant every year, I'd still have to get stuck here for at least a decade!
“What will happen to me after that? Am I free to go?” I ventured to ask.
“No. You are not.”
“So you'll just keep me here the rest of my life?” This was the first time I saw ruthlessness in him.
“No. You're going to die here after I get what I need from you.”
