REJECTED; Mated To The Alpha I Hate

Chapter 27

Ch. 27 / 118 Apr 29, 2025

Astrid's POV.

“I am the only one who can help you, and trust me, it's best if you listen to me. If you don't…” He paused as he walked closer to me, his presence oozing nothing but danger and fury.

“I won't promise to keep you alive… you will be just like the others!” He notified me, my fist clenched immediately behind me at the sound of his words.

If there was a way, I was willing to stand on my feet and punch him in the face. I was going to hit him countless times and never stop. I was going to make him see that I wasn't as weak as he had imagined.

“What do you want?” I asked, my eyes glaring at him at this moment.

“What do I want? This question again? What if I tell you that you are all I want, Astrid… would you give yourself to me?” He snarled as his hand reached for my chin, caressing it viciously.

“Get your filthy hands off me, rogue!” I lashed out as I pulled my head out of his grip.

“Shut up, Astrid!” He slapped me across the face, my hair clinging to my face and the sweat dripping from my skin.

A soft moan left my lips as his hand came harshly in contact with my cheek.

“It's funny how you think that Alpha Dane is going to come save you though… Trust me, Astrid… he never comes, he never comes to take his Luna back. They stay here and die without a trace. That's the kind of Alpha Dane is… ruthless, weak, and carefree.” The man stated, making me feel somewhat angry.

Alpha Dane was ruthless and carefree. He didn't care what I was doing or where I was, but one thing I just wished for was that he changed tonight and searched for me.

My face trailed to my tummy, and I felt so sorry for my unborn baby for putting it in this kind of situation.

I wished I had never tried to pay Halfdan back. I wished I never tried to make Halfdan see that I too could be rebellious. Maybe I wouldn't have to be carrying a baby in this situation.

Maybe I wouldn't even get rejected and banished by my father.

“I'm really sorry!” I mumbled, tears welling up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. I made sure that the man before me wouldn't get to see me in such situations.

“What's that?” He asked, obviously hearing my mumble and soft sobs, but I didn't say a single word to him. I kept mute, ignoring his question at this moment.

“Why don't you do yourself a favour and tell me what I want to hear so badly, open up to me, and I promise to let you go!” He walked around me in circles and soon stopped right before me.

He took two steps closer to me again, and crouching down, he stared right into my eyes, his mask covering his true identity.

“What's the Alpha's weakness?” He popped the question, and immediately, I scoffed.

They had captured me just to ask me what Alpha Dane's weakness was? Even if I knew it, what made them think that I was going to say it to them?

“I'll give you just three chances before I make you talk by force, Astrid… So tell me, what is the Alpha's weakness?” he urged, staring into my eyes, hoping for a response from me, hoping that I'd open up. But that was never going to happen.

I could only respond to his question with an annoying laugh, which made him angry.

“I see you are trying to push me so hard, but I won't touch you yet… because I promised you three chances… So Astrid, tell me the truth, and you are free!” He stood to his feet and walked behind me.

I was unsure of what he was going to do. Just then, he reached for my hair, and with his hand caressing each strand, he gathered them in his hand and leaned closer to my ear from behind.

“What's Alpha Dane's weakness for the second time!?” He questioned, glaring at me from the side.

“And you think I'd let it out to you if I knew what it is?” I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

He immediately let go, getting frustrated.

“For the third and final time, Luna Astrid… tell me his weaknesses!”

One thing I knew was the fact that the Rogues were going to use it against him. They were going to make him suffer so much if they knew his weakness, and I couldn't let that happen.

“I… don't know!” I snarled, and as my last words left my lips, he slapped me on my face again, my head turning to the right the second I felt the harsh pang on my cheek.

Immediately, he grabbed my neck, not waiting for me to recover from the slap he had given to me right on my face.

“Are you going to speak now or not?” His grip around my neck tightened. It was so painful, but I still wasn't going to let it out.

“I don't know!” I repeated, a painful laughter leaving my lips, which irritated him.

“Pushing your luck, huh?” He leaned closer to my body, and just then, I felt his hand on my exposed shoulder, and even worse, his claws had begun to dig right into my skin.

“Ahhh!!!” I wailed so loudly that my eyes changed into that of my inner wolf. I couldn't do anything but feel pain just because of Alpha Dane.

His claws kept digging into my skin, and he wouldn't stop.

“Tell me the Alpha's weakness, and I promise to let you go!” He sneered, his hand still on me.

“Never!” I said through my gritted teeth, his claws opening each layer of my skin, blood dripping from the wound and my baby trying his best to still be alive in my tummy.

I was going to protect him no matter what, and I made a promise never to expose Alpha Dane's secret. I wasn't going to do that.

“You asked for this, Astrid!” He forcefully pulled his claws out of my skin, my flesh sticking to his claws.

He tightened his fist, and just as he was going to punch me in my tummy, which would clearly kill my child, a voice echoed from behind us, halting him in his tracks.

“Sir, they are here!”

I wasn't sure who was there, but I knew they had arrived at the right time.

“You won't be free until you open up. Think about our discussion tonight, Astrid, cause when I come back here, you are opening everything to me…!” He declared before he turned on his heels.

He was going to walk out, but then he halted, his head turning halfway towards where I sat.

“Remember, Alpha Dane isn't coming for you!” He ended before leaving me all alone.

I felt sad at this moment, tears trickling down my eyes and blood dripping from my shoulders.

For the first time in my life, I wished for one thing: that Alpha Dane would come save me from this hell, just as he helped me back then in Halfdan's pack.

“Please, Mate… come for me!” I whispered, feeling weak as hell.

I was certain that going through this kind of torture again would only make me lose my baby and although I wasn't sure who his father was, I wasn't willing to lose him.
