After a long shower, I peered into the room, cracking the bathroom door open. His room was a hall and the bathroom was bigger than anyone could think. Damn! He lives like the king of the world.
He heaved a deep sigh as our eyes locked. A playful smile appeared on his face. 'It's dangerous, you know.' I heard him in my head.
I lifted my brows and a blush crawled on my cheeks. I was wrapped in a black towel. It was bigger than my size. It was reaching above my knees. "There's no danger now. If you're forgetting." I stepped out from behind the door. I was eighteen.
His eyes heated on my body as they drifted down. 'You're eighteen. No barrier between us now, until you don't want it.'
My body heated hearing him clearly in my head. He strode over to me and wrapped his arm around me. His fingers brush the side of my waist. Flames flickered through me as he ran his hand up and rested it on my bare shoulder.
He leaned close. He could feel my heart, my needs. I want him, too.
A full smile flashed on his face as he looked deep into my eyes. He leaned forward and brushed his lips on mine.
I felt empty and sad when he took a long step back and withdrew his hand. "Change," He went into the washroom, without looking my way.
Confused, my gaze followed him. What was wrong with him? He was sweet and romantic and he turned cold, suddenly.
"Emersyn, I brought you some dresses." Miuccia walked into the room, holding them. "Your room is as you left it but you need to eat more, not much but a little to fit into your dresses. Until then, this will work." She looked up at me, smiling.
I heard the water turning on in the washroom. My eyes rested on the dresses. They were beautiful. My gaze caught a green gown with white flowers printed on it "I like this one."
"All are yours." She placed them on the couch. "I'll send the help." She said
"I'll do it, Mama."
I could feel she wanted to say something as her eyes turned to the door again and again. "Alright, if you could come downstairs. They are waiting for you." Reluctantly, she turned.
"Mama," I hesitated but she needed a hug. I curled my arms around her.
She relaxed and patted my back. "I'm fine, honey." She muttered.
Pulling back, I glanced up at her. Worry made her forehead crease. She's taller than me. "We're staying with you as it has been happening for years." I told her.
She just stared at me in disbelief. She parted her lips but she couldn't speak.
'Can I get my towel?' I heard him in my head.
I head snapped at the door. "What? You just went in. Wait. Let me change."
First confusion and then she realized and turned to the door. "We'll talk later."
"Sure," I sauntered over the door and banged my palm on it. "You have to wait. Let me change... " I yelled, startled when he pulled me in. "What are you doing?" My big eyes stared at him, I was frozen to the spot, but I also felt butterflies swirling in my stomach.
"My towel," He said in a low husky voice.
My heart beats in my chest loud. "Can't you sacrifice your towel for me?" I forced the word out as I found my voice.
He shook his head, the corners of his lips were curled up. "Anything for you, sweetheart. But not this." He ran his index finger under my collar bones leaving a hot trail behind on my skin. He was doing things to me.
I couldn't hide anything from him. He knows my heart is running and my feelings for him and things I want to do to him.
"They're waiting for us." I reached for the towel. It was going to happen one day. Why should I be shy?
His hand curled around my hand. "You're weak." His head shook, slightly.
I almost stared at him in annoyance. "I'm healthy to have s** with my mate." I snapped. I was fed up with human things.
He smirked, lowering his chin. His gaze swept over my cleavage. His eyes flashed fire. "I didn't mean like that, mate. When I'm in, you won't be allowed out of the room." He said in a powerful tone that sent a rush of electricity down my spine.
I gazed up at him under my lashes. My cheeks were on fire. Something else also caught my gaze. Wow! His eyes are amazing. I opened my mouth, but nothing came to my mind.
A bright smile lightened his face and he blinked his eyes. He stared at me with forest-green eyes.
"Your eyes? They're green." I squealed, pulling myself forward to have a better look.
His smile dropped. "My memories have been restored. That's the real color of my eyes." His jaw ticked.
"Isn't it cool? You have changed them, um.. amber, fire, and forest green. This one is amazing." I tiptoed and reached up to brush his lips with mine.
He wrapped me in his arm and pressed his lips longer. I felt his hard body pressing mine. "Keep it on. I won't be able to control it." He said, against my lips.
"But your friend doesn't agree with you." I chuckled, squeezing my eyes.
He growled and stole another kiss. Gosh! I want him. I rested my head on his chest and looped my arm around his neck. His heartbeat reached my ears. My feelings are getting stronger for him. I can't fight them.
'I can't fight them either. You haven't eaten much. It won't be normal like humans do. Do you want to complete the ceremony first?' I heard him in my head. His fingers brushed on my cheek.
I bit on my lower lip. "I don't know. If I want you, you have to." I asked.
"I will, Mi Vida. Anything for you." He leaned his face closer.
I inhaled, hearing his words. He didn't need to say anything. I trust him.
He smiled and smacked his lips on my cheek. "They're waiting," He opened the door and withdrew his arm. "Change. They're getting impatient."
Wait! Oh! It's a disappointment. I nodded feeling stupid for demanding this, I rushed out and grabbed the dress my eyes caught first.
I tried not to think about anything. I am going to be around powerful people. They're not exactly people. I don't want to embarrass myself. I was trying to not feel a thing as his arm was curled around me while we went downstairs.
A shiver crept up my spine as all eyes turned up to us. There was disturbing silence in the hall. I tried to step away from him. His fingers tighten around me, glueing me to his side.
I lowered my chin, not matching their eyes. I never came into my parents' house with a male friend or boyfriend.
I looked at my mate through the corners of my eyes. His look was intense, nothing was visible from his poker face.
"Em, why don't you sit with us? I'm just wondering... did you remember something? " Silver asked.
If she has felt my discomfort. I wanna thank her. I took a step ahead, out of the ring of his arm. When he didn't stop me, I took the remaining treads and sat on the high stool next to the high desk. Were they drinking or what? I don't know or these pieces of furniture could be here for decoration.
"Do you like it here?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yes," Though I didn't get to see the entire place but from his room I could guess it would be amazing.
"I'll give you a tour later." Silver said.
"Thanks" It was only us who were making conversation. The Alphas were sitting in their chairs around the big square table, except Daniel and Edward. Daniel leaned against the wall, his gaze out of the window, staring at the dark land. Edward wasn't looking very happy, his jaw was clenched and he was staring at the carpeted floor. Alessandro was also looking quiet and lost in his thoughts or were they talking in their heads? I wasn't certain. Mama was sitting on the couch. Cyril was sitting next to her, his back was resting against the couch, his arms were folded over his chest, and his eyes were on Dastien and Darius. I didn't see him before. He walked out of the kitchen and placed the tray on the table. All reached for their cups of coffee.
"Everyone is here." Mama started, drifting her gaze on all faces.
"You want to perform..." Edward's eyes were hard on Cyril. He pressed his lips together.
"The full ceremony?" Alessandro completed.
"The small mark is still on your palm but the big one... It didn't fade with father's death, only the one didn't fade.." He looked up at her and Cyril, his gaze full of exasperation. "The day you performed the full ceremony. How could you do this?" He hissed in his anger. Alessandro slammed his hand on the table making everything fall and pushing on his feet.
"Watch your tongue." Cyril gritted his teeth.
Mama traced her index finger on the mark. "I was engaged to Cyril." She drew her finger away from it and halted on her palm. "I was never into... anything with Chris. We were just good friends. We did this to bring peace to the realm." She said, not lifting her gaze from the mark.
