We watched the movie with amusement in our eyes. I went to bed after watching the full movie. It didn't take me long to fall asleep.
I heard many voices in the kitchen. A smile crawled on my face and I rushed the rest of the way into the kitchen, yelling happily.
"I missed you so much."
"My sister!" She opened her arms and took me in a tight hug. "I missed you like hell. Luke told me about your half-Ceremony. Show me." She pulled herself back, placing her both hands on my shoulders. Excitement played in her eyes.
Gleefully, I opened my palm. I was a little nervous too, but not from her reaction.
"Wao!" She swiped her thumb near it. "Does it hurt?" She asked, worriedly.
"No," I shook my head.
"I'm so happy for you. Congratulations, Em."
"Thanks, Ev. You're staying, right?" I asked.
Her face fell and she shook her head. "I came with Luke."
I looked around for him. "Where's he?" I asked, confusingly.
"He came here for a meeting. He's with Uncle and Drake. We have two hours. You're telling me everything." She grabbed my arm and pulled me toward the table.
I chuckled at her excitement. "Two hours won't be enough." I told her.
"Oh, it will be a pleasant surprise. I could wait until next time for you to complete it." She lowered me to the chair and took the front seat.
Fear tightened my stomach. I swallowed before speaking. "It's not fully happy, kinda." I started from the beginning. I told her everything in short form, particularly my real nightmares. How a strange powerful person saved me twice in my nightmares and Darkice saved me every time, how I met him and about our ceremony.
When I was finished, my hands were shivering in fear, my face whitened, too. She took me in a tight hug. "I'm glad you got your mate. He will protect you at all costs."
My arms curled around her neck. "I know. I'm in love with him. But it terrified me thinking what if he doesn't want a weak human like me." I glanced at her with tears in my eyes.
She rolled her eyes pulling back. "You're unnecessarily loading your head, Em. I haven't met him but I can tell he will love you back." She slid her fingers on my cheeks.
I nodded my head. I trust him. I was scared of feeling that worse feeling again. I didn't want to bear it again in any way. I shrugged them off. I trust him. There was no way I would experience them again. " You met him?"
"You were sleeping. He was here when we came."
"Do you wanna meet my friends?" I asked.
"Yes, Jasper told me to go to Sisily house. She came when you were sleeping." I was already on my feet as she tugged me out of the house.
She was running. "I'm still a human. Your wolf speed would make me fall. I don't wanna get injured" I told her, pulling my hand back so she could slow down.
"Oh, yes. Why would you use your feet? Your mate will carry you all the way in a bridal style." She chuckled.
My cheeks turned red. "Shut up, Ev." I ran ahead of her to her door and rang the bell.
The door opened immediately and frowning Sisily looked at me with thinned lips. "What took you so long? I'm waiting like hell." She said, resting her hand on her hip.
I chuckled. She looked like Mom while doing this. But I didn't say this to her.
"Hi, Si. She was talking to me about everything. You know it took time. So it's not her fault."
Sisily scratched her arm. "I didn't mean that. I just want to see you two together." She stepped back so we could come in.
The structure wasn't different from our house, but the decoration was different, and the colors were bright.
"Your house is beautiful." I said, stepping in.
"Thank you."
"So, you're our brother's mate." Ev asked, happily.
"Oh, that's why you're nervous." I blurted out. She was looking a little stressed.
Everly chuckled. "I'm not a threat. I might be different in many ways from my sister. But I like you. You're perfect for our brother. He's happy, we are happy." She said smiling.
I nodded agreeing with her. "I already love you as my friend and sister-in-law." I gave her a quick hug.
She let out a heavy breath out and a genuine smile spread across her face. "I'm truly glad to hear it."
"But I must warn you. Keep your distance from Ava and Luke. They're really the bully type sometimes."
Panic returned on her face. I glared at Ev.
She shrugged her shoulders. "She should know."
"They love leg pulling. Do not take her seriously. Jace will always be at your side. So please, get rid of these expressions." I gestured at her face with my index finger.
"I'll worry about it later. Let's eat. I'm hungry." Sisily said, dejectedly, walking over to the dinner table.
"Oh, I'm hungry too." Everly used her wolf speed and was already on the table.
"I can't believe she's your twin and she's a shifter." She chuckled.
"Me either." I agreed.
"I can hear you two." She rolled her eyes.
"Can't you pretend you're one of us?" I asked, knowing it's just a waste of time to expect this.
"Ha! You already know the answer." She motioned us to sit.
We settled down to have our breakfast. I quickly messaged him to come and I wanted him to meet my sister.
Sisily and Everly were talking. She was telling things to her about Jace from our childhood time. Her werewolf memory was sharper than mine. I didn't remember a lot of things.
The front door opened. Our heads turned to it. Jace and Luke walked in.
Luke's eyes rested on Sisily. "Hi, Luke." I said out loud.
My friend was already nervous. I didn't want him to frighten her with his beta's cold eyes.
"I never thought. You'll get a mate before our Everly." He said.
"Yeap, you didn't get one either. " Everly smirked, getting on her feet.
