Love Me, Or Reject Me

Chapter 73 Perfume Course

Ch. 73 / 120 Dec 11, 2024

Freya's POV

The next day, at the perfume store.

"Freya, that guy sent you flowers again," Novia said as she walked into the store holding a bouquet of sunflowers.

"Freya, who the hell sends you flowers every day?"

I looked at the bouquet of sunflowers with a small smile on my lips. "I don't know, maybe some idiot," I joked.

Looking at the familiar handwriting on the greeting card in the bouquet, I knew, of course, that the flowers were from Kingsley.

To be honest, Kingsley had been clinging to me almost every day lately. Where did he still look like an Alpha? He was almost like a husky, and it was causing me a lot of distress.

Looking at the time, it was almost time for classes to start.

In my spare time, I set up a tutoring class, specifically for teaching children who are interested in perfume about perfume making. Today was my first perfume class.

I walked into the room that would be used for the class and began to set up, with Novia helping out. Before long, a lovely group of children arrived, all greeting each other.

"Hi, Kenneth!" Novia suddenly shouted.

Kingsley? What was he doing here?

Thinking about Kingsley's unusually enthusiastic visits lately, I held my forehead helplessly. "Kingsley, who told you to come here? Don't you have a life of your own?"

When I finished, I looked up at the man.

To my surprise, there was no Kingsley anywhere in front of me, only a little boy with his hands full and an embarrassed Novia.

Novia broke the awkwardness with a light cough before walking up to me and explaining, "Freya, he's Kenneth, not Kingsley. K-e-n-n-e-t-h. He's here for class."

My cheeks burned. It was too embarrassed!

I walked over to the little kid. "I'm sorry, Kenneth, right? What a cute name!"

Unexpectedly, an abrupt voice sounded as soon as I finished speaking.

"Freya!"

I looked up, and it was actually that Kingsley guy!

Thinking about the embarrassment I had just caused because of him, I rolled my eyes and suppressed my displeasure as I said, "What are you doing here? It's my first day of class, so don't come and cause trouble! If there's anything, we can talk about it later."

"I'm here for class!" Kingsley proclaimed loudly.

I glanced at the group of small children already sitting neatly in the room, then looked back at the tall Kingsley in front of me. Once again, I held my forehead and said helplessly, "Today's class is for young children. Do you think it's appropriate for you to be here?"

Kingsley, however, disagreed, saying, "So what? You didn't mention that you can only teach children. Besides..."

Kingsley glanced at me and added, "Freya, may I remind you that you've marked me, and you're not getting rid of me!"

I rolled my eyes at the audacious Kingsley before turning around and starting the class.

In the bright and spacious classroom, the pervasive aroma made it feel like being in a garden. I stood in front of the blackboard, holding a bottle of delicate perfume, and smiled at the students who looked at me curiously.

"Hello, everyone, and welcome to the perfume course!" I broke the silence with a gentle voice that captured everyone's attention. Trying hard to ignore Kingsley's intense gaze, I began to introduce different types of perfumes, from fresh citrus notes to deep woody scents, each with its own unique charm.

"Perfume is not just a smell; it is an art, a carrier of emotions and memories. It can evoke our deepest feelings and guide us through time."

"Perfume is like a piece of music; it has its own melody and emotion. In the next course, we will gain an in-depth understanding of the production process of perfume, the selection of raw materials, and the characteristics of different fragrances. I hope that through this class, you will come to understand and appreciate the beauty of perfume more deeply."

Then I decided to guide them through the process of perfume-making themselves. In one corner of the classroom, various bottles, jars, spices, and essential oils from around the world were arranged.

I selected a range of base spices, such as rose, citrus, and vanilla, and then laid them out in front of everyone. "Now, let's get our hands dirty and create our own perfume!"

The students gathered excitedly around the long table, each with a small bottle placed in front of them. The classroom filled with a variety of aromas, intertwining into a symphony of perfumes. Everyone was immersed in the process of creating their own, and laughter abounded.

I walked over to examine each student's work, encouraging them to be creative and try different combinations.

When I reached Kingsley, observing his fumbling but serious attempts, I approached him and asked in a small, teasing voice, "How does it feel? If it's challenging, you can give up."

Of course, I meant not only the perfume.

Kingsley turned his head to me with a serious look in his eyes. "There's nothing in this world that I can't do, not to mention, I find it very interesting." He held out a small bottle containing the still unfinished perfume. "Smell this and see."

I frowned and gave him a quizzical look but moved closer to smell it. As expected, the unfinished perfume only smelled like a mixture of the ingredients used, nothing special.

"It does smell very usual now, doesn't it?" Kingsley asked.

I nodded subconsciously.

Kingsley then picked up a nearby distilling flask and put a drop of some of the liquid inside into the bottle.

Instantly, my keen sense of smell caught a quick whiff of the scent. It was warm but invigorating, like a winter sun capable of melting snow and ice, bringing about the bloom of all flowers in spring.

"See, it's like injecting a soul into a bunch of haphazardly mixed scents. All it takes is to find that dominant scent that fits—just one drop, and you can instantly make the piece complete. And it's all done in the moment the two meet."

Kingsley's deep gaze fixed on me, his eyes filled with genuine emotion. "Just like I did. I added only a distillate of sunflower petals."

Kingsley suddenly leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "Freya, you are the sunflower to me. My world wouldn't be complete without you; it would just be an unfinished piece of work."

Kingsley's hot breath sprayed over my ear, my face burning, my heart racing, and my wolf urging me to come closer to him.
