REJECTED; Mated To The Alpha I Hate

Chapter 34

Ch. 34 / 118 Apr 29, 2025

Dane's POV.

“I said move faster! I am the Alpha, I am the rules of the pack. No one has the right to question my movement!” I commanded, my veins raging with nothing but fury and rage.

I felt a sense of urgency coursing through my veins as Beta Ivar finally accepted and began to drive the car at its fastest speed just as I had commanded.

If we were going to get Edmond or at least find Astrid alive, then that meant we needed to go faster. There shouldn't be any delay, no hesitation.

“That's more like it!” I nodded my head, my focus fixed on the highway that was ahead. We kept driving, and it felt like the journey wasn't going to come to an end soon enough.

“Are you sure this is the route we are to take? Are you sure this is where Edmond went through?” I asked as I turned to Beta Ivar, who was driving.

“Yes, Alpha… this is the path the spies said he went through, and they are waiting at the place where Edmond had entered!” He said, and just then, I had to calm my nerves.

I was going to do anything to get to Astrid wherever it was that she was. Even if it meant crossing several rivers just to get to her, I was willing to do it. I was willing to cross them just to get to her.

The journey was a long drive, and it felt like we were going the wrong way, but because I trusted Beta Ivar, I didn't panic, I didn't hesitate to let him lead the way.

All through the ride, I couldn't help but think about Astrid. I really wished to see her and couldn't wait to set my eyes on her.

After what felt like an eternity, we soon came to a stop right before an old rusty warehouse.

“We are finally here, Alpha Dane!” Ivar exclaimed, turning to look at me.

“This is the place?” I asked just to be certain he was sure.

“Yes, Alpha Dane!” He nodded, and without hesitation, I climbed out of the car and headed straight for where the spies were standing.

“He has been inside the place for more than an hour now, Alpha Dane, and he wouldn't come out… don't you think we should attack the place?” One of the spies I stood behind suggested, his voice below a whisper at this moment.

“No, let's wait and watch if he'd come out. Edmond is a cunning man, and I'm pretty sure that he knows you all followed him from behind!” I stated, my eyes and attention fixed on the warehouse that was before us.

It was getting pretty late and darker by every second of the night, but then, Edmond wasn't coming out, he wasn't showing himself.

“Alpha Dane, are you sure this is right? Let's go and raid the place!” Beta Ivar let out, making me pause for a second.

“Just like you said, he knows we are here, and he might be waiting for us to attack him first! We can't wait for long, and besides, it's getting darker…. Rogues could be around here!” Ivar added with details, his words sending rage down my veins.

He wasn't wrong at this point, and I was certain that there was meaning in what he was saying.

“We should…” I was going to give the final order, but just as I began to speak, I stopped immediately when the metal doors to the warehouse opened.

“Go low, everyone!” I commanded, and they all crouched down, including me. We were waiting for the right time to strike, the right time to attack whoever it was that came out of the place.

Just then, a man putting on a black mask that covered his entire face, leaving just his eyes, walked out of the place. He was also putting on black clothing, and I was pretty sure that it was Edmond.

“That's him, Alpha Dane… we need to get him now!” Ivar urged, and turning to him, I nodded my head, giving him the go-ahead order.

With a sneer on his face, he stood to his feet and charged towards the person. The second he got closer, the man turned around and attacked Ivar first.

I was shocked seeing the kind of fighting skills that the so-called masked man had. The Edmond I knew wasn't this way.

He was an Ex-beta who protected my father, but then, he wasn't this skilled.

Soon, Ivar held his throat and pulling the mask off from his face, he stood stunned.

“What is wrong?” I stood up from hiding and walked over to where he stood.

I halted at the sight before me; he wasn't Edmond just as I had imagined; he was probably one of the rogues.

“He has tricked us!” I mumbled, and immediately, the man pulled his neck out of Ivar's grip and made an escape.

Beta Ivar was going to run after him, but I stopped him immediately, grabbing his hand and halting him in his tracks.

“We need to storm into the warehouse now! It is obvious Edmond was using this just to distract us!” I declared, and without hesitation, Beta Ivar rushed towards the entrance of the warehouse, and with a brutal kick, he pushed the metal doors open.

The second it opened, the first sight I saw was Astrid all alone, sitting down on a metallic chair and looking weak.

Without thinking twice and forgetting that we were in the enemy’s den, I rushed into the warehouse to go get her, but the second I made a step into the warehouse, Beta Ivar's voice echoed from behind me.

“Alpha Dane! Watch out!”

Turning around to understand what was happening, I was stunned to find three hefty men charging towards me with their claws glistening in the dark warehouse.

The sight of them made me freeze. Was this how I was going to die? Was this how Edmond had planned to end my life?

The second they got closer to where I stood, they swung their claws towards me.

“Alpha Dane!!!”
