Unknowingly, I have done wrong to a lot of people. I understand his hatred now. It was only Darius who was happy. Everything was clear but my questions are confusing me more.
Going away from the palace, I stared in the distance, the land was dark. The plants were only grown in the pots. They were in all shapes. Some were bigger than my room in size. But it couldn't give beauty to the land and just helped the onlookers to see less damage.
In the distance, I saw Edward and Alessandro coming toward the palace. Edward stopped and glared at me.
"You have time now if you wanna kill me." I told him. The fire of his anger would only douse after seeing me dying; it was clear from his hatred in his eyes for me.
He moved with his wolf speed. The hair was raised on the back of my neck. Looking into his eyes, it was clear that I had made a mistake. I wasn't a werewolf. I wanted my sister at my side at that moment, his grasp on my upper arm strangled it and his right hand slapped on my left shoulder throwing me back. The back of my head hit hard, I saw the stars, pain was worse as someone had cut me into pieces. His hand around my arm kept me pinned. I try not to cry out of pain. Tears were already piercing my eyes. I fought not letting them flow down.
His hand curled around my neck. "As you remember everything, Emersyn." He tilted his head toward me, throwing a hard slant at me. The tips of his fingers dug in my skin.
My body tensed up. I lifted my hands to push him away. But it was a faint effort against his iron grip. My heart was beating in my ears. I felt all the pulses. He would kill me.
"Not fighting back, huh?" He snarled, smirking darkly.
I hate this person too. I tried to kick him. But he dodged it. His grip tightened. His lips moved but I couldn't hear a thing. I felt pain in my entire body. I couldn't lift my arms. They lumped at my side. His face turned blurry.
I wasn't certain but I saw a strong jaw clenching around his hand. His grasp loosened and I slammed down on the ground. A huge tree was shadowing over me. Why didn't it shatter or fall to the other side when my head collided with it?
I blinked and the sight was clearing now. My breathing turns shallow. Elizabeth was towering over me. Her hand shot out and she slapped hard on his cheek. I want to chuckle. His head snapped to one side. I waited for anger which never flashed. She spat the words out in anger. But I couldn't catch a thing. I can't be deaf.
A white wolf nudged its nose against my cheek. She whimpered. Her white wolf reminds me of my sister. She must be Silver. A warm palm rested against my cheek. Her lips moved but I couldn't get a thing.
I parted my lips and closed them rapidly when unbearable pain grasped my throat. I couldn't even move my arm under the pain.
She rested her palm on my throat. Tears burned down my cheeks. She lifted her chin looking up and said something.
Aidan's face came into view. He scooped me up in his arms. It hurts like a bitch. Instant death seemed cool to me.
Everything was spinning around me. I closed my eyes. But I could still feel it. I was feeling worse.
I felt like laying down on something very soft. A soft hand laid on my neck. I whimpered in pain. I felt warmth seeping through my skin. The pain started to lessen.
After a full minute, I opened my eyes. "I thought. I'm gonna die." It felt so relieved to hear my own voice.
"Why did you go out there? You scared the shit out of me." Elizabeth glared down at me with her tearful eyes.
I tried to pull myself up. I cried in pain. "My shoulder and arm. They're still hurting." I squeezed them hoping to push the pain away.
"Edward is a strong wolf. It took her power to heal your throat. She won't be able to do magic for three days." Silver said, helping me in sitting.
A chill skated down my skin. "You're kidding me. Dastien would... he'd be furious at me for inviting his brother to attack me." I panicked. I stared at her in open-mouthed shock. "Three days? Why?" I muttered.
"We're in the dark realm. It changed things. My fae powers are weak here but I could shift."
"Why are they weak?" I snorted.
"Because, I need time to adjust here. It is like we're new here, give us some time, we'll be fine." Elizabeth said.
I forgot she was reborn, too. "Dastien..." I muttered under my breath. He was already furious at me.
I felt a hand covering my mouth. "Don't say his name. He could hear you easily. Everything is his here. And..." Elizabeth sighed. Suddenly, she looked so pale and weak. "He would kill Edward for laying his hand on you."
"No, " I gasped. "He wouldn't do this."
"It's against the rules. A royal can never hurt a human, particularly a King's mate.' Aidan said, nodding.
" Don't scare me. I won't let him know." I remembered her hitting him. A pang hit me. "I'm sorry for causing this to you. You shouldn't..." I gulped. "... Hit him. I think I should apologize to him."
"You're not doing such a thing. " Silver exasperated, her eyes flashed amber. "He was just standing there and watching you die. I'd never forgive him for this."
"If he dares to come in front of me. I'm gonna hit him again." Elizabeth fumed in anger.
"It was my fault. Totally my fault..." My words died when I saw Alessandro and Edward entering the room.
"Don't take a step in or I'll tear you both apart." Silver hissed.
Aidan and I gasped. That wasn't good. I could feel my heart gaining speed.
Alessandro just looked in her eyes, I could see pain in them.
"I thought she had gained her powers." Edward started.
"Blind in your ego." Silver snapped angrily.
"Do you think she would have allowed you near her? She would have burned you in ashes." Elizabeth hissed angrily again. She turned her back to him. "Don't tell me you're that dumb, Edward King."
My eyes widened as I saw her saying his real name angrily. "Elizabeth, it's my fault. Please, hear him out." I spoke softly.
She shook her head. Tears ran down her eyes and they hit like drops of acid on the floor.
"You don't remember a thing. But he does. How could he risk everything again? Our souls, Elizabeth, and mine, are bound together with yours. We're your protector. The Queen's most trusted allies. You won't die alone, Em. We'll die with you. You're unaware of your powers but they protect us. You protect us. Don't ever say we protect you. " Silver said.
I froze, glancing at her with big eyes. "P-lease, forgive them."
She shook her head. "Get out of the room before I do something unpleasant." Elizabeth snapped.
Edward glanced at her, gloom filled his eyes though his poker face wasn't giving a hint. He turned and strode out. Alessandro went along with him.
"I messed up everything. Please, guys." I looked at them.
"Go to sleep. Your body ache won't go away but it will be better than now. You can move them without feeling much pain." Silver said.
"I don't feel like sleeping. Why don't you not understand that it's my fault?"
"We've heard it a lot. Aidan, please help her go to sleep." Elizabeth asked.
I snorted. "I'm not a kid anymore. I will sleep... whenever I want to...." My voice turned in a low tone as Aidan rested his hand on my head.
I looked at them with heavy eyes. Silver reclined my head on the pillow. She muttered something. I couldn't hear but I closed my eyes, drifting off.
