Love Me, Or Reject Me

Chapter 97 Alpha Alex

Ch. 97 / 120 Dec 11, 2024

Freya's POV

Sure enough, as Grace's words fell, people's face changed.

Jeremy was at my side, his eyes had turned amber, and I could feel the anger of the wolf inside him. I gave Jeremy a wink, reassuring him. I then smiled and walked up to Grace.

Immediately afterward, I raised my hand high in the air and quickly grabbed Grace by the neck, and the next second...

"Bang!"

A loud crash echoed in the conference room.

Grace, who was viciously thrown out by me and slammed into the wall, struggled to get up from the ground, her lips trembling, unable to speak, only able to look at me with a gaze filled with hatred.

"What are you doing, Freya?" Robert questioned me angrily, looking a little surprised, as if he didn't expect that I would dare to hit Grace in public. After all, she was Kingsley's stepmother.

"Nothing, just exercising my rights as Luna and punishing the disobedient werewolf of the pack. What she just said humiliated not only me and the baby in my womb but Kingsley even more. For a werewolf who is disrespectful and disloyal to her Alpha and Luna, she deserves to be punished, no matter who she is!"

I looked coldly at Robert and Grace, the intimidating pressure belonging to Luna slowly radiating from me, forcing them to lower their head.

Then I swept my gaze over the rest of the conference room. "Remember, any werewolf who dares to offend Alpha and Luna will be severely punished, even banished from the pack, and I don't think any of us want that to happen."

Everyone bowed their heads under my gaze. I watched the scene with satisfaction and then sat down in my seat. "So now I guess the meeting can begin now."

"Wait," Grace spoke up again.

I frowned and looked at her coldly. It seems my punishment just now wasn't enough to teach her a lesson.

I clasped my hands to my chest and looked at her with contempt, "Yes?"

Grace, however, suddenly smiled and said, "I don't think you realize, Luna Freya, that the biggest shareholder of the group now is Robert. In other words, even if you are the Luna of the pack, you don't have the right to make decisions about the Wright Group!"

I frowned and looked at Grace, asking, "How is that possible?"

My doubt seemed to have given Grace no small amount of encouragement as she continued, "Don't forget that I'm Kingsley's nominal mother, and after he died and you left, naturally, I got all the shares in his name. Then I gave the shares to Robert."

"But now I'm back, aren't I? And Kingsley isn't dead. So isn't it time for Kingsley's shares to be returned?"

There was a soft smile on my face, but a sharp edge under my eyes.

"What's all this chatter, so lively?"

Just then, a tall figure walked in from the doorway.

I turned my head and saw a middle-aged man in a black suit, exuding an oppressive aura, like a king defying everything.

The moment I met his arrogant and unfathomable eyes, my wolf felt threatened and let out a guttural whimper.

He was Alpha Alex.

Jeremy had straightened up alertly at my side, seemingly ready to protect me at a moment's notice.

Grace had walked up to Alex by now, explaining the current situation to him. Then I saw Alex smiling and walking towards me.

"Hello Luna Freya," Alex said kindly. "I've got the general picture; you were right. You've come back, and Kingsley's shares should be returned. However, Luna Freya, you've only just taken over the pack, and I don't think you have the energy or experience to run the Wright Group. Moreover, you're pregnant. Even though you keep claiming that Kingsley is still alive, but no one can say what will happen in the future, and if anything happens, this child could be Kingsley's only heir. So why don't you let Robert run the Wright Group for you for a while until you give birth? What do you think, Luna Freya?"

My gaze turned colder.

On the surface, Alex seemed to consider for me in every sentence, but in reality, he was clearly warning me not to take any impulsive actions when he mentioned Kingsley.

However, I wasn't about to succumb to his threats.

To garner more support for Robert's successful election as the next Lycan King, Alex needed to maintain a benefit swap or transfer with various packs, and the Wright Group provided substantial financial support for this cause.

That was why they wanted to firmly keep the Wright Group within their control.

Reclaiming the Wright Group from them was my initial step to dismantle their power.

With this in mind, I smiled coldly and looked directly into Alex's eyes. "I'm not sure when the Alpha of The Black Wolf Pack gained the qualifications to interfere in our Shadowmoon Pack's affairs. Moreover, when did an outsider become qualified to manage our pack's Wright Group? Aren't you concerned that people might perceive you as attempting to invade our pack?"

Clearly, the outsider I referred to was Alex's son, Robert.

From any perspective, Robert had no current affiliation with our pack; he belonged to the Black Wolf Pack after all.

Alex's face immediately darkened, but he quickly composed himself. "Of course not. Robert and I are just trying to help. After all, Kingsley is my nephew and Robert's cousin."

"Thank you for that, but I beg to differ. Jeremy, as Kingsley's Beta, is adept at managing the company and handling pack matters," I continued with a slight smile. "However, I do have a favor to ask of you, Alpha Alex."

Alex frowned and inquired, "What favor?"

I smiled and responded, "I would like you to be a witness."

A hint of doubt flickered in Alex's eyes. "Oh? What witness?"

I didn't respond directly to his words but turned my head to Jeremy beside me. "Jeremy, is the share agreement ready?"

Jeremy nodded and then produced the document.

Alex glared at me coldly.

Robert seemed eager to rush over, but Alex stopped him with a slight shake of the head.

I remained silent and signed my name on the agreement, then looked at Robert expectantly, waiting for him to sign.

After a brief standoff, Robert eventually walked over and signed the agreement.

I stashed away the share agreement and spoke indifferently, "In that case, please leave first. The Wright Group's shareholders' meeting is exclusively for members or shareholders of the Shadowmoon Pack."

Upon hearing this, Alex and Robert stood up and left with a cold snort.

Before their departure, Alex gave me a penetrating look, and the unmistakable killing intent in his eyes was hard to ignore.

Grace observed their exit and also stood up, following them out.
